TOTAL MAINTENANCE ROOFING

Poorly, and we had to spend 30,000 to have the entire roof replaced, including mold removal new plywood, insulation, etc.. The new roof, plus Richards nightmare cost us a total of $43,000. We are broke. New roofer was a life saver...

Richard Cybenko at the time was listed under Cybenko Roofing and Construction in the Yellow pages, under "Roofing." Richard showed up and seemed eager and ambitious on winning us over as cust. We agreed upon an amount. Richard, at first was timely, punctual and professional All materials, including the dumpster, were delivered on site, the next day. Work went well for almost two weeks, but was delayed constantly because of the winter weather. Richard began asking if he could use us as a reference. We initially agreed, and I spoke with the potential customer and told her that at the time, Richard was doing a good job. We told him that we would like to finish siding the back of the house, he said he would do so for 1500.00 labor. We agreed, and requested an addendum to the contract, he said he would provide us with that.. During the cold weather and this 'honeymoon' period, we welcomed them in from the cold offering lunch and coffee and the warmth of the woodstove which they accepted. Once the roof was stripped and exposed, Richard had days where he wouldn't show up, when he did it was for more money, he said to purchase more materials, pay his guys, and he would like to take his son to Disneyworld on vacation. The roof leaked one night during this experience, Richard showed up and appeared to be intoxicated, although we weren't quite sure. He did fix that leak. The daily debris cleanup promised in the contract was never done, and the debris remained as snowstorms came and buried it. Richards' last day here was spent on the roof with shingling it up, he left the debris all around the house. He left a piece of scaffolding nailed into the home. All efforts to contact him went unanswered. He has not refunded our 1500.00 Our last sighting of Richard involved a conversation requesting a refund of the 1500.00 and our disappointment at his incompetence, he promised to have his accountant mail the 1500.00. It never came. His inability to do the job appropriately has cause moisture problems in the new addition, the new roof is buckling. We have water leaks on the original house. Upon contacting his local ins. agent, they had heard of Richards' problems. He changes bus. names often, and according to Richard statement to the rep, has claimed bankruptcy under Cybenko construction. It will cost 49,000.00 to repair all the damage Richard has caused. Bottom line, He was fine until the roof was opened up, once that happened, he went into the fraudulent part of what he does. I don't believe that to be a conincidence.

I had a leaky roof, he (Richard) took my money and left me with a roof that leaked even worse! Plus he lied to me at least twice, saying he would be over this weekend to fix it; no show twice. As well as saying he could fix the dormer in the first place! Save yourself a headache, don't use this guy for anything!
