They got off to a good start with the deck and benches, but then not so good. Corrugated polycarbonate roofing was not installed in accordance with manufacturers recommendations, although the directions were provided by us. Flashing was not properly installed, as well. The contractor agreed to replace the panels and flashing but all work and communication after that point became unprofessional. Special order trim boards had to be repeatedly ordered; framing errors were made causing more rework; decking was damaged with gouges, vinyl siding was left unattached and we were not kept informed of changes to work schedule. To add insult to injury, the contractor tried to treat the finishing of two risers and exposed stringers on a single step as a "change order". We refused to pay extra and waited another three weeks for trim board installation. Ultimately, a one week project was dragged out from July 20th to Sept 16th. Although we are mostly happy with our finished deck, we would not use this contractor again.
