Bert's Oil Service, Inc (repairman)

Bert's Exxon Service Center always comes on schedule. I never had to call them. They take care of my needs in relation to delivering heating oils.

The service man for the company quoted me a price before he , Mr. Trattier, came. He arrived, adjusted some internal components as I looked on, and replaced 2 items, one of which was functioning, the other, clearly not the problem. He did not try one possible source of the problem at a time, he just started replacing things which may or may not have needed replacing; so of course when he was through it functioned properly - and he was able to charge more. One item he replaced costs under $100 at all the related retail stores in the area while he charged me $140. He was at the house for 30 minutes or less. He charged me for 1 1/2 hours at $112.50 per hour. I was in his presence from the moment he arrived until he left and was aware of the time. I was very amiable and pleasant and cooperative while he was accusatory, rude and unpleasant, even when he took advantage of my assistance to hold something. I brought the problem up to the Company he was subcontracting for but all I got in response was the option to remove and replace and bring back the part that he put on which was not needed and they would take it off the bill.
