My husband and I are completely satisfied with the highly professional, polite and personable service we received from all “Cutting Edge Tree Experts” staff (office administrator Laura, job estimator Gary, and Joe and his very competent tree removal/pruning team). It was a particularly hot day (8/3/22) and the crew arrived promptly. it was mesmerizing to watch the guys carefully remove a huge, live Bradford pear and 3 dead trees, and also trim back branches of an oak tree overhanging our roof on. They took great care to ensure our property was not damaged, mulched all tree debris on site and removed it, and cleaned up everything beautifully. Before leaving, Joe made sure we were happy with all aspects of their work. Owner Chad and his son also stopped by while the team was working and checked that we were okay with everything. An EXCELLENT company! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Seriously, this DNR-licensed, experienced, extremely reasonably priced company will be our go-to tree service company from now on.

It went very well. They never spike the trees. They are careful with limbs cut from the trees so that they do no damage when they come down (usually via ropes and guides). They clean up all the limbs and sawdust. The are amazing to watch at work because they work carefully and safely.

The team of 5 or 6 men arrived in the morning at the scheduled time. They had several trucks and many pieces of equipment. They checked in with us to review the work we had requested. Their plan was correct - everything we wanted done was listed. We have two 20 year old trees: pin oak, sugar maple, and a 40+ year old wild cherry that was here before our houses were built. Cutting Edge did a fantastic job raising the three trees (removing all limbs below ~7 ft off the ground), removed dead limbs, shortening overly long limbs, and thinning out internal branches to reduce wind load. They also pulled out the four old border bushes, ground the stumps below the surface and filled in the holes with top soil. They also trimmed out a lot of dead bottom limbs from five bordering Leland cypress trees - those limbs were a real nuisance to anyone cutting our grass. The team cleaned up ALL debris and left our yard in excellent condition. Fours after they started they were done. We are impressed and have scheduled them to return and prune two crepe myrtles and a Nellie Stevens holly next February. We highly recommend Cutting Edge Tree service.

The crew a good job and showed up very quickly. The owner, Chad, would not honor my $100 mailer coupon, though when it came time to settle the last 50% of the total bill. He claimed it was because he waived a credit card fee, but there was no mention of that when I handed him the card for the first 50%, and told him I called him because I had the $100 mailer coupon. Too bad, I have a lot of trees on my property. Fortunately, there are lots of tree services.

First time I made an appointment, was for a Friday between 1-3pm. Had to call them after 3 pm, they said they had another appointment. Called me back after 4 pm, saying they would not be able to make it that day, had to leave work early for this appointment. Disappointed received no call to apologize.

They were wonderful. The cost was the most reasonable of the three estimates we got, the work was done in a professional manner and they even left us the good maple trunks for firewood and took away the soft pine as we requested. We will use them again for all our tree services.

The day after I contacted Cutting Edge I found a written estimate in my front door. I followed up and spoke with Gary to clarify some details. I was satisfied, and the price was within the range I expected. I was told the current expected time for the work would be 2-3 weeks depending on weather and it turned out to be just about 3 weeks. I was told a crew of about 7 would come out to do all the work at the same time and would take 4-5 hours. As promised a 7 person crew arrived at about 11:00 A.M. and were finished by about 3:00 P.M. In short, everything worked out as promised. All communication was answered promptly and satisfactorily. The crew did a very thorough job. I was particularly pleased with the trimming of the arbor vitae trees. They were overgrown and shaggy, and now look great. The crabapple got a long overdue pruning and should look great in the spring when it blooms. The maple tree was taken down quickly and safely with no damage to the yard or my deck. Just as importantly, the crew did a great cleanup job. They brought a large chipper with them and everything was run through it. I was totally pleased with this company and look forward to using them again in the future.

The initial estimate was high, but I was very impressed by the young man that came out and wanted Cutting Edge to do the work, so I called and explained what the competitors were pricing and asked what they could do. The owner stopped by a day or two later to take a look. He figured out a way to split up his teams (to make it more efficient), told me the debris would have to sit for a day (fine with me), and matched my best price. I think we were both happy. I was VERY pleased with all the work they did. It looks fantastic, they cleaned up after themselves well, and were very concerned that I be happy with the results.

It was all positive. They gave me a great deal because I went in with my neighbor. They got the work done efficiently and I got a good price for it.

Prompt, professional and friendly. Came out within 30 minutes of calling to assess the Bradford Pear in our front yard that lost a large limb. Provided a reasonable quote of $550 to remove the tree and grind the stump. The work will be done later this week, and I'll post a further review then. So far, Gary answered all our questions and made recommendations, along with on-the-spot quotes for all options.

A team of four people came out and it took them a day. They did a really good job.

They quoted me $500. I chose them because of their rating and in talking to the person who looked at the property; I felt he knew what he was talking about. He was professional, knowledgeable and he gave me a price right then and that was important to me. I think if it is a small business, they should be able to give me a quote right then. Everything is great with them. I will know obviously after they come out and do the tree removal but they are fantastic so far.

The large crew removed 15 trees in about 3 hours. They were professional, courteous and attentive to cleaning up meticulously. I have used the company before and will again for removals and tree trimming/topping.

The company representative arrived promptly and gave me an immediate estimate on the amount of work required when I explained to them how I wanted to oak tree to be pruned. I ended up not using this company because their estimate was a little higher than another provider I found on Angie's List.

The company did have to reschedule due to some emergency tree issues after a heavy storm, but it did communicate this in advance which I appreciated. Furthermore, it responded quickly with an estimate of the job's cost, worked efficiently, and did a really great job with the trees. In fact, some of my neighbors even commented on how efficiently the crew worked. All I'm waiting on now is for them to come back with their stump grinder and remove the leftover stumps. The company has done a good job of maintaining communication with me during this time, too.

This company was great to work with. Phone support was friendly, fast response and very efficient workers. They were careful and left my property clean. Excellent experience all the way around.

I sent an email on a Sunday afternoon and received a prompt phone call to schedule an estimator for the job. The estimate and signed contract were done the next day. Due to a busy spring, the job would be done in 4-5 weeks. The contractor arrived a month later as promised. The job was done quickly and professionally. I was impressed with the workers and their attention to detail. The tree location was in the corner of a 7' high privacy fence - the work was done with no damage to the fence.

The person was very professional on time and explained everything to me. He gave me the quote and told me if I had any further questions I could contact him. Very polite and professional. I ended up going with another tree company but I was very pleased with the service and level of professionalism.

Everything went smoothly. They worked efficiently and quickly and did a great job removing all debris, including additional yard waste I had lying around.

They called me back the same day and set up a time for an estimate. They came out and gave us a quick written estimate which turned out to be a few hundred less than previous estimates for a bit more work. We selected them and they scheduled the work very quickly (in between storms) and getting miss utility to mark lines. They came out the day they were scheduled and did the work we had asked for. They were very professional and cleaned up after they were done. We did have to remove mulch and wood chips from the trees they removed out front but we had discussed that prior and knew that we'd be responsible for that. It did snow a few more times that season so we didn't get to that right away, and when we did we noticed there were a few roots still in the ground. We contacted them again and they were again very professional and prompt about coming back out to grind down the roots. We were very happy to have them do the job and love keeping work local to the area.

Gary (I think that was his name, I forgot) came to my home to look at the trees I needed removed and gave me a quote. A few days after agreeing to the contract, their crew showed up to remove the trees. I was not home while they did their work, so I did not meet the crew personally, but their work was great. They removed the trees and just left a small pile of wood chips in their place. I thought their price was very reasonable for the amount of work.

They were amazingly fast. They did no damage to the yard with their equipment. They were in and out in one morning. When he set up the appt for the estimate he showed up on the appointed day and gave us an estimate for 5 trees and 8 stumps. We added another tree at the last minute and my husband renegotiated the price with them on the day they took down all of the trees. They were very flexible about it since we paid them in cash.

These guys did an outstanding job. Gary came by to provide the estimate and was great to work with. The estimate was VERY reasonable. I wasnt home when the work was done, but when I got home I could see that they trimmed the two trees, and the overhanging neighbors tree branches in my back yard, the way that I wanted. They also did a great job cleaning up because there really wasn't any indication that they had been there. Very happy with their work, will definitely use again.

Compared with 2 other estimates, Cutting Edge was about half the cost for more work. Gary did the estimate and was very knowledgeable about trees (at least it seems that way to my very unknowledgeable self). We had just moved in a few weeks prior and in casual conversation I had noted we were getting estimates on windows, a new furnace, and replacing the floors. He looked at all my landscaping, advised on what was mission critical for trimming now, what could wait, and even advised on how to prune/maintain my hydrangeas and rhododendrons. He also gave a lot of advice on which nurseries to go to for replacement trees, who might be willing to plant the tree for us for free, why some trees were near end of life because of improper planting, etc. He noted how much it would be for a more extensive pruning, but he also noted waiting until spring would be just fine. I was a little apprehensive with going w/Cutting Edge because the cost was so much less, but they didn't disappoint! When the crew came out, only the trimming/tree removal crew came first. Apparently the crew for grinding everything up follows a little after. There were maybe 5 guys climbing, trimming, and working quickly. They asked several times to inspect how far I wanted the trees cut back. The grinding crew arrived maybe 1 hour after the trimming crew was done. They cleaned up well and even removed some dread branches I had cut off other trees on our property at no additional cost. It was actually a decently sized pile, and I was very appreciative. The only reason I have quality a B is because I noticed 1 of the branches/limbs they cut from one of the pine trees was still up the tree. I didn't notice until 2 weeks later. The branch had a clean cut so we knew it didn't break off. We managed to get it down by pushing at it w/the stick of a rake. It isn't a huge deal since we have enough land to stick it in the back w/some other trees, and this wouldn't prevent us from using their services again.
