 + 0 moreRook was very professional. They arrived when they said they would and worked quickly and with minimal mess. Tim was great at ensuring that Rook worked around our schedule and that we had everything we needed. The insulation work was for all attic space over livable areas (everything except the garage). It included blown-in cellulose (~15 in depth) and spray foam where needed. After the work was completed they performed an energy audit and addressed any remaining issues. The work qualified for money from Efficiency Maine which took $1,000 off the total. There was one instance where the ceiling around a recessed light was cracked a little (about half an inch around the light). Rook took full responsibility and patched up the ceiling.
Description of Work: Rook Energy completely redid the insulation in our attic.

 + -1 moreThe project went without a hitch, and it was actually a pleasure seeing the team in action. They had a good time solving the issues inherent in fixing up a 19th-C house, and were great at communicating with me every step of the way. They came in a few hundred dollars under budget, and served as a key intermediary between Efficiency Maine and myself to help with all the paperwork for our energy loan. I highly recommend Rook!
Description of Work: Rook Energy helped us update a 1880s fixer-upper with literally no insulation (and this is in Maine), insulating the roof flat and slopes and the basement rim-joist. They also replaced two doors in the basement and did a complete overhaul of our kitchen ceiling, removing a crawlspace above the kitchen, removing the ceiling joists, and installing three hemlock beams, transforming a cramped low ceiling into a cathedral-ceiling.

Description of Work: I had an energy audit done as my home heating costs are astronomical. Tim was very prompt, fitting my house in within a week of contacting him, and completed the audit in a timely manner. The report was very thorough and showed me exactly what needs to be done.
