Good experience overall. There was an issue with stone needing to be ordered and possibly delaying install. They did to install on 2 separate days as a result. Stove an stone look great. They spent time teaching me how to use and clean the stove. They were not able to match the vinyl siding when relocating vent. As a result they used a extra piece that I had. They had to make do and it does not look as clean as it could. I will say most stove shops will not take on a complete job like this. It was much more convenient having them to the whole job. I would use them again.

They came right on schedule and finished the work in the estimated time. They also took great pains not to trample in any extra mess into the house.

From the time we walked into the showroom until install the staff were friendly and were a wealth of knowledge! When we were choosing our pellet stove they didn't try to sell us items that were not functional or necessary. The man was very honest. When we decided on our pellet stove we ordered it and installation was scheduled. Ordering to installation was about 3 weeks. They came on the day that was decided. Three men arrived-all were VERY FRIENDLY and COURTEOUS (they were very careful not to make any extra mess in my home-there was snow on the ground). Install was quick and they patched the hole inside and out that the previous pellet stove needed for venting and replaced the piece of siding as well. After install was complete, one of the men walked me through how to clean and maintain the stove. He answered all of my questions. After install they cleaned up all their equipment, the hearth and the stove.

Work went very well. They cam when they said they would, did the job quickly and the estimate was right on the money.

I ordered a gas hearth (freestanding fireplace) from Maine Stove and Chimney at their Sanford store, and also had it installed by them.The folks at the store were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.The techs that installed the stove were professional, punctual, curteous and also friendly. They coordinated seamlessly with the propane installer, who arrived at the same time the MS&C techs did.MS&C did the stove install, gas hook-up,hearth pad, and the stove pipe. This entailed cutting a through-hole in my living room wall for the direct vent stove pipe.All this was done in a matter of hours, and when the techs were finished, they left no traces of the days work..One month later, a switch in the stove failed, and MS&C sent their tech out promptly. He installed a new switch, and cycled it many times until he was satisfied that it was functioning correctly.I am very satisfied with Maine Stove and Chimney, I would use them again in a heartbeat, and I highly recommend their services.
