Said my $50K roof job was "Too Far"- literally a 30 min drive. Just didnt want the job, very strange to me.

I've used Wally J Staples twice; once for a door and once for windows. They are wonderful. The job was done very well and they cleaned up behind themselves. The communication was great and hit the job right on the money. I had a previous contractor do some other windows and they did a horrible job. Wally's folks even fixed the poor job from the other contractor. I will hire them for any needs that I may have in the future.

Great! We've used Wally before. We wouldn't go anywhere else. He and his crew are professional, timely, clean and ON TIME! They were there for 3 days with this project and when I came home from work each night I couldn't even tell they had been there.

The experience has been excellent. Price is probably the only question accept the fact that I am completely satisfied with everything they did. They are probably some of the nicest people to work with, that I have had the pleasure of coming across in many years. They are very professional and on time. The subcontractors are of excellent quality. They worked with me and they listened. Anything that I picked up on, they made adjustments without any questions. It was a pleasure working with them. They gave us an estimator Paul who was an excellent guy. It was business. Their carpentry was so good and their plumbing was so good. I found couple of extra things that needed to be done and asked them to take care of it since they were here. They just put it into their schedule and took care of it.

Wally Staples has an excellent reputation in our area and I feel that his organization is well run and polished. When I had my meeting with the project estimator, Mr. Staples joined us at the table and answered my many questions. It was unfortunate that the plan being discussed was bare bones in every way -- the new floor plan was seriously lacking and the estimate was well below what would have been needed. The contractor that I hired had done all of the planning and leg work up front so, when I received his estimate, I was able to move forward feeling that we had a solid plan and the real costs covered.

I liked their services very much. They were very professional and did the job very, very well and on-time, on-schedule, and on-budget. The prices are little high. I probably could have got it done cheaper, but I would have sacrificed some quality I think if I got it any cheaper. I would definitely use them again in the future.

I met with this contractor following the final bill and requested a breakdown of charges which he did provide. Interestingly he justified all his costs to his satisfaction.

We hired Wally Staples to frame, put windows and doors in, and roof our new home. His employees were very professional, neat, and courteous. The architect's plans were difficult and inaccurate but the head of the crew was able and willing to work through them making the plan work. We are retired builders ourselves so were able to help with the process and our input was welcomed. Although a bit pricey, we went with Wally Staples after checking his references and talking with other professionals. A beautiful job, well done. In this economic climate we felt it was prudent to go with a contractor that would survive.

Their estimate was around $3600 for the job. I have never used them but I have been checking them out and I believe that they are a reputable company. I think that they are in the higher end of cost. I was going to do a major renovation on my old house and I was looking at having them do it and I was checking them out. They are very solid and you can trust them. I had a very good feeling that they would get the job done and do exactly what they said they would do. The baseline is that their price is going to be higher than that of other people. I selected somebody different to do the job because they would do it for more than a third less of what they quoted. They were not the highest bid I got but in the middle of the pack. I wanted to have them do my work but couldn't justify the cost. They don't jump as quick as other people that are hungry, but they came when they said they were going to come. They were very professional.

It is a well-run company. He does a good job. He has a good crew and he brings in quality subs. I would use him again in the future if necessary.

They said that they would be around soon after the estimate was given. I called around the end of December and he said that he would be sending somebody. They started working only today. So, I am not too impressed with the speed of things here. They were terribly expensive. He was a reputable builder.

Very pleasant and responsive, gave estimate, but we were naive about cost of what we wanted done, and decided against going ahead with that project at that time. We would contact this business again when needed for other work.

Fabulous, no problems, very professional, work done on time as promised, all details completed, and the owner came by before and after the work was done, to make sure everything was as promised

It went well. He gave me an estimate, which I thought was a bit high, but I am glad I paid the extra money because he did a very good job. He has a good reputation and lived up to it. His crew came to the house exactly when he said they would, took out all the old windows, and replaced with modern energy efficient Paragon windows--all in one day. They didn't leave a mess, worked hard and got it done. No complaints at all. Good work ethic.

It went very well. Originally, I was in the process of purchasing another home, and after it was inspected, I had Wally Staples come out and do an estimate on what needed to be done. He spent a lot of time and effort making sure my estimate was detailed and complete. The estimate was free, and when you consider it took up about 3-5 hours of his time, that is a definite plus. Then, when I purchased a different house, I knew I wanted this company to do the work. I had seen his work on a friend's house,and was very impressed with the fact that they not only took care of what needed to be done, but the guys were very conscientious, very accomodating, and they remember every single detail you tell them, AND they clean up after themselves. My house was spotless after the work was done, and they checked, check and double checked everything. The owner came by a couple of different times during and after the work was finished to see how things were going, and how the work was completed. This is my first home and I was extremely overwhelmed and not knowledgeable in home repairs and needs. This company makes sure that the work done is very high quality, and that everything looks absolutely beautiful, and that the owner is pleased. Wally has all of his own staff, so the work is not contracted out unless there's something unusual, they all work together very well, and are very professional. My new roof is a beautiful burnt siena color, it is high quality and algae resistant, since I'm near the water, the rear deck was stained and looks beautiful......
