+ 0 moreSteen is a consummate professional and craftsman: responsive throughout, incredibly detail-oriented and meticulous, with the beautiful eye of an old world craftsman who stands by every inch of his work. Shockingly affordable, and a very smooth process due to Steen’s attentiveness to and patience with every possible aspect of our family’s difficult logistics! He brought out beauty and lovely lines in our old pieces of which I was totally unaware.

+ 0 moreTo replace my chairs it would have cost $1500 per chair, so I thought I would have them recovered. I emailed pictures of my chairs to Steen Boldsen and we talked about the job. He made some excellent suggestions regarding fabrics. He rebuilt the chairs before recovering them and added nail heads. Now I have two new chairs! I am very happy with his work and I would highly recommend Steen to anyone looking to recover their furniture.

+ 0 moreThe whole process went great and I was very satisfied with the work. Steen Boldsen is the owner of the business and he did an outstanding job on the cushions. I am a seamstress myself and I appreciated the high quality of his work and his attention to detail in making everything " just right". The cost of project was very reasonable and done in a timely manner. If I have any furniture refinishing projects in the future, he will be the first one I call.

Viking Upholstery and Refinishing offers the following services: In addition to fine upholstery and cushion making, we are able to rebuild and reglue broken pieces that need structural attention. Stripping and refinishing is also a specialty of ours using the finest stains and refinishing materials the trade offers. We also weave/cane seats in all styles including Danish twine. An interesting blend of the Arts and Craft tradition permeates our thinking and approach to every piece we restore. We believe furniture should function excellently and look beautiful.
I don't engage in a lot of upholstery cleaning, I tend to leave that to the professionals.
