They scheduled within a month. They had to reschedule once, but it was an easy process. They came as expected. Cleaned and checked two chimneys and were efficient.

Everything went well.

I scheduled an appointment 1 month out and Chris never showed up. I called his answering service multiple times with the promise of a call back and never heard from him. His answering service then offered to schedule another cleaning...this time 2 months out. I decided not to waste my time again waiting around for him so went with someone else.

He was straightforward, careful, and an all round good guy.

Baker provided absolutely outstanding service every step of the way. I had already left voice mail messages with one or two other chimney services first, and they never even responded. Great way to run a business, eh? So I tried Baker Chimney, and lo and behold - a real live person answered the phone. She was friendly and efficient, and she set up a very specific one-hour time window a few days later when I could expect Chris to come by (not the typical half-day). Sure enough, about an hour before his expected arrival, Chris called to say he was just finishing up his prior job and was running a bit late - he apologized profusely. As it turned out, he was far more apologetic than he needed to be, because he arrived maybe all of 15 minutes late - no big deal at all. Mostly I was impressed that he called to keep me posted on his progress. Anyway, while Chris was doing his damage assessment his partner cleaned out our fireplace - very neat and meticulous. Chris checked out not only the chimney but also the foundation, the heating system venting, even the water lines entering the foundation. He was efficient, friendly, and thorough, and the fact that he was a fireman added to his credibility. Before he left he gave me a detailed written report, which included some valuable follow-up suggestions. All in all, very impressive service in every way.

They arrived on time, quickly got to work and had all stated work done before I had expected. I felt very comfortable with the assessment I was provided and felt they did a great job. The inspection and the cleaning were both done to professional standards.

Excellent experience. Highly professional and knowledgeable. Arrived at the scheduled time and brought all the necessary ladders and equipment to access my roof and clean the chimney. Provided a detailed written record that documented the condition of the woodstove and chimney.

He didn't overdo like some people do, they come and say you need X and Y, and then they wanna add Z, and then you are out a lot of money. That was very, very simple, very dependable and very nice. It was low cost.

The chimney sweep and inspections were done professionally and on time at the quoted cost. My questions were answered clearly and recommendations were made without any sales pitch. I plan on using them again.

It went extremely well. An appointment was made and they called the night before to remind us and not to have a fire in the fireplace. (Couldn't anyway as we could not open the damper). They came on time and did an excellent job of getting the damper open for us and cleaning and checking the chimney. Would have them back in a heart beat for anything to do with chimney's or fireplaces. Excellent service.

The job was done pretty well. Overall they were very professional and nice people. They knew what they were doing and I was satisfied with the quality of the work. They came when they said they would. They got it all done. Their price was competitive.

Called back chimney because oil service company said there was a flue problem. After inspecting the flue and finding no problem, he went into the crawl space and found a problem with the boiler venting duct which he advised me was dangerous. He called the service manager at the oil service company and also offered helpful advice about the flue and the boiler set-up which the oil company had failed to do. He must have spent a good part of half and hour on all this, but he would accept no payment.

No problems. Gave me an estimate and worked with 3rd party to coordinate with furnace work.

Chris Baker is also a firefighter. He was referred to me by a fellow firefighter. He really knows his business. He was honest and arrived promptly at our scheduled time. He charged $90 for the chimney inspection and cleaning and $175 to replace the chimney cap. He was very professional. I would certainly recommend him to others.
