The pricing was excellent. Much less than we had previously paid in Massachusetts. Initially he was not busy, and the wood was laid promptly and put down beautifully. He removed the floor moldings before he put the wood down, and the cut-in around the fireplace was beautiful. Then it took much longer than promised to put down the stain and polyurethane coat. The stain was not done properly and is uneven in a couple of places. He offered to correct it, after putting down 2 coats of poly over the stain, but we declined. If you contract with them, I would inspect after the stain is applied and make sure it dries sufficiently before the poly coats are applied. I would also offer an incentive to do the work on schedule. He says he is a third generation wood floor professional, but he needs to be more professional in running his company. He is a very nice guy though.
