Dave came out and looked at my roof. He ended up telling me he couldn't fix it. He spent at least 45 minutes assessing the situation. He referred me to another highly rated company because of my copper. When I asked him how much I owed him, he told me "I didn't do anything so you owe me nothing". I'll be telling my neighbors about him for sure. Honest!

From the start they were very professional and responsive! They came out the same day to take a look and give me an estimate and then were able to do the work within 2 days -- and without me having to be there! Would definitely recommend and use again.

DWM Roofing is a great company to work with! Pete came out to do the estimate, did a great job explaining what they do and showing me the various options. There was no pressure at all to "sign today" or anything like that. They even have a list of 100+ homes around Maryland that they have replaced roofs on so you can go on a little tour to see their work and the various roof colors. I drove around to about 4 or 5 houses when trying to decide which color of black or grey to choose. It was so helpful to see it on a real roof! There was almost a week of rain, which offset their schedule (they just kept pushing everyone back, which I think it the proper way to handle that) - Their office was great about communicating when the work would be performed. Also, I was glad because they patched the hole we had, so the rain didn't cause further damage. On the day of the install they arrived early and worked hard all day. The roof looks great! I am so happy with everything.

Received three quotes, all of which came out about the same. Very punctual, efficient, and roof looks great. Team worked really well, and completed the job quickly. Owner, David, really takes pride in running a good honest business.

DWM was a great company to work with. We would highly recommend them. They gave us a clear estimate, answered all our questions, and had the work done and cleaned up in a single day. We couldn't ask for anything more. I have already recommended them to neighbors and certainly would again.

Our "breakfast room" extension leaked a second time, but worse this time. I knew I had one "soft" spot on the roof. I called DWM because they do roof repairs. Dave promptly came out to do an estimate. He showed me some problems with the original roof construction and presented a quote that evening to replace the entire flat roof section. Dave and crew showed up at the scheduled time and got to work. A number of plywood sheets had to be replaced due to leaks around the skylights and exposure to moisture from where the roof tied into the house's siding on the high side. DWM proceeded to put down a nice three-layer flat roof system, replaced the two skylights with curb mounted ones and a new vent cap. They tied it in nicely to the three adjacent sides and trimmed the rounded edge nicely. Dave went the extra mile to replace the cedar trim from the interior ceiling to the skylights which had to be extended due to the new curbs for the skylights. He located, picked up, cut, and mounted the new trim pieces. The new guttering was put on the following week. It's nicely mitered as it goes around the rounded roofline. It's attractive and doesn't leak - a big improvement over the old gutter. The crew was very professional and on-task the entire time. They cleaned up everything very nicely and went around the deck and yard with a nail magnet. It was a pleasure doing business with Dave.

They did an excellent job. They provided a lifetime warranty. The crew was fast, efficient, clean, and their were no problems whatsoever. They were very easy to work with. They had the most competitive price for the same quality of materials.

He's professional and knows his trade. He's punctual and has great pricing. There was no sales pitch. I give him A-pluses -- off the board. It was high quality work. They know what they're doing. That's all they do, day in and day out, is roofs. They use good products and they know what they're doing. They set the bar for every other company. They're very, very good.

These guys are the best!! They are my go-to guys for any roofing problem. They have done two repairs for me but came out two other times to check a leak (turns out the window needed caulking) and to help me out with a dangling shutter. With the latter, I had been trying to get two other contractors over and needed this shutter down before it hurt someone. Though this wasn't the kind of work they would normally do, they agreed to help me out. Before they got there, one of the other contractors had finally taken it down and DWM called, said it was down, and assured me that it was not a problem that they had made the trip. They shine compared to other contractors I've had to deal with. [Notice I said 'deal' and not 'work'.] As for today...water was leaking around the vent in my hallway bathroom. Making the appointment was easy and they were professional. I was give an 8-12 time period for them to show and David showed up around 9:30. He looked at the ceiling where the stain is and then went into the attic to check. He said that both upstairs vents were "showing sky". He then went on the roof and took pictures. He showed me the pictures and what a new piece looks like and gave me an estimate. I asked him to go ahead and he finished in no time. He brought me the pieces that were removed and showed me how with heat, etc. the rubber begins to crack. He said I was in good shape now and that the rest of the roof looked good and should probably last at least another 6 years (20 total). I will certainly be calling them, then.!

We researched vendors for this job for nearly a year. DWM was our first quotation and in the end the one we chose. Peter Miller was very patient with our questions, very responsive. Excellent harmonious crew. Worked fast and professionally. Couldn't believe how fast they completed the job including a new sun tube installation, replacement of exhaust fan and a cricket for the chimney. The owner/boss Peter was on the job working with the crew but he didn't need to do much supervision as the team seemed so experienced and worked well together. I wanted to tip the crew but they cleaned up and left so quickly I missed them!

My husband primarily dealt with them. I liked that they were another local group. They were good about checking every day to see when the work could be done which was delayed due to the snow. They were punctual and responsive. There was an issue with the roofing after repair and they had a quick response to this.

Based on the excellent reviews in Angie?s, DWM Roofing was at the top of my list and they were the first company I contacted to get an estimate for having my roof reshingled. Pete Miller arrived on time, inspected my roof, and gave me a written estimate before he left. I subsequently got two other estimates, and DWM was the low bid. They also offered a manufacturer?s upgrade to 50 years at no additional cost since they are CertainTeed Shingle Masters and as Pete explained to me their added cost to include this warranty is minimal (not so apparently for other companies who try and add several hundred for this upgrade, or tell you it?s not worth it). Pete also agreed to do some extra work at no added charge (closing the gable vents, venting a bathroom to the soffits, covering my entire porch in ice & water shield). And when I decided to include a second garage and a new addition, Pete priced the work based on the incremental labor and materials (about 35% lower than the cost / square for the main house). I particularly appreciated Pete?s straight-forward, no pressure approach. While the other bidders wanted at least a 2-hour sit-down to explain in minute detail how they install a roof and why they do it better, Pete waited for me to call him back and addressed specific issues and concerns I had. My number one concern was that I wanted a warranty that covered any leak in the roof over the next 10 years, and I wanted my roofer to take ownership of the problem. Pete assured me this would be the case and made some minor adjustments to the contract to cover what I perceived might be a gap in coverage between DWM?s and CertainTeed?s warranty. The day before work started, a truck arrived with the shingles and placed them on the roof using a crane. Workers arrived at 6:30 the next day (there?s a downside to everything (;-), and by 4pm they had ?raked? the area around the house for nails and blew the driveway clean and were heading home. Pretty impressive to me that they removed and re-installed 55 squares of shingles in one day, and the results look great. A few days after the roof was done, I discovered one of my corner lights had been broken. However, it was on the corner of the house where I had a new screen porch installed, so I couldn't say with any certainty which contractor caused the damage. When informed of the problem, Pete checked with his crew, but no one remembered seeing the broken light. Even though Pete wasn't sure who broke the light, he told me to get it repaired and send the bill to DWM. In the end the cost wasn't that bad and I elected to eat the costs, but Pete?s offer to cover the bill is another testament to the professionalism of this company! If you?re looking to have your roof replaced ? or any repair work ? I highly recommend you consider DWM Roofing.

DWM is exactly what one wants from a contractor. They were prompt and courteous; performing the work with quality and skill. They replaced the 20+ year old roof on the original portion of the house (we have a old rancher on which we added an addition). They moved us up in their schedule when they heard that the roof was leaking. They delivered all the roofing material the day before, started work at 7:30 the following day and were off the roof by late afternoon. They clean up was exceptional (found only one nail hidden in a sidewalk crack). I gave them a B for price only because they were slightly above other bids (once you did an "apples to apples" comparison). We chose DWM reagardless for the reasons stated above. I would certainly use them again.

DMW did a very nice job. The supervisor, Pete Miller, gave an accurate description and estimate of the work to be performed and answered all of my questions. On the date of performance, the supervisor and workers arrived on time and work was completed as described in the contract. Old shingles, nails, etc. were cleaned up and place was left in excellent condition. I would consider DMW for future work and would recommend DMW to friends.

In December2013 a tree limb pierced our garage roof all the way through the ceiling on a weekend. I consulted Angies's List and decided to contact by email DWM for a repair estimate. The owner responded the next morning and came to the house to look at the damage. He removed the limb and patched the roof until a permanent repair could be done. A return date was scheduled and his crew repaired the roof in a efficient and professional manner. Two months later in February 2014, during a snow storm another limb fell and pierced the garage roof again! I sent DWM another email and the owner once again came out and patched the roof. Since the patch was guaranteed for a year and the bad weather was suppose to hang around we decided to wait to have the repair done until March. A repair crew came out in March and once again did a great job. I found DWM easy to contract and work with both times I needed them. I highly recommend them and if I ever need roofing work again, they would be my first choice.

I spoke with David Morris a couple weeks ago about the repairs I needed to the shingles. We had a few snow storms since we originally spoke on the phone, but as soon as the weather cleared David came to the house and climbed up on the roof to give it a good inspection. I'm not sure of the exact age of my roof, but many of my neighbors have been getting theirs replaced. In addition to the price quote for the repairs, David also provided an estimate to replace all the shingles, and the price to have new gutters installed. I was impressed with how reasonable the prices were compared to other quotes I've received and the new roof included Certainteed lifetime guaranteed shingles. David told me that I could get a couple more years out of my existing roof, so there was no pressure to take the plunge right now. David also spent some time answering all my questions about roofing and how to ventilate the soffits since mine is older home that only has gable vents. I see a lot of new roofs going on in my area with new ridge vents on older homes with no soffit vents, which I believe limits their function and effectiveness. David offered a couple of suggestions to address this issue depending on my budget, and provided a brochure on a product he's used before. I called back after reviewing the estimates and deciding to just go with the repair work at this time. They had the repairs done before the end of the week. I went up on the roof myself this weekend to review the work and was quite happy with the qualtiy of work. My gutters were originally installed with nails which were pulling away from the roof, DWM installed additional screw-in hidden hangers between the existing nails so I won't have this problem again.

Amazingly, DWM was able to tear off old roof and replace all in a single day. (Most of my neighbors had their rooves being worked on for at least two days!) He was able to accomplish this with a large crew. Clean up was excellent; finished product top notch. Gutter replacement was done a few days later; again, a top notch job. David, the owner, is very customer-oriented and will go the extra mile for his customers. He is one of the most reilable, punctual, careful contractors I have ever come across! He is friendly, curteous, and diligent. Same goes for his crew.

They are reliable and professional… finished job in one day

I had several estimates for a roof replacement and gutters for my single family home. The DWM rep was very straightforward when discussing the work and provided a very competitive estimate. The work was done in a very professional manner and the results were exactly as advertised. The gentleman who does the gutter work for DWM is a real pro and does fantastic work. I highly recommend DWM for roofing and gutters.

David was very punctual and was out to my house the day after I placed a call for an estimate. He went up on the roof, inspected it, took pictures and showed me the damaged shingles. He explained that it was all cosemetic and not anything that would leak, it just looks bad. We had a birch tree that was up against the house and was rubbing the edges off the shingles on the edge of the roofline. One the tree was gone, it looked like someone was chewing the shingles up. He gave me an estimate on the spot. He also gave me an estimate to fix the gutter which was bent due to the tree. We called him back later in the day and just decided to do the shingle replacement. His office said he would be out within a week to do the job. He actually showed up the next day and fixed the shingles. Not only did he do a beautiful job, he also fixed the gutter free of charge! I would highly recommend David and his company for any roofing jobs!!

Came back in a couple of days and did a great job. He charged just what he estimated. I am very pleased. Wish I would have done sooner. I am always apprehensive when working with contractors. I first selected this company after visiting their booth at the Carroll County Home and Garden show in the spring of 2013. However, shingles were still in good shape, so I tucked away the info for later. After a long dry spell, the first strong rain in October produced a leak in my living room. Not a big leak, just droplets. DWM Roofing sent someone out as soon as possible (before the next rain), and a visit to the attic showed water damage that had been in the works for several years due to unsealed nails in the ridge vent. Dave took pictures and emailed them to me since I didn't want to climb into the attic. He also placed plastic bowls where water was dripping. The next day, Pete came and provided the estimate, also checking the bowls for water because of a heavy overnight/morning rain. I was presented with a professional brochure with many pages of references so I could check their workmanship and also see what the different shingle colors looked like. Pete also brought props to illustrate techniques used, and explained how they would be dealing with the rotted plywood. Note: DWM does not require a deposit, as do most contractors. The invoice comes in the mail after the work is done. The following Friday, shingles were delivered and strategically placed for easy access for the roofing crew. On Monday while I was at work, the installation took place, including the removal of gutter panels since Gutter Helmet couldn't make the roof install date. The roof looks great, and the gutter panels were neatly stacked. I haven't had a chance to walk around the yard yet, but it looks undisturbed thus far. I also had the opportunity to talk to Jill at the office. She was always pleasant, courteous, and professional; the whole team was a joy to work with.

A representative from the company came to our home, inspected the roof, went over all the options and choices available and got back to us the same day with the estimate. They were very professional and inspired trust from the beginning. We had received estimates from two other companies that were very high pressure, with "sleazy" tactics that made us feel very uncomfortable. DWM Construction employees showed up on time, got right to work, were very courteous and hard working, and finished in the time frame we were told. They cleaned up everything as promised. The roof looks fantastic. We highly recommend this company & would not hesitate to use them again.

DWM Roofing did a spectacular job on our new roof. The initial meeting and presentation at our home was thorough and professional. The sales representative went through various options and patiently explained the differences of each option as well as thoroughly described the entire process. It was truly remarkable that the team was able to complete the job in a single day. I left for work, came home and had a new roof. There were absolutely no debris left anywhere around the house. My sales rep called me mid-day to update me on progress. I cannot give a stronger recommendation to any prospective shopper. DWM crushed it!
