Description of Work: The removed the damper from our stove and cleaned it. They came out because the flue got jammed closed and needed repair.

Description of Work: The price I paid was not the price I was quoted. I was overcharged and when I inquired about it, they agreed to let me use it as credit towards our chimney cleaning this year. When I tried to get in contact with them, they never returned any of my emails so I am guessing I'm out the overage I paid last year. The gentlemen who arrived to perform the service were very professional and polite which is disappointing as I would have certainly used this company for years to come. (The professionalism and punctuality rating are clearly for the employees -- not the company as a whole.)

+ 0 moreThe folks at Rocky's Stove Shoppe are friendly, informative and professional. They helped us choose an appropriate stove after we had narrowed the field of options to Jotul and Vermont Castings. We opted for the Jotul Castine after hearing some compelling reasons to do so. The stove was delivered at the scheduled time, and the installation crew was cheerful and professional. One small hiccup occured initally when we discovered that the stove's exhaust height was too tall for the existing hearth's thimble hole. A quick trip to the local hardware store for a couple bricks and some mortar alleviated this issue. The crew punched a new hole in the hearth, re-bricked the previous hole, cleaned the chimney, and installed the new stove without having to reschedule the installation. The work looks great and I'm very satisfied with the job that was done. The crew walked me through the initial setup and break-in of the stove, and answered all of my questions in detail. The installation took a little longer than expected (due to the need for a new thimble location at the hearth), but they stayed to ensure the job was done thoroughly and correctly.
Description of Work: I purchased a Jotul F400 Castine woodstove from Rocky's. They delivered the stove, cleaned the chimney, and perform the installation of the stove.

Description of Work: The crew was delayed by bad weather but called to inform me of the delay. Had all equipment necessary and cleaned up after themselves.Brushed chimney from above, vacumed stove and stove pipe and chimney clean out. I was concerned because they did not use fall protection gear. I will call then again next time.

+ -1 moreThey were fine. You might get a chimney fire if you don't clean out your chimney. We have used them for several years and have been happy with them.
Description of Work: Rocky's Stove Shoppe cleaned our chimney. They have someone who goes outside and they put something down the chimney to brush it out. Then they have someone who goes inside and clean it out from the bottom. We do it once a year because we have a wood stove and burn wood. We usually have them come in the Fall.
