BROWN APPLIANCE & MATTRESS

Called the morning of 7/3/14, a day before the holiday weekend, was told a service call would probably have to wait until the following Monday the 7th. They called me the same afternoon to let me know they had a technician become available in the area, we are in a remote location at our summer cottage. Technician showed up and was done in side a half hour, paid with credit card, no hassles, no problems and no surprises. Technician was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I give them a thumbs up and will use again. I only wish the bill was a little cheaper for only a belt replacement, the only "B" I gave them, everything else I give an "A".

Called Brown's and was able to get an appt. the very next day. They called exactly as promised at 8am sharp, and were at my house within 20 minutes. Joe the technician quickly and efficiently diagnosed the problem and replaced the circuit board (he even had a spare with him) and completed the repair in 20 minutes.

We've bought several major appliances from them at a good price--and supporting a local business. Every service person is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They have a great and well deserved reputation in a wide area here in Maine.

They were at my house about three months ago. I wasn't the one living there, it is my house but my uncle was living in it. I don't know what was wrong with my refrigerator but whatever was wrong they fixed it. We called them and they came right out. They came the next day we called and fixed it. They were there when they said they would be. They didn't give a nine-hour window, they just said what time they would be there and they called before four. Everything was good. My uncle said they were very good.

I was very satisfied with the quality of the work. I will be using them again, if needed.

I had been looking at and pricing appliances for a kitchen remodel, and when we went to Browns I got expert advice and pricing better than the Lowes or Home Depot right down the road. They even offer a "contractor discount" if you buy 3 or more appliances at once. We ordered the appliances on the spot even though we were not sure when we could take delivery. They happily held the items until we were ready (at no charge to us). When they came to deliver, the electrician still had to bring the power up from the basement to the new location for the range to they gave us two different power cords- a 3 and 4 prong so we would be sure to have the right one. (yup- the power cords were added free!). When we had some trouble with the dishwasher a few months back they came out. Turns out the plumber had installed something wrong. It was a very simple fix (but not one we could have figured out from the owners manual). The work was covered under the warranty and it was no trouble at all. Overall it has been a wonderful, hassle-free experience. I highly recommend Browns.

I've done business with them before. They take away the old appliance and replace with the new. They are very good to deal with and I'll use them again.
