AG Construction & Flooring

The owner, Aaron, came out within a few days to look at the job. We wanted the 28 year old oak floor in the hallway sanded and refinished. At an agreed upon date Aaron came back with two technicians to do the job. The area to be sanded was isolated with plastic sheets. They took about 5-6 hours to do the job that included sanding, staining, sealing, and two coats of water based polyurethane coating. We were told not to walk on it for five hours, and then only in socks until the next morning. It is beautiful. Where sanding area met an area not to be sanded they blended it as good as they could. We probably will do the second area within a year as the new looks so much better. There is some oder when the stain and sealer are applied for a couple hours. After that the top coats had minimal oder. They also kept most of the dust confined to the work area.

We ended up with a spectacular result for our wood floor. It looks better than it did new and is so beautiful that we immediately sent pictures to our friends and family, recommending Aaron to them. The team he sent was highly experienced. Aaron is a true professional, extremely responsive and a pleasure to work with. He quickly communicates by text or phone. Aaron stands by his work. His pride in his work became especially evident because they had to do this twice. They unfortunately initially used a product which turned out to be defective. Without us even having to ask, Aaron completely redid the job at no cost to us. His crew came, carefully removed furniture, sanded and refinished the floor to its present state, with very little down time. We are very pleased with the floor and would certainly use Aaron again. We highly recommend him and his team to anyone who needs refinishing.

They absoutley did an amazing job on the wood floors. The match was much better then expalned to me. Their manager was awesome to work with. He will let you know exactly what he will do for you. I was impressed how quickly he returned phone calls. The 2 guys who sanded were profession, cooperative, quick amnd polite. I would have them back in my home at anytime. The only problem I have is with Angielist's Policies. I paid $249 to Angie's list. I expected my rate would be the quoted price of $910 less $249. My cost of the job should be $661.00. I was told by the contractor that DEAL FEE of $249 did not go to him and that it all went to Angie's List. The only one who got a deal was Angie's List. I don't think the DEAL Details was very clear.

They came out and informed me that the steps were not included in the deal and the cost would be three times the cost of the deal. I then told them to do the hallway which was included and they told me the stain wouldn't match if I did that, so I felt pressured to pay the extra to do both. I did not have them come back to do the work.

I could not be more impressed with Aaron Goodman of AG Construction. I learned of him on Angie?s List and expressed interest in a deal being offered on-line. Her promptly called me and soon came to visit my home to see what I wanted done. My wife and were so impressed by his knowledge of 60 year old oak flooring that we hired his firm with looking further. Other vendors had offer us so-called deals but AG Construction?s claim to fame is providing (very quickly) a well written/detailed/professional proposal. Other vendors simply quoted me a price or scribbled some numbers on a piece of paper. On the actual work day he arrived EXACTLY on time and spelled out (to me) the refinishing process his team would do . The team did exactly as promised, cleaned up well and Aaron Goodman did a walk through to confirm HE was satisfied with the work. He found one out-of site hole that needed some work and jumped on that (fixed it) within 90 seconds. Aaron Goodman and AG Construction already have my vote for the rest of the house!!!!

I contacted 4 companies, including Aaron, the owner at AG construction. Aaron showed up early the day of the estimate, gave a thorough explanation of the work that would be done and then provided an emailed quote that consisted of exactly what we had discussed. He came in lower than everyone else, but I also trusted the level of service and craftsmanship of the job to be done, therefore we went with him. The day of the job Aaron showed up early and his crew was promptly on time at 8am. Aaron introduced me to his crew and then explained to me exactly what to expect with the workload and also completion time frame. The guys sanded, stained and also applied two coats of Bona water based poly and were done around 4:30pm. The following day, after I was able to walk on the floors and thoroughly evaluate the work that had been done I was overall pleased, but did notice a few areas that could have used additional touch ups. Therefore I contacted Aaron regarding my requests and he got back to me within minutes. He sincerely apologized and assured me that he would address my concerns. Two days later his lead guy, John came back and agreed that there were some areas that needed additional buffing and poly. The guys took care of everything and the floors look fantastic. Aaron was committed to making sure that my wife and I were pleased with the job and that speaks volumes to his pride and level of serve that his company provides. We plan on using AG again in the future for two of our rental homes.

They did an ok job, floors looked good but i had hoped some of the damaged areas (100 year old floors) would have been better masked or repaired. They said they put putty in the gaps to help fill it but it came out when they sanded. Overall an ok job but not great.

Aaron was very responsive from the estimate to the completion of the job. He let me know that he'd be using a quick-drying water-based finish so we'd be able to get back in to the house that evening without the fumes you'd get from an oil-based finish. That is what sold me. Also, they were very prompt and cleaned everything up nicely. I did not find any dust to speak of, and we were able to walk on the floors that night (in socks) and sleep in our own bedrooms. It was a pleasure doing business with this company.

Everything was great from the estimate to the work itself. Aaron was up front about the price for additional square footage, showed up on time and got the job done clean and fast. From start to finish I was impressed, and I love our new floors!

I recently called AG construction to refinish my wood floors in my living/dining area. I spoke with Aaron Goodman and he came out the next day to do measurements so he could give an estimate. I would like to say that Aaron was very nice and funny too. If I'm not mistaken he sent me an email with the estimate the same day if not the next and the price was very affordable, so I decided to move forward with his services. Aaron was punctual and ready to move things forward. A few days later he was here with his employees ready to work. He was very informative about the process and the overall layout of how things were going to go and if I might add his employees were also nice. Once the floors were done I was so shocked, but happy because it looked beyond amazing. I loved the job so much that I'm getting my steps and hallway done too, really soon. I highly recommend this company if you want your wood floors done. I would like to reiterate that their fast, nice, affordable, and overall awesome!! Thanks so much for the wonderful floors!!

He came out to my home and arrived 1/2 hour early. He started doing the measuring and sent me the total via email and I looked at the figures and went out and measured the same area. He stated there was 330 sf and I measured 113 sf. He also stated when I spoke with him that it would cost $250.00 additional for the sealant, which was supposed to be included in the deal. I decided to not go through with this offer and contacted Angie's List for my full refund. I felt like he was trying to up sell me.

Arron was very helping talking me through the process. Everything happened in the timeline he promised and the floors came out great. Then after there was a little dirt that got on the polyurethane, Arron came back out buffed it out and put another coat of poly on the floors, at no extra cost. Everything came out really well and at a great price.

Everything went extremely well. Aaron's responsiveness was very impressive and he made everything from the estimate to actually getting the work done so easy. The finished product was way better than I imagined based on the condition of the floor when I bought the house. I will definitely be using them again for any future hardwood projects.

It turned out really well. They got in and finished it all in one day, I thought it was great. They were responsive and quick.

The floors look amazing and we couldn't be happier. I am a real estate agent and would gladly (and have) recommend AG Construction to my friends and clients.

Initially contacted as a result of an proposed Angie's Lits deal, Aaron (owner and operator) explained that the offer didn't apply to stairs due to the large amount of hand work required. He then visited the job site and provided a written quote for the needed work, within a day. Aaron was on site a few minutes early, followed quickly by his crew who set to work promptly. They hung tarps to keep the dust under control, removed old runners, and rapidly sanded the wood, then applied a coat of sealer and two coats of water-based finish. Overall, the crew was efficient and did a good job - even including clearing some slush and ice on the front porch to simplify their coming and going. The new finish looks great, and I was very pleased with the work.

They were right on time to begin the job and finished in about four hours. They were very professional and did an excellent job. They put up plastic sheeting to help minimize the dust created by the sanding. The floor looks like new. We are very pleased with the results.

I purchased the Big Deal to have my foyer refinished. Aaron contacted me immediately and made plans to come out and see my floor. He did, was on time and very polite. He then sent me an estimate that was for $350. My foyer area is only 8X6 or so. I totally understand the additional costs but this is out of my budget. My job basically is too small to not cost a lot. The coupon was for up to 200 square feet which I don't have for him to do.

I did not realize that it is not possible to only refinish one room - I would have to clear out the entire second floor and I just can't do that right now.

I purchased the deal and then decided to go a different way with the project. He offered to hold the deal for me, but I wasn't sure when I would be able to do the work.

Aaron was very personable, responsive, and professional. He returned my call within a day and was able to schedule the work within a week. Two other companies declined the work because the job wasn't big enough. Aaron's crew arrived a bit early, and Aaron called to ensure that it was ok for them to start (I was thrilled that they were there early). They were able to complete the job within 3 hours, and Aaron arrived to inspect their work before they left. The floor looks great, and the experience of dealing with Aaron was a pleasure. I definitely recommend AG construction, LLC and would not hesitate to use them again.

They did a great job! I think the price was reasonable and I was satisfied with the quality of their work. They were in and out in a day and everything looks great! This was the first time I had used them, and I would use them again in the future as well as recommend them.

The owner, Aaron, was great to work with. He understood what we were looking for and planned accordingly. The project was completed well within the timeframe agreed upon and the work was exceptional. The cost of the project was exactly as promised. Arron kept us updated on the progress of the project. I would definitely use this construction firm again.
