I selected Armour over other contractors bids for my basement remodel and I am very happy that chose them. During the bidding process they answered all of my questions quickly and thoroughly, their proposal was thorough and clear, and they were happy to discuss my ideas, thoughts and concerns. The crew that did the work was fantastic. Those guys are pros. The scope of work included all new framing and drywall (up to code, unlike before they came in), replacing that damn stucco ceiling with new drywall, upgrading the bathroom and kitchenette, new flooring, new basement door and replacing the ancient basement window, plus upgrades to the interior basement stairs and bathroom exhaust fans. Everything passed inspection and I am a happy customer. I would hire Armour again in a heartbeat. Many thanks to Rob, Christina, Rudolfo and everyone who worked on the project.

This is the second project for which I have used Armour Home Improvement, Inc. and they again did a great job, just like the first time. If you need remodeling done, call this company!

We ended up needing to cancel our contract because the scope of work was too large, and while we were fine with the company keeping a portion of our deposit, it has been over 5 months and we have not been refunded $5,000. We have contacted them numerous times via email and phone without any response.

These guys did a fantastic job. The kitchen remodel is beautiful. They were very professional and the price was reasonable. I would highly recommend them. Sometimes it was hard to connect via phone, but they were responsive by email. Excellent company!

I waited over 50 years for my dream bathroom and this group came through with flying colors. Working with Rob and Jose and Rodolpho was a pleasure. They were flexible, responsive, professional, the work and craftsmanship is outstanding they helped me get all the different things that I wanted. I am absolutely delighted with my beautiful new bathroom. I recommend them highly to anyone who is considering a remodeling project.

Armour Home Improvement did a wonderful job remodeling three bathrooms in our home. One needed total demolition: floor replacement (including replacing rotted joists), tub removal, new shower, toilet, vanity, sink and medicine cabinet plus new floor and wall tile and painting. They also replaced insulation in the crawl space under that bathroom. A second bathroom needed tub re-glazing, new toilet, sink and vanity, towel racks and grab bar, tile and paint. The third just needed a new shower enclosure, tile and plumbing, 2 grab bars plus wall and ceiling paint. The craftsmanship was excellent and they worked around our erratic summer schedule. They made helpful recommendations regarding paint and tile types and colors. They were also good about cleaning up each day and removing construction debris. When an issue with a subcontractor arose, they responded quickly and called in a replacement company to fix a relatively small problem with a new shower door. Always friendly and courteous, I would recommend Armour. In fact, they'll be replacing the crawl space cellar door.

I would not hire him again if he paid me.

Beware! Armour Home Improvement is the WORST contractor that I have ever ever experienced in my whole life!! They are the WORST among the WORST. Keep away from them! The guy Rob is a totally arrogant and ignorant guy, who would never ever answer your phone or text messages while one time I used another phone number and found him sitting in the office. And, the WORST customer service! The woman who was in the office either did not answer the phone or tried to ignore you. It ended up we could only use email to communicate with each other. In addition, they lied to me a couple of times, making excuses, saying that the worker got sick but actually I found out it was a lie, I have the evidence. In sum, they are arrogant and ignorant! BEWARE!!! KEEP AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST! I would give a "zero", not even a 0.5!

I would not recommend this contractor to anyone. He did not start on time despite fine weather and when we cancelled the contract because of his delay he would not return our whole deposit. We had a horrible experience with him and, in my opinion, he does not care about satisfying his customers.

My wife wrote the following review. Rob Stouffer came to my home and immediately knew how to best use the space that I wanted to renovate. We took down a wall and added a hallway to expand the bathroom. We also took down another wall and combined two closets into a beautiful walk in closet. He redid the hall bath as well. The workers were very professional and we came to know them over the time they were in my home. We had a lock box and they came when they needed to work while we were away. All permits were pulled. Rob supplied everything for the reconstruction process. He told me I only needed to buy the pretty things. With Rob's help I did not need to hire a designer. He gave me all of the measurements so that I could pick out the correct amount of tile etc. I told Rob it has been life changing. His wife is very sweet and helpful. Rob did everything in his power to achieve every thing that I envisioned. The end result is stunning.

Armour Home Improvement turned our flood-destroyed house back into a fully repaired home. Extensive damages required multiple tradesmen: dry wall, molding, duct work, carpets, hardwood floors, plumbing, etc. The work was done professionally, the workers were respectful and efficient, and all final details were wrapped up quickly. Thank you everyone at Armour!!

I found Armour through Home Advisor three weeks before my cabinets arrived-after my original contracyor backed out. We have a 10'x13' galley kitchen and Rob and his crew from start to finish completed a complete demo and complete renovation in 2 weeks and 3 days. We kept the same footprint. Another contractor quoted it at 5-6 weeks. I had purchased all floor and wall tile, ordered the cabinets, range hood, under cabinet lights, pendants and appliances. Rob reviewed the delivery of cabinets for damage when they arrived (all was good); encouraged me to buy the countertop through a purveyor he knew (with a 2-day turnaround!!) and Rob's original quote was 45% less than one contractor and 33% less than another contractor. Rob and Christina Stouffer brought the A team for demo, carpentry and tile installation. The standard of work was high. Any single day 2-4 workmen were busy on the job. No one slacked off. In addition, they opened the wall to our living/dining room, removed grasscloth wall paper (from 1975) and plastered, sanded and primed the 10'x14' wall. Any project we have in the future will go to Armour. I've already recommended two other homeowners to them. This company is fair and honest and hires good men.

Three contractors responded to my inquiry on Home Advisor, but only one came to the home two days later to examine the kitchen. Within a few days, Rob Stouffer sent us a line-item estimate for the remodel. Another contractor sent an estimate, but did not breakdown individual labor costs, and their estimate was higher than Armour. I asked the second company to send a line item estimate but they did not respond. I designed the kitchen and made all major purchases, porcelain flooring, new range, range hood, under cabinet lights, sink, faucet, etc. So my job was "labor only". However, Armour was ready to fit me into their schedule-which I deeply appreciated. My cabinets were scheduled to be delivered from Minnesota on April 25. By the first week in March, we signed a contract with Rob for a 2.5 weeks remodel once the cabinets arrived. (A different contractor said it would take 5-6 weeks.) From the start, every interaction, and every employee was very professional. At any one time, there were 2-4 workmen performing their jobs. I don't think the men took lunch. They worked straight through, and were organized and at the end of every day cleaned up after themselves. Rob came by every morning to assess the progress and give orders concerning the sequence of work. They collected the demolished materials and cartons regularly, as well. Mr. Stouffer selects quality employees and handles project management exceptionally well. His skilled employees work hard. His company will be the one we call for any future work on our mid-Century single family home. As a professional, and a visual artist, my aesthetic is pretty high. But, I quickly realized Mr. Stouffer exerts tight quality control over his projects... He finished our remodel on time and on budget. I LOVE my new kitchen, and will post photos of it on HOUZZ.
