We were very impressed by Jeff Gillis, president of the company and his willingness to explain what was happening with our stand of trees, what to expect in the future, and additional suggestions about what to do on adjacent parts of our property. He was extremely prompt to reply and attentive to our questions.

EXCELLENT! Owner Jeff Gillis came to look at our property and see what we needed done - and followed up very quickly with a written proposal for the work and the cost - then together we chose the dates for the work to be done. He was very professional as well as patient as I had never had tree work done before and did not know what or how much was needed. After receiving the proposal for the work - I requested to divide it between two dates, in order to spread out the payment. Jeff was most accommodating, saying he would cooordinate with other work he had in the South Portland area. He checked back with me several times to confirm the dates and times. The work was done exactly when and as promised; lots of trimming was necessary, and the property was left beautifully cleared and cleaned-up The work itself is beautiful - the two trees have not looked this good in years - my husband and I could not be more pleased! Many thanks go to Jeff and his crew (and to Angie for the recommendation) - we most highly recommend WellTree.

The morning after Hurricane Sandy hit, when we discovered a tree was leaning towards our neighbor's house, we called several arborists but only Welltree listed a cell phone number for reaching their crew. Jeff took the call, came out soon after, and sent a crew out in the afternoon. They quoted us one amount and then charged us less. They were polite, professional, and great arborists. They worked safely, gave us our money's worth, and did an immaculate clean up. We also really like that they make themselves (and their cell phone #) accessible, so we didn't have to wait and wait to find out if they were free. Fabulous customer service. We recommend them highly.

They did a great job. They did a neat job and cleaned up the mess. The price was right and I was very happy with them. I plan on using them again.

Owner (Jeff Gillis) responded promptly to my request for an inspection of the property and a proposal. He quickly provided a detailed written proposal via email describing all work for each tree. He tagged each tree with different color tape according to work to be done. Scheduled work for completion within two weeks and completed on time and for expected price. I consider price reasonable considering the large amount of work he and his crew did. Jeff has good contact and communications skills (considering I live in California and had to work by email, photo and phone with him in Brunswick). Important: he was able to prove he had workers comp insurance! And detailed knowledge of tree work. Highly recommended!

The large dead tree was in a precarious location, next to buildings and power lines. Well Tree took the tree down quickly and cleanly, and ground it up right out front. All that was left was some sawdust on the roof. Very happy to have that thing gone! This was the best price I found, as well.

They have been superb. They have also sprayed for gypsy moths and taken care of that.

Their price, as I recall, was quite reasonable especially compared with some of the other quotes that we got. The work was quick and easy. I’ve had no problems; so I was pleased with them. They were very particular about the timing and were knowledgeable. I remember them saying that the timing was really the key in making sure that the spraying works. There may have been a tiny little bit of remnant nests around, but they were pretty far away. They are fine and I will definitely use them again.

I had about a dozen trees taken out. They were fantastic. I would definitely recommend him.

They were excellent. They did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it. At the end I asked them to cut and deliver some wood to my son?s house and they did that for a reasonable charge.

I spent about $600 for the removal. The job went very well. The guy gave me good service. He came out on time. He was personable. He did what he said he would do. I will use them again in the future.

Great! They were fast and neat. We were quoted a price that wasn't entirely accurate (one of the servicemen gave us the quote) and the owner honored the price we were quoted. I would definitely call them again.

Jeff Gillis was very helpful and adaptable to our needs. Personally came by to give us the estimate, came again after subsequent storm damage happened, and came again during the work to deal with an unexpected development regarding neighbor's tree. Worked with us and our neighbors on billing for a joint tree removal cost-sharing portion of the job. He and his workers were very polite and professional. Only mix-up was that they arrived and started one day earlier than agreed, without prior notification, after we had planned to be in attendence for the work on the next day. We would definitely use them again.

Owner very responsive, got us a quote quickly, scheduled job within 2 days of my approving proposal. Job was done quickly and area cleaned up. Crew was very professional, courteous, and safety conscious.

We phoned Jeff Gillis, the president ot the company, who came out right away to give us an estimate. The tree removal was scheduled a week from that date. The crew arrived right on time and did an excellent job of cutting down the rather large trees and removing all of the debris. They were well equiped and well organized -- we were most impressed. The stump removal and clearing of the border area was performed a week afterwards. Chris, who performed this work, did a great job. He was friendly, helpful and accommodating. We were very pleased to receive the Angie's list discount for all of this work.

It went very well as I have described above. It was a lot of work but the three men moved with good speed and it seemed to be done in no time.

Within a day of the time I called and left a message for Jeff, the company president, he returned my call. We set up an appointment for about 10 days later for him to visit our property to see what we'd like to have done. After he had a look at the job, he mailed the estimate to me and we then set up a time for the first phase of the work (fertilizing the fruit trees) to be done. The worker arrived right on schedule, was a delight to deal with and finished the work as agreed. The second phase (everything else that needed to be done) had also been scheduled, and 3 workers arrived, again, right on time. They were professional, courteous and very hard-working! I chatted with them a bit, but they were right on the job all the time. They were a pleasure to have around and did a superb job. The bill was right on estimate and our property is looking considerably better.
