 + -1 moreI'm very happy with the work Chris, The Gravel Doctor, did repairing my driveway and putting down reclaimed asphalt. When he came do do my estimate, it was clear he knew what he was talking about, and after comparing his work and prices with a couple other estimates, he won the job hands down. It took his crew half a day to complete the job, and through the entire process, I found him to be very professional. He ended up having to use an additional load beyond the quote he gave me, but kept to the original estimated price. I've recommended his company to several of my friends, and would gladly recommend him to anyone who asks.
Description of Work: Repaired driveway and put down reclaimed asphalt.

Description of Work: after leaving a message on his phone to call back for an appointment/estimate he never even called back. furthermore we found out he doesn't even do asphalt driveways, which you recommend per phone call !

 + -1 moreThis gentleman was very professional and did an outstanding job repairing our driveway and very large pad area in front of our three car garage. He brought in a considerable amount of material to build up the driveway where it had a tendency to wash away. It will be 4 years this summer and we have had no complaints with the work he did and would definitely hire him again when and if needed. He explained the process clearly and completed the job as stated. I can't remember the cost but considering all that was involved we felt at the time that his pricing was very fair.
Description of Work: He "doctored" (repaired) our 300 ft driveway and also the very large pad in front of the 3 car garage. He also filled areas that had simply washed away over the years.

Description of Work: Our long driveway ( 93 feet, a turn, then 80 feet) was a mess after the winter. Gravel Dr. came and examined the drive, explain his process and gave an estimate. When we were ready to do this project he was efficient and professional. Our driveway looks great and I am confident it will plow well this winter. Highly recommend.

 + -1 moreHe was solo in the entire job and was punctual and pleasant. However, when I called to say that we were seeing weeds over the entire driveway and puddling from the rain, he suggested the use of a weed killer. He wouldn't add another layer of gravel that would have cured both concerns.
Description of Work: Dr Gravel resurfaced the muddy driveway into a nice looking asphalt/gravel one.

 + -1 moreIt went well. He brought in one load of gravel and dumped it where it was to be. No problems.
Description of Work: We had bought a small storage shed and my husband had made an area on a small slope of railroad ties and The Gravel Doctor brought in gravel to fill the area for the shed to actually sit on. Can't remember the exact price, but it was reasonable and on time delivery. He complimented my husband on his work and said he thought he should go into doing that for customers as so many of them need such an area for sheds, framing that is. That was in 2006 and all is well.

 + 1 moreThey arrived on time, cleaned up after themselves, and finished in 2 days, which I felt was necessary for such a large job. I would definitely use them again. BTW, reclaimed asphalt is a great surface for a rural driveway. It stays where put, unlike gravel, forming a semi-hard surface after a few weeks.
Description of Work: They excavated our 300 foot driveway (asphalt), placed the old asphalt where we had chosen to build a parking pad, as an alternative to disposing of it themselves, as they usually do. They then placed a culvert pipe (that we provided) under the middle of the driveway where we have a problem with water runoff in the spring, They then prepared and graded the surface, and applied reclaimed asphalt. They then rolled it.
