I went up there alone, in June, 2016, while my husband stayed in Georgia to pack and complete the sale of our home there. This agent only showed me homes on my list, and never determined our needs nor searched to find suitable homes. I made the biggest mistake of my life by picking a large home in the Dover-Foxcroft area. This agent knew I was making a big mistake but failed to tell me. She failed to point out flaws with the home and area. Failled to do a comparative market analysis. Failed to tell me there were too many homes for sale in that area and it would not be a good investment for us. Also allowed the sellers to leave the home in damaged an dirty condition. If she had properly informed us, we would NOT have bought that home. Once the sale was closed, it was too late. When we arrived in August, 2016, we were shocked at the condition of the home. Also, we found out that we grossly overpaid for a home in an undesirable location. We had to spend money fixing the home, sold it for a great loss. Overall, we lost $60,000, and being both over 65 years of age, we cannot make up that loss. The company, and broker offered us no help and was rude an nasty to us. We both became physically and emotionally ill. We went from being able to afford a $275,000 home to a $ 215,000 home. We live with this horrible memory every day of our lives.
