Could not plaster for their lives. Drove a nail through my electrics and then tried to blame it on the wood installers who came in after them to do their work failing to acknowledge that the electrical switch was working before they laid down the boards in preparation for the wooden floor which was being fitted by a different contractor who did a brilliant job.

They are local and have a wonderful handyman division so if I need small jobs done, even though they are a general contractor, they have this division that is wonderful and will do small jobs for me. I think they are great. I looked around and their price was fine at the time. Their quality is great; it has been years and it is perfect.

They repaired a rotted door frame and reset the storm door to the frame.

David was very responsive to our requests and was always professional. They gave us the best price for the work we wanted and the materials we requested. The crew arrived on time, were easy to deal with and addressed any problems that arose during the construction. We had some special requests that were completed to our satisfaction. I LOVE my deck

Initial contact (and most throughout the project) was via email and David got right back to me. We almost didn't go with Maine Coast because they were a little too busy to fit into our timeline but we ended up extending our time horizon and we're so glad we did. Take it from someone whose had more than their share of bad experiences with local contractors, there's a very good reason these guys are so busy-take it as a an indication of their professionalism and quality and know that they're worth the wait. The crew was early both days and more than adequate for the job at hand. They were polite and did the job the way I think they would have if it were their own home. They cleaned up after themselves each day, something we'd never seen from other contractors we've used and so far we're very happy with the end result. Their quote was slightly higher than others we'd received, but their first quote was their final price and I appreciate that. I think a lot of other outfits would have tried to pad their bill with findings and problems after the fact, plus these guys are running a very professional office and that comes with overhead which is to be expected. I would definitely recommend them and plan to use them again in the future; you can't beat the service level that comes from a larger outfit like this as opposed to a mom and pop contractor shop. Only wish we'd used these guys last year instead of the small outfit that did our exterior reno!
