Aaron and his crew did a superb job. He showed up with the crew on time the first day of a two-day job, kept me up-to-date on the workers progress throughout, and followed up the day after to check on the overall quality of the work. The crew worked very hard, and the final product was probably about as good as it gets. No delay, no cost over-runs. A.G. Construction specializes in hardwood floors--they have my highest recommendation, and I would use their service again without hesitation.

Excellent job. The restoration exceeded my expectations. They were profession and finished promptly. Things dried as they predicted. All went well. I did email after the job was completed and asked a question about using wax on the floors but never got a response. So I changed my B rating on responsiveness. When I wrote the above review, I got a phone call almost right away. They did not get my email and asked if I would call them back so that they could answer my question. I forgot to do so and they called again. That's pretty responsive. They answered my question and were very gracious. Bottom line, I never expected any one would be able to restore my floors as well as they did. They are beautiful. Questions are answered. All is well.

Aaron Goodman of AG construction did a fantastic job on the hardwood floors of my first floor. He was responsive from the start, prices were beyond reasonable, and the work was outstanding. My floors look brand new, as he promised! His crew did a great job, came on time each day, and left the place clean. He is also really personable which made the whole process comfortable and communication was seamless. Great job!!!

Aaron Goodman, the owner, provided top-rate customer service from start to finish. He visited the same day that I phoned him to set up an estimate and spent time discussing the process and options. I received the completed estimate via email that evening. Over the following week, Aaron promptly responded to my requests for adjustments to the estimate and patiently answered our questions about oil- versus water-based polyurethane, providing pictures of his past projects. I was impressed that he responded to my emails within hours (or less!), when I am used to waiting days to hear back from contractors. We received estimates from four companies. Aaron's estimate was the lowest, although the second place company was very close. In addition, his measurements of the rooms were spot on. Other companies seemed to "round up." Once we made our decision, we were able to schedule our refinishing about 10 days later. Aaron's crews were polite, courteous and hardworking. They spent time in the beginning to hang plastic over all doorways, openings and built-ins, really minimizing the dust in the rest of the house. Clean up was completed at the end of every work day. The project spanned over three days. Aaron stopped by at the beginning, the end and checked in several times in between. He promptly addressed a question which we had after the first day via email in the evening. Our new hardwood floors look beautiful. We decided to use a water-based sealer and poly, since we were staying in the house during the refinishing. This project was definitely worth doing and had a huge impact on our rooms. The dust and mess were not nearly as bad as I expected. I would use AG Construction again for others floors in my home and have already recommended them to my neighbor.

Aaron Goodman and his crew did an excellent job all around. His prices are extremely reasonable compared to the other 3 companies we got estimates from. The results are beautiful -- we love our 'new' floors! A few points that really impressed me were: --They remove the old carpeting and padding at no charge. Some companies charge for this. We had a lot of old carpet to cut up and pull out. --Aaron patiently answered my questions via email before the job; Very responsive. --We had hardwood (oak) under the carpeting and he told me (tactfully) that it was not especially good quality wood. But after they sanded and refinished (with polyurethane, no stain) the natural wood floors look gorgeous! They are super smooth and walking in bare feet feels really nice! --At first after they finished, the natural wood color was not what I expected, but I still liked it. Interestingly, the color darkened as time passed and eventually (after about 10 days) it became exactly the color Aaron had predicted (based on the color of the wood floors inside the closets). --They also did a great job installing the vinyl flooring in our family room. Aaron told me what I needed to know to purchase the flooring, and they did the labor. Very reasonable price - about $430 labor for a big room (300 sq feet). The flooring cost us about $850 so the total cost was about $1280. We got estimates from other companies to do that room for anywhere from $2400 up to $4000! We also noticed that several companies were really pushing a product on us (laminate) which would not have suited this room at all because the floor gets wet; it's kind-of like a mud room because we take our dog in an out through that room; the dog was also using the room as a potty at that time. Aaron was honest about which products would make sense for that room. I felt that other companies were trying to meet a quota for selling laminate or get rid of a material even though it wasn't right for us. (Laminate would warp if it gets wet). The crew was also really nice and personable. We will definitely use AG Construction again to do the rest of our floors!

From the telephone call to the completion of the project, it was clear that Mr. Goodman and his crew were experts at their trade and cared about the finished work product. Great communication and top notch refinishing skills. Beautiful hardwood floors! We held an open house and received great feedback from all who saw the floors. AG construction did a beautiful job of refinishing my old, scarred pine floors! I plan on using them again to do more of the house. They were a pleasure to work with and left my house perfectly clean and looking better than ever and beyond my hopes.

When we ripped out the carpet in our recently purchased rowhouse we found some "supprises": no hardwood in the extension of the house, some concrete from an old bathroom, AC vents cut out without support. In addition to that we had a pretty tight schedule because we wanted the floors to be done prior to moving in. This is where Aaron and his crew came in. They did an amazing job on restoring the existing hard pine floors, installing new floor where necessary and fixing all issues such as holes, loose planks etc.. The floors just look great now! They finished the project on time without any hickups and on top of that, Aaron got us a great deal on the material (hard pine is expensive) which made the price significantly lower than other estimates we had. Overall, we couldn't be happier!

AG had a tough job, as the floor had a number of deep gauges and other damage. They did the job exactly when they said, and we were very impressed with the result. No complaints; we use them again.

On a tight timeline with other work dependent on reliable timing, Aaron and his crew did a wonderful job from start to finish. Aaron is extremely knowledgeable and provided useful suggestions related to material, approach, and finishes. I priced out several flooring professionals and got the best price from Aaron. Rarely do you get the best price, best service, and the best finished product- AG did just that and came through big time! As a DC real estate agent I'm always looking for quality tradesman to refer to my clients. I've already referred AG and will continue.

Mr. Goodman and team came on time, and were very professional. A little hesitate about the cost but decided to go ahead since our library wood floor had different shades of color. After coming back several hours later I was very impressed with the workmanship, the floor looked as though it was new. Perhaps my misunderstanding but I had to pay for the polyurethane which not was included in the Angie's List deal. Overall I would use his service again, floor looks impressive.

To give some background, I had contacted another contractor to refinish my existing hardwood floors. The contractor came and gave me an estimate which I agreed to. He brought with him a pamphlet of sample color stains. I choose a color that I liked from his pamphlet, we discussed the details, set a date, and he left. For the work to be completed, I had to leave my home for 2 days. Upon my return, I could immediately tell that something had gone horribly wrong. Upon investigation, I discovered that the contractor used solid color exterior weather proofing deck paint to refinish and stain my hardwook floors! The cherry on top was that he put a coat of polyurethane to so my interior wood floors looked like a shiny outside deck! On the contractors attempt to remove the wrong stain, deep scratches were put into the existing floors. He was immediatley fired of course and a court case is pending! In came Aaron Goodman to the rescue. From the beginning, Mr. Goodman was professional, curteous, and prompt. He offered a good price estimate and assured me that he would try his best to restore my floors. Not only did he fulfill his promise, he surpassed it as my floors now look more beautiful than I could have ever imagined!!!! I am super thrilled and in love with my refurbished floors. After all of the stress of having them ruined it was nice to finally see the rainbow after the storm. I HIGHLY recommend AG Construction for any future projects!

I got AG construction's reference from angie's list and thought of using their services. He came one day measured all wooden floor gave me the best deal he could. Next week he sent couple of people for sanding and polishing wooden floor. It took them 1 day morning 9 to 6 to finish around 400 sq feet of living space. They did a really good job. I met Aaron around noon that day and he explained what all things are done, how they do that and what was pending. Overall I would give them A+ on their work. Also Aaron is honest tells everything what you need to know. I have recommended his name to several friends.

It went very well. They did a good job. When I had a complaint, they took care of it right away. They did have to come back. When they came back, they fixed it. They came back without any problem. There was never any argument.

Project was completed on scheduled time. Very professional in all aspects, including answering all our questions.

From start to finish this was a positive experience, Aaron was personable and professional. The job performed was excellent, so much so we are now painting the walls to match how good the floors look. Thanks for a positive experience. To have someone say they are going to show up at a certain time and then do it, has unfortunately become a rarity, not with AG Construction. We are now planning on having the carpet in the bedrooms removed and have those hardwood floors redone at a later date.
