"I had a disappointing interaction with someone who called me from (317) 803-4802 (Angie's) today. Despite informing them on the initial call that I would follow up once I finished my work commitment, they continued to call while I was on a 36 ft ladder as well as while I was engaged with a client. After answering and asking them to wait for a fourth time, the caller became agitated and sent a text message accusing me of being rude. In my opinion, the frequency and persistence of their calls makes them more comparable to spammer/scammers than a advertisement company in my opinion. I've heard multiple complaints from others for the same thing, which may indicate a decline in their reputation and services. This could explain why they were so insistent on reaching me repeatedly.

Horrible experience! I paid an extra $160 to have a TV mount installed, but the technician canceled just 10 minutes before the scheduled appointment and said they don't provide that kind of service. It’s now been two months, and I’m still trying to get my money back. Customer service has been unhelpful and continues to give me the runaround. Absolutely the worst company!

Angi recommended Unlicensed/Uninsured Contractor - Out $4k bc can't track down to sue - Angi matched me with vendor that took payment and disappeared without completing work. Turns out they are not licensed or insured and are untraceable, I am trying to sue but the vendor is not a real company to sue. I trusted they were vetted by Angi as an actual legally licensed and insured contractor but seems anyone can get approved by Angi. Angi offers no help and protects the identity of the scam vendor instead of aiding the customer, though the vendor disconnected their phone and won't answer Angi's calls either.

as a contractor, they are so terribly organized and full of fake spam leads that they wont credit you back for, very buggy app, it was a nightmare, never again.

Bernard Builders did an outstanding job on my kitchen! The quality of work was amazing and they really worked to maximize space. Hire Bernie for your kitchen renovation, you won't be disappointed!

Set up "large yard cleanup" online but the confirmation showed "lawn fertilization." Called customer service set up 2nd time "large yard cleanup" and recieved confirmation showing "small yard mowing and removal of leaves." Called customer service 3rd time and set up "large yard cleanup" and got a bid over the phone for 1/2 of what it should have been. I can't complain about the lower price but upon investigating, once again, they got the details wrong. When I tried to cancel, they were gojng to charge me $25 because it was inside of 24hrs. Other notes: customer service is a call centere out of the country, it's loud in the background and they have to repeat themselves several times. Call Center in the US wasn't much better. It took almost 5 seconds between everything I would say for the rep to hear me. Strange delay. Their recommended companies then tried to renegotiate the work. Frustrating.

I paid “That’s Wild” critter control company $165 for a consult fee which was to be applied to work done. I never received a quote and got one excuse after another telling me a quote would be coming sooner. I think they charge $165 consult fees and never do any work. Totally unprofessional. Do not hire this hustler.

I think...this is the worst company in history! My pro never showed up and I notified them and they still took my money! Now they saying I have to wait 3 to 4 d*** weeks to get my money back. Please!! Do not use this company for anything! Very sorry and not helpful! They really do not deserve a star!

On 1/6/24 they sent someone to hang my television and in the process, they damaged my floors and my fireplace. They requested that I get a quote for repairs and I sent that in after much communications took place and on 2/28/24 they said they had everything to process the claim. Today is 5/20/24 and now they're acting like they never received the information even though it was sent in multiple times. This is a shady company and I definitely wouldn't recommend them or use them again!

to start 3 projects, replacing a board on soffit, repair internal workings of toiliet and repair replace fence gate. Asked he if I had parts already - No, not sure what is needed and then he asked (from Angie's list) that I contact 3 repairman to complete these projects as he could not find a proper category for general handyman. Not paying 3 handyman when I can have 1 person handle it. What a waste of time. We are seniors and husband has a bad knee and can't do the repairs outselves.

I need a roofer now not next week about 3 or 4 contacted me but they cant come until next week or they dont call me back every time it rains the AZ terminal is damaging my dryway I'm frustrated

I own a heating and air conditioning company and someone gave me a fake review for my business. I called Angie's list and spoke with them and they said the company would reach out to the customer and review. I am sole proprietor and I do all my work so when the fake review came in I was confused. I have no recollection of the customer that reviewed and when I asked them to provide proof of my service they could not. Angie's list did not remove the review and my rating is a F because of that. I have 12 reviews, all but one are A's, reguardless my total rating is a F. Angie's list will not do anything about false reviews so I am reviewing Angie's list a big F.

Since January cannot get one return phone call. Nothing has been done. Not one ad placed.

Angie's list has led me to some of the best home service experiences. Thank You! We've had Windows, Roofing and plumbing recommendations from Angie's List and all have been great experiences.

I have to continue to pay for a subscription that new subscribers get for FREE. This is after several years of membership. I will not deal with a provider on Angies List again.

Only a few times and it wasn't worth it. I can find the same answer for free.

Plumbers came immediately and are very nice and great prices.

It has not gone well. The vendor first was going to show up to do the work and did not show up. Now after the holiday's I am unable to qualify for a refund because the 30 days has lapsed.

Angie's List consultant contacted within two hours of my submitted request. Was professional in all contacts. He demonstrated why I not only did not need a new heat exchange, but I also did not need a new furnace. When I offered to pay him and his technician for coming out, he declined to accept payment. I will be using this firm, thanks to Angie's List!

Sent a message to the asphalt company on Monday and didn't hear back by Friday. This service apparently doesn't require its service providers to respond within a few days, which is not what I am looking for in a referral service. I think I'll try Home Advisor!

Painters scheduled the job outside of the 30 day purchase window, never showed up and never called. I called angies list to get a refund Only to be told they can't give me one. They will however offer you a refund if you buy something else from there site. Angie's list is a good concept but it has turned into a very profitable business that has moved away from from focusing on finding quality companies to do business with. They want their money, any way they can get it, just like every other company. I fell for the silliness that they are on your side. Now I know better. My fault in the end.

Angie's List is a sham and totally screwed up
