Bangor Laminate

We ordered a countertop through Home Depot and they use this local company so we had to deal with them for delivery, I was actually happy that it was made locally. It took three weeks for the laminate countertop to be completed which seemed a little long but not really a big deal. When it came time to deliver we found out they would only deliver on Friday which was inconvenient for us because we wanted it delivered Mon., Tues. or Wed. so my husband could be home. He wanted to be here so he could make sure the hole for the sink was cut in the right spot. My husband spoke to them on the phone and they said Friday was the only day they would deliver but they would set the countertop up on the cabinets so I could see that the hole was centered properly, so I reluctantly agreed to take the day off so we could get the countertop. When the driver arrived he wanted me to sign before he even removed it from the truck and I said I can't sign until I see that the hole is in the proper place. He informed me they only do curbside delivery and told his boss that I wanted him to install the countertop. I wanted him to put it on top of the cabinets like they said they would and I was willing to help if need be. He told me "my husband" would have to reschedule delivery and walked away while I was in mid sentence and left. I would have liked to have worked it out and accept delivery but I guess he didn't. I thought their service was terrible and the driver was openly rude to me. We never expected them to do anything they didn't say they would do and we certainly didn't expect an install. If they had informed us of these things upfront instead of just telling us what they thought we wanted to hear we could have saved ourselves a lot of aggravation and just had Home Depot deliver it in the first place. We were ready to cancel the whole order because of their unprofessional practices and bad attitude but Home Depot offered to handle delivery when we called to cancel. I still don't have a countertop and I will be sharing my experience with as many people as possible.
