+ -1 moreCustomer service is terrible. They act like they don't speak English. I repeatedly asked for a manager and never got one. I repeatedly ask them to put me back on rebooking after they canceled because they didn't have enough pros to put together my furniture. I never talked to a manager never got put back on to rebook. And since I wanted my money back I have to wait 3 to 5 weeks for a check in the mail. Being a nurse who works 3rd shift this is one of the biggest inconvenience. I will not book with them again. I told my co workers not to either!!!! Terrible

+ -1 moreAngi still serves junk. They said they changed the system they use to get leads so you should get a better quality of leads. Not the case you still cant get a hold of the leads in Wisconsin. I don't know if it is a regional thing but the leads are still junk, and they give very few credits. put that money toward advertising it will be better spent. the benefit is for Angi. Not for the contractor. STAY AWAY FROM ANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

+ -1 moreAngi sucks I bought a Bordiuk TV Stand for TVs up to 80" that comes with a fireplace I paid money through Wayfair for them to come out and put it together for me. I thought Wayfair had there own people but it turns out that Angi is doing coming out and putting it together for me. I got my Bordiuk TV Stand for TVs up to 80" with the fireplace on 3/10/25 and Angie was supposed to come out on 3/13/25 because they had no pro’s in my area I had to reschedule my appointment I have a new appointment on 3/15/25 and someone from Angie better show up.

+ -1 moreDO NOT USE ANGI'S! I hired a plumber through Angi’s, and it has been a nightmare. The plumber came, installed the fixture, and almost immediately, things started going wrong. I have been trying to get this resolved, but Angi’s so-called "customer service" is nothing but a runaround. They are completely unhelpful, making excuse after excuse instead of fixing the problem. I trusted this service to connect me with a professional, but instead, I got a disaster and no accountability. Save yourself the headache—find a reputable professional elsewhere!
Description of Work: The plumber installed a new toilet but didn’t do it properly because there was a leak that he tried to cover up with lots of glue. And now I was told by a “real plumber” that the toilet wasn’t installed correctly and because of that the toilet is running constantly which is causing my water bill to go up.

+ -1 moreI will never hear anyone from Angie list the last company I hired from Angie list that was Angie list approved Stole over 6 thousand dollars off me and had to chase down I filed paperwork at the magistrate office that he lied and never showed up to court now I have to take the next step to get my money back so I am letting everyone know do not hear anyone from Angie list and if you do don't believe Angie list do ur own homework Angie list got the balls to want me to star rate him wow really you turned me on to a company who stole 10 thousand dollars off me and Angie list has the ball wanting me to rate this theaf before I can post my comment
Description of Work: I was charged 10 thousand dollars to demo my house I lost in a fire 10 thousand dollars to demo home and demo two sheds and remove some stone the owner didn't know how to work the machine I was charged for days the machine sat in my yard not being used because they didn't show up to work took multiple days to demo two sheds and remove the debri and one of his buddy showed up in a pickup truck to remove the stone never finished removing the stone and never finished cleaning the land where the old house sat multiple lies was told by him I gave him a chance to make it right he never showed up I blew up his phone finally got a hold of him and he told me he was sorry for not showing up he had to run his son to the hospital while he is on the phone lieing to my on of his workers sent me pictures of a job they were doing while he telling me he at the hospital with his kid he refused to except the magistrate letter I had to pay a constable to serve him he hid from the constable and moved to a different place the judge favored me and I won but he never showed up to court now I have to file papers to start putting leans on his belongings I rather see him go to jail but I'm doing what the law is telling me to do and this scum bag told me he was fully insured I called his insurance company and they told me he was not interested to do what he is doing and refuses to pay

+ -1 more"I had a disappointing interaction with someone who called me from (317) 803-4802 (Angie's) today. Despite informing them on the initial call that I would follow up once I finished my work commitment, they continued to call while I was on a 36 ft ladder as well as while I was engaged with a client. After answering and asking them to wait for a fourth time, the caller became agitated and sent a text message accusing me of being rude. In my opinion, the frequency and persistence of their calls makes them more comparable to spammer/scammers than a advertisement company in my opinion. I've heard multiple complaints from others for the same thing, which may indicate a decline in their reputation and services. This could explain why they were so insistent on reaching me repeatedly.
Description of Work: They was trying to drag me into their sub-par advertising services. I chose plumbing as a job because that's about how enjoyable it is speaking to them rude and plain harassment.

+ -1 moreAngi recommended Unlicensed/Uninsured Contractor - Out $4k bc can't track down to sue - Angi matched me with vendor that took payment and disappeared without completing work. Turns out they are not licensed or insured and are untraceable, I am trying to sue but the vendor is not a real company to sue. I trusted they were vetted by Angi as an actual legally licensed and insured contractor but seems anyone can get approved by Angi. Angi offers no help and protects the identity of the scam vendor instead of aiding the customer, though the vendor disconnected their phone and won't answer Angi's calls either.
Description of Work: Hired unlicensed uninsured contractor posing as license/insured through Angi to clean and repoint brick. Now can't find "contractor" to sue. Angi won't help though says vetted them as a real contractor.

I paid an extra $160 to have a TV mount installed, but the technician canceled just 10 minutes before the scheduled appointment and said they don't provide that kind of service. It’s now been two months, and I’m still trying to get my money back. Customer service has been unhelpful and continues to give me the runaround. Absolutely the worst company!

+ -1 moreSet up "large yard cleanup" online but the confirmation showed "lawn fertilization." Called customer service set up 2nd time "large yard cleanup" and recieved confirmation showing "small yard mowing and removal of leaves." Called customer service 3rd time and set up "large yard cleanup" and got a bid over the phone for 1/2 of what it should have been. I can't complain about the lower price but upon investigating, once again, they got the details wrong. When I tried to cancel, they were gojng to charge me $25 because it was inside of 24hrs. Other notes: customer service is a call centere out of the country, it's loud in the background and they have to repeat themselves several times. Call Center in the US wasn't much better. It took almost 5 seconds between everything I would say for the rep to hear me. Strange delay. Their recommended companies then tried to renegotiate the work. Frustrating.
Description of Work: NOT Lawn Irrigation- not sure why that was the only choice. I had a 3000 sf yard that needed to be cleared and haul away of debris. Angie's List customer service couldn't get it right. And the companies they recommended started trying to renegotiate the work. Frustrrating

I never received a quote and got one excuse after another telling me a quote would be coming sooner. I think they charge $165 consult fees and never do any work. Totally unprofessional. Do not hire this hustler.

+ -1 moreOn 1/6/24 they sent someone to hang my television and in the process, they damaged my floors and my fireplace. They requested that I get a quote for repairs and I sent that in after much communications took place and on 2/28/24 they said they had everything to process the claim. Today is 5/20/24 and now they're acting like they never received the information even though it was sent in multiple times. This is a shady company and I definitely wouldn't recommend them or use them again!

+ -1 moreto start 3 projects, replacing a board on soffit, repair internal workings of toiliet and repair replace fence gate. Asked he if I had parts already - No, not sure what is needed and then he asked (from Angie's list) that I contact 3 repairman to complete these projects as he could not find a proper category for general handyman. Not paying 3 handyman when I can have 1 person handle it. What a waste of time. We are seniors and husband has a bad knee and can't do the repairs outselves.

I called Angie's list and spoke with them and they said the company would reach out to the customer and review. I am sole proprietor and I do all my work so when the fake review came in I was confused. I have no recollection of the customer that reviewed and when I asked them to provide proof of my service they could not. Angie's list did not remove the review and my rating is a F because of that. I have 12 reviews, all but one are A's, reguardless my total rating is a F. Angie's list will not do anything about false reviews so I am reviewing Angie's list a big F.
