The job went very smoothly. Kai and Mike showed up when they were supposed to, worked hard and cleaned up after the day was done. We had a complicated tile and floor, and it looks great! I will definitely use them again.

I would check with the Better Business Bureau before hiring Romano Tile again. Rob Romano's crew overall did a very good job. They were very pleasant to have in the house, made good suggestions, and cleaned up any mess before leaving each day. Rob came in to check on the work periodically and I was always informed as to when they would be here. A shower door had to be a special order. Towards the end of the job, however, things fell apart. K & D Counters came to measure for the counters and Romano Tile had not removed some of the current counter tops as K & D requested. Rescheduling put the finish date back ten days. The plumber wasn't informed of the schedule change so made a futile trip out here. We ended up the day before Thanksgiving having the old counters pulled out, electric and plumbing disconnected, new counters installed (with a slight cut out error being corrected by grinding which overall made the kitchen look like it was not only was snowing outside, but inside, too!)) and the plumber here a couple of hours patiently waiting until he could hook up the plumbing. Because of the snow conditions and the late hour, the electrician cancelled out which left us without a stove and 12 people coming for dinner the next day! We survived and had a good Thanksgiving! We have yet to see the shower door and Romano has not returned any calls. I believe he ran into money problems and K&D Counters has not been paid by him.

After 5 months of communications to Romano trying to get the door frame repaired, we arranged to have the door replaced ourselves to stop potential damage from the leaking, and would continue to follow up with reimbursement from Romano Tile. The new door was to be installed today. The old door was removed, and under the old door is a crack in the new marble threshold that was installed by Romano. So on top of the broken door frame, the threshold was cracked when installed. I have never experienced a job with this much hassle, lack of professionalism and serious quality issues.

Awesome job. We've been struggling to get this done for months, and have had to fire two different contractors in the process. When we called Rob, he came out to look at it the next day, gave us a price, we wrote him a check for the deposit, and he promised to have his crew show up first thing on Monday. Here's where it got good... They actually showed up when they said they would! For 8 days, they showed up every day at 9am, paid incredible attention to detail, cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day, and did an awesome job. We were laying a slate floor, which can be tricky because the tiles can have different heights and uneven sides. Rob's crew didn't rush, but rather they spent the time every day to make sure that things were being done right. Next time we need tile work done, I'm calling Rob.

Rob is very knowledgeable and has a great staff working for him. The project couldn't have gone smoother from start to finish. Originally I was going to rip up the linoleum and sub-floor but Rob pointed out that it likely contained asbestos so I decided against that. Rob did not do the actual install, but was there each day to check on the progress and quality of the job. The install was done by someone from his staff, and he did exceptional work. He even noticed that one box of tile looked slightly different from the rest after he had already installed them and rather than just moving on he asked me if I saw the difference as well, and without me even asking he offered to remove them and use a different box, which he did. He obviously was concerned with the quality of his work and the outcome of the job and satisfaction of the customer. The job was done over two days, and at the end of each day everything was cleaned up and very neat. I would highly recommend Romano Tile Installations.

My husband and I were suffering from post traumatic stress following a very bad experience with a bad contractor who left a half done and just BAD tile job in the main bathroom of our home. We had a number of contractors look at the job and not want to touch it because of the and quot;obviousand quot; incompetence of the previous contractor. Rob Romano had enough experience and confidence to know that he could take the mess left by our previous contractor and provide us something that looked professional and well done. We knew going into this and quot;fix joband quot; that it was going to be a tall order to repair. It took us months to even deal with it because we were so upset by the last contractor (who put a mechanics lien on our property demanding payment! for his incompetent work!). We are so grateful to Rob for even taking on the challenge. He came in assessed the situation, made recommendations, did what he said he was going to do, executed the job with excellence, worked until the job was completed, and charged what he estimated. Really outstanding work that looks like a real professional job. We could not be more pleased with this contractor.

Rob Ramano provided a very reasonable quote and references for me. He also made suggestions on what tiles to use that would save some dollars on the project. Rob was very responsive, showed up on the job as committed and did outstanding work in our newly installed bathroom. We asked Rob to tile a small closet floor and touch up the grout on a tile job done by another contractor where we thought the work was mediocre. He did all of these things for a very reasonable fee. We are doing more work in our house and plan to use Ramano Tile again! Thanks guys. Pat and George

Rob is great to work with and has an excellent crew. He recommended some very inexpensive tile choices for the kitchen and shower that ended up looking beautiful, and installed very labor intensive bathroom flooring without changing his original quote. The workmanship was excellent, the entire job was turned around in less than a week, and the areas were left as clean as could be expected. Communication was great, they were careful about things like not letting the cats out, and willing to do extras like re-install toilets or trim doors to get the job completely finished. I didn't get any other bids but I feel his quote was fair and with the tile he suggested the entire project came in at a cost I was very happy with. I would definitely recommend Rob as well as use him again.

I loved everything, they were outstanding. They were on time, professional, clean. They are dependable and I would highly recommend them to friends and family.

Done very efficiently and professionally. I got competitive bids and was able to decrease their price some by negotiation. The tile is smoothly laid and good grout lines. They cleaned up after the job. Everything is working well so far (3 months later) and I am pleased with the job, with one exception. The floor warming system stops and doesn't include the 12" where you stand in front of the sink. I would have appreciated being consulted on this--perhaps I could have traded for cold tiles someplace else if square footage was an issue.

From coming over to evaluate our small project and giving us a quote, to finishing up the job, we were very pleased to have worked with Romano Tile. They were professional and thorough, setting up the tile cutter on our back deck, keeping the mess outside. The finished job came in at the budget we agreed upon. We were particularly pleased with the way Scott placed the tiles we chose. They were 12"x12" slate tiles, each one unique. He put them together in an attractive, cohesive pattern. We are very happy with the result.

Professional. On time. Neat. Talented...who could ask for anything more!
