It was great. The communication between Mr. Goodman and myself was outstanding. I had several questions about items I didn't understand and whenever I called, I was able to speak with Mr. Goodman directly or he returned my call within 15 minutes. It was a difficult job due to some tricky steps at a landing and the need to be careful due to pipes in the concrete sub-base. His crew was very hard working, no cell phones, loud music, trash left behind or loud conversations while working. Their skill in accurate cutting, close measurements of flooring, baseboard molding and trim work was impressive. They cleaned up all the trash, wiped down counters where possible and left the job with everything in place. I felt the house was safe, the working crew was courteous and well mannered. The price for the job was very competitive and inclusive. I would recommend AG Construction above any other company listed on this service.

They were prompt and efficient. They answered any questions that I had. The flooring looks like new and simply shines in the sunlight. They also did an a good job cleaning up after they left.

We had an excellent experience with AG Construction & Flooring. The price that we were quoted was very reasonable and the end result far exceeded our expectations. We had unfinished pine and oak floors underneath old carpet, and they managed to stain and use a water-based polyurethane treatment (as requested by us to reduce fumes/toxins, since I am pregnant) that not only looked great, but blended well with the rest of the floors in the house, making the transition between the newly finished floors and the old floors less jarring. Overall, we would highly recommend them and plan to use them again in the future when we get the rest of the floors refinished.

My floor looks like it did 23 years ago! If I did not know better, I would think they replaced the entire floor - but they didn't. They sanded it and refinished it. I found zero dust from the sanding. Everything was covered well and the two employees were efficient and professional. We have been putting this off for years and I am glad we did. I would highly recommend AG Construction. By the way - my husband is in construction and is extremely picky. He even said it looked "great".

Aaron was incredibly responsive throughout the sales process and during the installation. He kept us updated and checked in frequently (even with a new baby in the mix). The floors look great and I would definitely recommend Aaron and his crew! I was surprised about the dust from the sand left behind in the closets. We have the wire closet organizers so it was challenging to clean those...I would recommend trying to cover those if you are having work done in closets. The stain also leaked on the trim in the stairwells. Not a big deal for us because we had some painting done after the floors were completed so our painter was able to cover that up easily. We got pricing from three companies and Aaron was definitely the most competitive with his price. I'm so happy we made the decision to do this before moving in...totally worth it!

Aaron met us at our house and gave a verbal estimate on the spot, and followed it up with a written one the same day. The work was completed on schedule and he was great with answering questions on the progress of the the job. There were a couple of minor issues when the job was completed, which Aaron handled personally. To find that kind of personalized attention is rare, and you don't see it with bigger companies. They will deliver a quality product on time. Good job!

It went well. The service was scheduled quickly and the schedule met as promised. The costs were reasonable and the work was performed on schedule. The crew was professional and did great work. The floors look fantastic. All work, including the carpet removal and disposal was done as promised.

Excellent response time, had an estimate very quickly and was best price compared with 3 others. Work was ordered and scheduled very soon after and done within 4days with no delays. Very happy with the service and have already referred to neighbor who loved the finished product.

Very happy with the floor refinishing work done at my Baltimore residence by AG. Owner was clear in breaking down the project, team was punctual, and kept me out of the house for as little as possible. No long-term issues with the finish so far (my work was completed 6 months ago). Project went over original estimate only by ~5%, which I consider a success. Owner is clearly detail-oriented and a responsible individual who cares for his clients. Highly recommended!

Aaron, the owner, was very responsive and professional throughout the process from beginning to end and provided good advice on the stain color. Project was finished on time and on budget. When I pointed out some areas that needed more detailed attention and to be done better, Aaron accommodated me until I was satisfied. The team worked very efficiently and was careful with belongings. It went really well, AG Construction did a great job for a very decent price. They made sure the work was done on time, the owner (Aaron) came to check several times whether the work met his quality standards and whether we were satisfied, and he advised us really well on how to handle the insurance company and what to do with the floor in the basement, where water damage could happen again, and we didn't want to have to replace the entire floor again in that case. Overall we are very happy with AG Construction and would definitely recommend working with them; we hope not to get into a situation where we need to fix our floors again, but if we are, we will not doubt a second and work with AG Construction again!

The crew showed up on time, worked hard and did an excellent job. Couldn't be happier with my new floors. This is the second time I have used AG Construction and will use them again when I am ready to have the rest of my floors done. Aaron is great to work with.

When we decided to redo our floors we asked three different companies to give us three different quotes and we finally decided to go with Aaron because he had the most competitive prices and he brought all the samples to our home so we could visually see what matched our existing flooring and that allowed us to made the best decision for our home. Aaron and his crew were very professional, always on time and very accommodating. Also they were very responsive and if any errors happen the fixed them right away and when obstacle happen he found solutions for them right away and was very fair. We will definitely do more business with him and recommend him highly.

Aaron Goodman, owner of AG Construction, had his crew refinish two levels of our hardwood floors and two sets of stairs last February on our new house. While the floors themselves were refinished well, none of our stairwell spindles were taped off as as he had promised resulting in material staining on both the top of bottom of the spindles. At the conclusion of the job, I expressed my concern. Mr. Goodman told me the spindles were protected (and they were not, I was at the job every day.) He then backed down and said he would pay to have them painted. He wanted me to be satisfied with the job and give him a good review on Angie's List. He said I could get my own painter's quote, or he could get me a quote from his painter. We had additional painting to do on the new house so we delayed having the spindles re-painted immediately so we could roll that house update into a larger paint job and limit the mess. I sent Mr. Goodman an email quote from our painter in mid-October for handling the spindles only (less than $500). I sent a follow-up email one week later. One week later I called him. One month later I have never received an email or phone call response. I was hoping to resolve this with him professionally, outside of an Angie's List complaint. However, since he continues to unresponsive, I decided to detail his lack of professionalism here. One other note, he specifically told his workers, in my presence, not to stain a certain part of the wood that extended over the edge of the side of the stairs. He told me those pieces were too fragile to refinish and should be painted. His crew did refinish and stain these fragile pieces. Mr. Goodman's response when I asked him is the refinisher's "wanted to surprise me and thought it would look nice." He then backed down from that statement when I challenged him. All in all, my assessment is that Mr. Goodman is a salesman. He was VERY concerned with getting my business, disparaging other floorers who were giving us estimates. But, he's clearly far less concerned with his integrity in keeping his word and following up on his verbal commitment to me to correct his errors.
