Description of Work: We used Powerhouse Electric to install internet cabling to the second floor. It wasn't an easy job and the service was thoughtful and professional.

Very quick service, arriving at my house only two hours after calling. He quickly identified and resolved the problem. I do plan to use PowerHouse Electric in the future - prices are quite good and work is done in a timely manner.
Description of Work: The circuit breaker for the range failed internally. Paul Houde of PowerHouse Electric troubleshot the problem with the power to the oven to the failed circuit breaker and then replaced the breaker.

Very well. I'm handy and this job would have taken me about 10 hours due to the difficulty of fishing wires through walls from the first floor to the basement. Power house had the entire job wrapped up in less than 4 hours. We were very happy with the result.
Description of Work: Installed a radiant heater above our office desk in a particularly cold room in the house. Ran wiring from circuit breaker to the heater. We provided the heater and a spare breaker. Powerhouse provided the remaining materials and labor.

It went very well. He arrived exactly when he said he would, to the minute! His thoughtfulness was immediately evident when he expressed concern about blocking a car. We toured the house to identify the detectors, and he found one I'd missed (a heat detector) in the garage. He said that not all the detectors needed to be combination detectors, which saved us some money. He let me decide whether to install a combination detector in one location where a case could be made as to whether it was necessary or not. As he fixed the plugs, he enjoyed explaining the function of different wires and whether he installed them that way. He was thoroughly knowledgeable about what he encountered. The installation of the phone jack was the most demanding task. He needed to figure out where the phone wires came into the house and then get a wire to the particular location I had in mind. He needed to drill a hole up from the basement through the bottom of the built in cabinet to the spot where I wanted it. His accuracy was amazing! The phone is installed just where I wanted it and he covered the hole in the wall where it had been. No more eyesore. Because I opted for the extra combination detector, and he also needed a heat detector for the garage, he came back later the same day to finish the installation, enabling both of us to end the day with the job complete, ready to move on to something else.
Description of Work: Paul updated our smoke detectors, installing a combination fire and carbon monoxide detector on each level of the house and one in the room over the garage. He repaired two plugs which we had been unable to use for awhile. He installed a new phone jack in a cabinet, so that we could rest the phone on top of the cabinet and remove it from its unsightly location on a kitchen wall.

It went great! Paul is very polite and really good at what he does- plus his prices are more than fair for the level of knowledge and help he provides. Will be calling PowerHouse again when we need something!
Description of Work: Had some rewiring done, moved a 220 line etc.

I decided to use Paul Houde of PowerHouse Electric due to some earlier experiences involving smaller jobs. This was a larger project and it went all according to plan. Cost estimates were accurate and all work was explained in terms I could understand. I have always found Paul to be honest and trustworthy. His work is meticulously done and his price is reasonable. He is there when he says he will be and made it clear in advance when he would not be there. I just feel like I'm in good hands when he is working in my home.
Description of Work: On this recent project, PowerHouse Electric did a full upgrade of my electric service entrance and a variety of repairs throughout my 3-tenant residence. Paul replaced old fuse panels with new modern breakers, installed a new meter pack outside and added a "House Panel". He relocated one tenant's panel into the 2nd floor apartment to give the tenant access to their own breakers. He also changed my older smoke detectors to the newer combination "Smoke & CO2" style to meet current fire codes, he installed roof/gutter heat tapes, added dedicated AC, microwave and freezer circuits and upgraded the kitchen counter receptacles. Along the way he brought to my attention any safety concerns he found in the old wiring and made corrections after discussing options with me.
