Description of Work: This was an initial service call to estimate the cost of future work. Very unenthusiastic service person claiming no responsibility, was not able to give any kind of estimate and although asked to provide it, never followed up.

+ -1 moreWhen I called the office, a generic voicemail that didn't even identify the business answered. I had to call again to get any action. We were promised an appointment at a certain time, i had to call to find out that the tech was re-routed to an 'emergency' and would not arrive within the window. The vendor sent a tech that had ONLY the outdoor spigot repair/replacement on his work order. When he was told by my wife that this was a minor issue that we asked to be handled in the same service call, and the priority was the air in the lines, he was indignant and argumentative. When I arrived home to handle the situation, he was dismissive of my wife, and his attitude was sexist. His half-hearted diagnosis consisted of a lot of conjecture and very little work. My questions about water supply from our well were dismissed. The "fix" he recommended involved the small air vent in our whole-house water filter. He bypassed that fixture, tested the lines, and that seemed to make some difference, but did not eliminate the problem. He then replaced the outside spigot. That is working fine. We lived with this fix for 3 days - the situation has not resolved and is in fact worse. I have called the office to let them know this didn't fix anything. They stated they would "try" to get someone out to look at it. It has been 3 days, I have still not heard. We haven't recieved a bill. I have reached out to other vendors.
Description of Work: We have had air in our water lines for 3 weeks, we had a positive experience with this vendor earlier this year, and called them to diagnose the problem and fix. I made it clear that this was a priority. I also asked that when they came out, if they would repair/replace an outdoor spigot that was leaking.

+ -1 moreCalled another plumber and they had to come out... and because of the time of day it was I had to pay extra money for an emergency service....anyway, he got to our home and looked at our tank and said that it was the septic tank. And he didn't do septics..... we ended up having to fix everything ourselves. It was clogged where the filter is. We had to dig it out. And it has worked well since.
Description of Work: Our toliet began to back up into our tub, and the toliet wouldn't flush. We called Larrabees and they sent someone over. The tech snaked our drain and left. I went upstairs to use the bathroom and discovered he hadn't even turned the water back on. Then when I went to flush the toliet it happened all over again with the toliet flooding and the tub backing up with sewage. I called Larrabees back and it went to voicemail. I left a message and never heard anything back from them.

+ -1 moresee previous details in section "what did the provider do". when they came to try and fix the problems with the master bathroom toilet the plumber was very rude, hit the wall with his snaking device and didn't actually fix the problem. I called the office and asked that he never come to our house again.
Description of Work: problems with sewer pump malfunctioning and sewage backing up into washing machine. they did the original work when the house was renovated in 2009, we did not own the house then. not only was the sewer pipe to the street too small and had to be replaced which meant digging up driveway (asphalt) up the lawn to the street but the pump in the tank broke twice. we had raw sewage in our washing machine twice. also the toilets have never worked correctly, having issues flushing, running randomly and the toilet in the master bathroom freezes in the winter. the pipe is on an outside wall and was obviously not insulated properly. we can't do anything to fix this unless we rip up the floor. we have to use a hairdryer to thaw it. billed through contractor.
