Firstly, I was impressed with Mr. Goodman's availability and response time. When I first contacted Mr. Goodman, he called me back within a few minutes of me leaving a voicemail. When I called to schedule the work, he picked up right away. After the work was done I had a question and within a few minutes of me emailing him, he called me. He spoke to me twice while the work was being done and came by when the work was almost finished to review the work and make sure I was happy. I noticed one board that looked different than the others and even though was already installed, he had his team remove and replace it right away. He was very patient with my many questions and very informative on the process, even on how best to clean the floors. The wood being installed needed to match the wood I already had in the kitchen and the new wood in the living room blends very nicely. His team was very friendly and professional. I smile every time I come in the living room and see the floor, it is beautiful. I would highly recommend AG Construction and have already to a few neighbors.

Fantastic, just an amazing job would hire again in a second

It went very well. After we pulled up the carpet in a room we discovered that some replacement flooring needed to be installed. Aaron immediately had one of his guys go and purchase the materials and negotiated a fair price for the extra work. They still finished the entire job in one day!

Aaron was responsive via email and text, was flexible on schefuling and completed the work on time. The B on cost is a result of a minor additional cost ($100) added to account for materials that should have been included in the estimate. The work looks great.

Aaron Goodman and his firm provided professional, punctual, courteous service throughout, despite a couple of glitches they had to overcome. First, rather than coming into a remodeled apartment as expected when they agreed to the job, the bathroom renovations contractor had not finished the work, and Aaron and his crew were confronted with a mess: dust everywhere, and pieces of furniture and remodeling supplies strewn all over. They coped with that virtually without complaint. Then on top of that, when Aaron came to look over the work with me, I was not satisfied because I had expected a glossier finish. Aaron explained that he had put on a semi-gloss finish that 99 percent of his customers chose, but I apparently fell into the one percent who wanted a glossier finish. Aaron duly added a coat of high-gloss finish without additional cost. I think it looks great. All in all, professionalism coupled with pleasing the customer -- a winning combination.

Things started out fine with Aaron coming out to see the floors and providing a fair estimate. He was helpful throughout the next few weeks with my questions and helping us determine if we were going to stain the floors or go natural and whether to use oil or waterbased. His reviews were great so we went forward and scheduled him. We decided to play it safe and keep our floors natural and use the clear Bona Traffic HD waterbased poly since it would not have an amber tint that the oil poly does. No break on the price for not using stain but hedid charge and addition $150 per gallon for the Bona Traffic ($300 total). I saw the same stuff on Amazon for $125 with the hardener and free shipping. Not sure how he charges $150 extra on top of the oil poly price built into the price already. The day of the job, Aaron showed up early just to drop off the trim and 2 gallons of Bona Traffic polyurethane. We requested primed shoe molding, he showed up will natural and then told me the prime trim was not in good condition. I find it hard to believe a flooring contractor as busy as Aaron claims to be, he can't get primed trim? No big deal, I'll just have to put two coats of paint on it now. He promised his best guys would be there within the hour and he was out the door with the first half of the payment. Christian and Marco showed up soon after and were nice but spoke very little English making communication near impossible. Every time there was an issue or I had a question they had to call Aaron which clearly annoyed him. They sanded the floors good and then pulled out a can of Zinnser Bullseye Shellac to use as a sealer. As they started to apply this where the refrigerator was, I noticed it had an amber tint which we did not want. As I further inspected the can, it stated it was not recommended for use under polyurethane and said to use Zinnser Seal Coat if needing a Sealer under polyurethane. When I brought this to their attention they called Aaron. Since we never discussed this product I was very hesitant to use it. Aaron tried to assure me it would be fine. I could tell he was frustrated that I wasn't going with it and he finally just said fine, we won't use it as a Sealer and they would just do the 2 coats of Bona Traffic polyurethane. No offer to use the recomended Seal Coat or even a Bona waterbased sealer that is reccomended for use with the Bona Traffic Poly. They then apply the first coat of polyurethane and barely wait 30 minutes, before they are back inside on the floor making all the trim cuts in the middle of the kitchen. Seemed strange even though the poly was dry to touch. Bona Traffic says 2-3 hour dry time. They did a quick buff of the first coat and vacuum and were ready for second coat. Seemed rushed. I came outside and saw Christian mixing the required hardener in with the Bona Traffic. There was a second bottle on the ground next to him labeled Bona Mega, which is a lesser quality Bona polyurethane, with the cap off. When I questioned what he was doing with the different product he couldn't answer. He called Aaron and I got every excuse in the book. First it was they were short on the Traffic so he was adding improvising and adding the Mega. That didn't make sense because there wasn't enough room in the full gallon bottle to add Mega. And why would you mix 2 different kinds of poly? Then he tried to even say it was actually Traffic in the Mega bottle. He said I was babysitting his employees and that they were the professionals and let them do their thing and promised I'd be happy with the final result. We left it as there was nothing I could do and I guess just put down whatever is in the bottle and we will see how it turns out. As I watched them apply the second coat I noticed several pieces of debris still on the floor and brought it to their attention before they got too far down the hall and couldn't reach it without stepping in the wet poly. They also applied poly to the shoe molding after it was installed. They just ran the wet applicator up onto the molding, thus getting it up on the white base board trim as well. They only used half of the gallon for the second coat, even though it's says a gallon is for 350-400 sq ft and my job was 450 sq ft. I told Aaron that and how it contradicted his excuse that they needed more poly and used the Mega. As the floors cured I notice at least 20-25 pieces of debris stuck in the poly and the floors looked yellow. I sent him a lengthy email and detailed the issues I had with the way the work was performed and how it looked. He would not give a partial refund for the labor that I requested but promised to make it right. He ignored all of my complaints except that the floors looks bad (yellow). I heard from him that they were yellow from the floors being sun bleached, to it was a bad batch of poly, to it was a chemical reaction from the new poly and old poly. I couldnt keep up with all the different reasons. He even took his pocket knife out to cut out some pieces of debris and acted like that was normal to have to do after a job. I realize you can keep the area 100% clean but they did not seem to make any extra effort other that a quick vaccum. I talked to several people since that had floors refinished and they didn't have any debris complaints and said a lot of clean up time was spent before that final poly coat was put down. The only good thing is that Aaron offered to redo the work and to use a Bona Brand Sealer. Although we were reluctant to have his guys redo them and move my family and young kids out of the house for a couple days again it was our only option so we accepted. This was not a pleasant experience overall but I gave a C only because the floors were not ruined or damaged by the sanders and he offered to come back out to fix the color. See next review for the second time his guys came out.

Aaron took my initial phone call while on a cruise with his family. Both him and his team were never late and we're generally early to all appts. The stain we picked did not take well and Aaron resanded and replaced it with out a hassle. He even brought an additional 5 stains for us to look at. He made sure multiple times that we were satisfied with the floors and continued to make alterations as needed to ensure the job was perfect. We immediately rehired Aaron to install hardwood on our top floors.

As with most work, it needed some minor corrections - which is where AG Construction excelled. They were responsive, thoughtful and worked with me to get it done to MY satisfaction. Truly interested in exceeding my expectations! Nice job!

For my personal use, and especially as a Realtor who refers contractors, I need accountability and performance. I've used or referred AG Construction around a dozen times (three of my personal properties). His crew is the only sub-contracting team on any project that I NEVER have to worry about. This is high praise and deservedly so. Work, price, team- all outstanding. Aaron is the best.

AG Construction & Flooring is a very knowledgeable and business oriented company. I interviewed 3 contractors when I was shopping around for the job and I must say, AG Construction & Flooring clearly stood out. They offer competitive prices, top quality products and the best professional customer service. The finished product/job was excellent and that went to prove I most definitely chose the best installer for the job. As a full time real estate agent, I constantly come across people who need their floors done and I am always pleased to refer them to AG Construction & Flooring. So far, all my referrals have been extremely happy with the job AG Construction & Flooring did.

Their work and professionalism better than expected. The parquet on my condo looked to dull and tacky. They did a magnificent work. Won't hesitate to hire them again.

The floor looks great!!! I love my floors. I wish I could've done the whole second floor. (I was really tight on budget). The employees did a great job and left the house clean. It took them 9:30AM-7PM (I think it was around 6 or 7) to do a 515sq feet floor. I will definitely ask them again for the service for the other two rooms on the second floor.

The work went seamlessly. Aaron guided us through every step of the process, from how long it should take, where we could get a less expensive temporary storage unit for our furniture, and when we could put furniture and rugs back on the floors. He worked very closely with us to be sure that the color of the refinished floors met our expectations (since we were trying to match the color of an addition in the back of the house). Aaron was always punctual, courteous, informative and polite.

This is the second job I have given to AG Construction. The first job involved sanding/staining/conditioning the living and dining room floors. His crew did an excellent job. I hired him a second time to do the kitchen floor. Again, his crew did an excellent job. They were even willing to move a cabinet and the refrigerator which was not part of the original contract. I intend to hire him a third time to sand and refinish the stairs.

Aaron met with me several times prior to job start to work out the details of this relatively small job. He was on time, even early, for every meeting, and was very helpful with advice. Day of the job, Aaron personally appeared with his employees and gave them instructions. They completed the job as instructed, and we are very pleased with the results. The floors look great, are tight with no gaps or blemishes. In sum, Aaron did exactly what he promised he'd do. What more can one ask. Quality job at an affordable price. Aaron was great. He definitely knows his job. The floors were in bad shape and now they look brand new. He also offered the best price.

They did a great job with the transition from existing flooring to new. Other contractors wanted to use a t-molding. AG spent the time to do it without the t-molding. We had one board that was cracked. They came back and sanded/varnish it to my satisfaction.

This is the second time we use AG Construction & Flooring. The fist time they did an amazing job adding hardwood floors to our entire townhouse. Since then, we moved and did not even think about calling anyone else for the job. The crew is always on time and polite and Aaron does a great job in making sure that no detail gets overlooked. Overall, the results are great and the quality of the products and craftsmanship are visible.

They did such a great job sanding and refinishing, I cancelled the few board repairs I thought I would need to have replaced. Next day, only a very light dust film remained to wipe away. They basically vacuumed up all the sawdust and dirt. Nice to experience such capable, professional workers. Couldn't be happier!

Excellent! The owner of the company met me at my house to survey the project and to explain to me how his company would go about completing it. It is always a pleasure to discuss home projects plainly with a company that truly listens to what I want done. The estimate was emailed to me and I had ample opportunity to review it. The work was done as described in an efficient manner. The owner called me multiple times to ensure my satisfaction. My floors look fantastic and I recommend them highly!
