AG Construction & Flooring

We'll have to hire another company to come and redo the work. We wanted the refinish job to match our existing hardwood floors -- a red oak stain with semigloss finish. What we got was natural (transparent) finish with what looks to us a matte finish. (See difference in picture.) Not only does it not match at all what the rest of our floors look like (and we have an open floor plan), it is not what we would want the rest to look like when we redo them all. (The 2 crew members who did the actual work were fine and were apparently just following AG instructions to do the work.) What we heard AG to say when we made the contract was that he will try their best to match our old finish. Now AG says that he told us the new finish can never look anything like the old one. He also says that they will not do any staining and that the finish they used is semigloss. We could understand -- and expect -- gradual color and finish differences, but not that they would not even try to match the stain or gloss and just settling for a thin transparent finish? While the amount of money lost on this job is not a huge loss, it is the awful stink of refinishing in the entire house that we'll have to endure again for days -- and with having to do without a kitchen until things clear up.

Aaron and his guys did an awesome job. I called to get a free estimate because he had such good reviews online. Honestly, I thought that he would be out of my price range but I figured I'd give it a shot. Well, his prices were so reasonable that I gave him the job of installing hardwood floors on my main level as well as refinishing my floors on my upper level. I definitely plan on using him for future projects.

He removed the old carpet and pads and diligently and carefully installed the new floor. The crew worked hard and meticulously. The finished product is beautiful. Excellent job to Aaron and his team.

i'm happy with the result of the room. i was a little nervous (being in a condo building) b/c there is quite a bit of sawing, hammering and power vacuum so there is a LOT of noise and dust all day, but that is to be expected. the wood is a perfect match and the gentlemen who actually did the work were kind and hard-working. GREAT team who do good work.

We purchased the $99 for 100 Square Feet of Hardwood Floor Sanding and Refinishing Big Deal. Our second floor hallway needed to be refinished and it was just the square footage covered by the deal. The floor is beautiful and I'm so happy we purchased the deal. We will definitely contact Mr. Goodman when we are ready to re-do our living room, dining room and office floors.

Aaron team did a great job refinishing my floor with the dark walnut. The floor look brand new again. He gave us 5 color choices to pick from. End of the floor looks awesome better than how it looks in the picture.

Aaron was a delight to work with from start to finish. We got multiple quotes and not only was AG the cheapest - they were also the most professional, totally willing to work around our schedule to make our dream floors a reality. Aaron was also super easy to get in contact with (even while on vacation!) My husband and I have never done this before and Aaron spent the time walking us through all of our options and giving advice. Best part - the floors look amazing. They're everything we had hoped for. We wholeheartedly recommend this company.

Aaron's workers arrived one hour late with no contact or updates provided. There was no direct contact with the actual workers as I had to rely on Aaron to communicate back and forth while determining their ETA. With that aside, working with Aaron was a pleasure and he as very professional. I am very satisfied with the overall quality of the floors and how they turned out.

Everything went very well. The price was by far the best amongst all of the quotes that I got and the finished product is beautiful. Everyone was very professional and courteous and the job was done in the time required.

DID NOT GE WELL AT ALL.ESTIMATE GIVEN WAS FOR $525.00 AND HE MENTIONED SOMETHING ABOUT STAINING WHICH WAS NOT PART OF THE DEAL ON ANGIES LIST. VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS KIND OF DEALS WHERE THE CONTRACTOR WHO WAS NOT INCLINED TO DRIVE DOWN TO VIRGINIA FROM MARYLAND AND THEN CHANGED HIS TIME FROM 2 PM TO 12.30M AS HE SAID HE WAS IN THE AREA AND ASKED IF I COULD GET OFF WORK EARLY TO CATER TO HIS NEEDS. WE WORK FOR COMPANIES AND DO NOT HAVE THE LIBERTY TO LEAVE WORK EARLY ON THE SAME DAY.

Very well, very fast, and professionally done. Excellent results and appearance and not only does the hardwood floor look brand new, the workers matched the surrounding floor as to color almost exactly. You cannot discern either the old or the new floor areas as different in any respect. I was a little taken back by the final cost, but the quality of the workmanship and the results were beyond my expectations and, as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. I shall use this firm again when I do any hardwood floor refinishing.

Arron completely went over the process and explained our options. AG crew were professional and secured the area with protective plastic to minimize collateral dust. Work was completed without incident. Arron personally followed up on completion. Very happy with results of AG Construction and highly recommend this company.

We picked Aaron for our hardwood refinishing project not only because of his competitive pricing but also because of his professionalism. He was very patient with my husband and I while we took forever trying to pick a color for the stain (yea we were totally one of those annoying people who couldn't make up our mind! lol). The work took about 2 days to finish. When we went into check the finished work, we were a little disappointed to notice that some of the areas were not sanded properly and the staining was also not consistent in some areas. As soon as Aaron walked in, he also noticed the same issues and immediately apologized and promised us that all the issues will be taken care of by the team ASAP. Two days later, we went back to check the finished work again and this time around we were so excited to see the floors looking amazing! We are so happy that we went with Aaron to do this project.
