They get an F because they charge you to fix their problems. You have to pay for service calls and it never worked because it was on their end. I changed companies, my computer that I spent hundreds of dollars on trying to get it fixed because I thought that was the problem yet it was a Comcast problem. They are sorry. They should not be in business and their people are rude. I changed companies and everything works. It was not my problem, it was their problem that they charged me $70 for. Actually I told them I was not paying it because it was their problem. So what I did was, I had them turn it off, I found someone else. The prices are ridiculous.

They have the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. The employees do know how to apologize for the wait and the problem, they just have no solutions to any problem. whatsoever.
Description of Work: Comcast is the worst at customer service. They do not honor their own Comcast guarantee. I had two missed appointments on the same day and because they did not keep honest records, they refused to pay one of the missed appointments. I have been battling with them since Aug 4 of this year on my service at my home. On 08/26/2015 I receive a modem thru UPS that I did not need since their repair guys were at my residence on Aug 5 to replace the modem. You can not even get a number to complain or a complaint resolution. I did try to submit one on line but the representative gave me an incorrect email address. The supervisor that finally gave back one 20 dollar credit, would not honor the second even thought I offered to give her the other 10 reps I had spoken with previously but she refused to even listen. If there are any other options in your area, Comcast is a real nightmare.

The internet service is fine, but I would never use them for TV services. They are just very expensive for a lot of stuff for your home tie that you do not necessarily use. If I did not have to use them, I would not, but it is a monopoly so I do not have any other choice.
Description of Work: I use Comcast for internet. I use them all the time.

They laid a temporary cable above ground and said another crew would be by in a few weeks to bury it. This was the last step in recovering our service from various signal 'upgrades' that started in March 2011. It started when I was without internet service for 4 days because of an increase in their carrier frequency in anticipation of faster service. But instead of faster service I ended up with no service. They canceled three service calls automatically because their techs kept on claiming the problem was resolved at the street. It wasn't and only when I cornered a service tech on the street and got him to come inside and test the signal did I they believe that the problem was with the line to my house. The tech was able to call for a cable crew that could replace the line from the street to a pole on the property. From there it goes another 100' underground to the house. That overhead cable replacement restored by internet service but not at the speed for which I was paying. The 2012 service request was when they switched to Xfinity service. My internet speed dropped to 300KB/s. This time they fixed within 24 hrs with the temporary cable. I work from home so both of these incidents were very disruptive. The first time I couldn't work at all from home and had to divide my time at the library/cafe and home waiting for service technicians that never showed up. While I have decent speed now (15 mb/s down, 5 mb/s up) it's much more expensive than what I paid in Phila for RCN's internet service. I don't have much choice here though since the Fairpoint can only offer speeds less than half for a bit less money.
Description of Work: Replaced an underground cable which was attenuating their new higher frequency Xfinity signal so much we had virtually no internet service.

Heard nothing...
Description of Work: Called to inquire about having internet activated in other locations throughout the house. Was told it was an unusual request. That she would have to "walk it through" because the computer wouldn't accept the request. It was also going to cost $!00 to activate the jacks. Told it would have been free when I first moved in, but now would be a charge for each jack. I agreed to the cost, but have heard nothing. Its almost August...

The guy was very professional. The biggest problem was getting Them to send someone out for free because the problem was on their end. Overall with comcast expect to be charged for things you never signed up for or asked for and When something goes wrong, expect to be on the phone forever trying to get things fixed or Having to call numerous times.

It was horrible from start to "finish!" I've spent probably 6-7 hours on the phone with these jerks who have been lying to me, and wasting my time, and the time of the 5 people they sent out to not do the job that was needed.
Description of Work: Beginning July 31, 2012 we began having really spotty internet coverage. I had called Comcast several times to ask about this, and I was told it was my computer's issue, not their problem, but the outage always fell during "rush hour." I kept a log of when we lost service, and when it just wasn't available. They sent a tech once, and he checked the wiring and installed a new modem, but that didn't fix the problem. They sent another guy, who came while we were working, and I don't know what he did, but nothing changed. Then, on August 23, 2012 a guy came and laid down a new cable on the ground, and left a note saying that someone should be by in the next few weeks to bury it. Apparently we didn't mow the lawn again last year, because I noticed in early April this year that the cable still wasn't buried. When I called to report this, the guy I spoke to told me that someone would be there within 48 hours to bury it. 3 weeks later, I noticed that it was STILL above ground! I called again, and was told that someone would be there the next morning(between 8am-noon). I asked to have that person call me, but nobody did. When I called to ask if it was done(I was at work), I was told that it was scheduled for the next day, same time. The guy came around 12:15PM - when he arrived, he informed us that he is not qualified to do underground work. At this point I am beyond angry. I called Comcast and told them to cancel all orders for me; that WE would bury the cable ourselves, and we would send tham a bill for our time. During this 9 months, I had called Fairpoint, TIme Warner Cable, and GWI to ask about services, and they all said they cannot service our area. Time Warner told me that our Town Office does not allow competitors. This is very unfair. So our choices are crappy cable, unreliable satellite, or no tv at all.

They have been punctual; they were here when they said they would be. I had a bundled service with them; cable TV, internet and phone. They were about to raise the price for my home phone and I have switched the home phone. Now I’m paying more than before for the two services. They are incredibly overpriced and I probably will switch to a satellite TV. The channels were not as good as Time Warner cable or the satellite. I have just signed up with them but I’m going to switch to satellite and I have no option. I’m just not happy with them because they have increased prices on their services.
