Installation was quick and smooth. The guys arrived on time and completed the 640 sq. ft job in 2 days. Only complaint was all the dust left behind, but I guess that can't be helped.
Description of Work: I had tile, old hardwood, and carpet removed on my first floor and Bamboo floors installed.

The crew did not speak english. I had difficulty explaining to the crew the stain color should match existing flooring color.

We used different locations and we were happy with the fifth location. They are obviously less money. The service was really good. We just got what we wanted. You have a separate company that does the installation and that company was called Baez Installations. They were very quick and there were no problems.
Description of Work: We used Lumber Liquidators for hardwood flooring.

I walked into the store with a deadline of 6 weeks to get the job done. A bit aggressive, I admit, but I was assured by LL's clerk that -- from a materials perspective, at least -- it would be doable. Then the sales representative started checking the inventory and noted that my chosen hardwoods would take at least 3 weeks to arrive and that the stair nosing was on back order and therefore they could not offer a concrete date of receipt. I reminded them of our deadline and said that I needed to know up front whether I should choose another product as meeting the deadline was of paramount importance. They told me that they fully expected to have the stair nosing in stock in time for me to get the job done on schedule only if just barely. Gullibly, I accepted this. In retrospect, I don't know what I was thinking. You live, you learn I guess. I checked in via phone periodically to check on the status. They tell me that everything except for the stair nosing was on track to arrive during the last week of August and that the stair nosing should be arriving during the following week. When the final week of August arrives, I call to confirm that the materials are in only to be informed that the estimate has been pushed back a week. A week later I was informed that all of our materials had arrived except for the stair nosing which had been pushed back another week. Our materials are delivered, sans stair nosing, around September 12-13. We have the job scheduled for the 19th. LL is reporting that the stair nosing "will be on the truck" on the 18th. I call LL the morning of the 18th. They tell me that the truck came in and after a lengthy search they say that my stair nosing did not arrive. They check the computer for another few minutes and tell me that they don't know when it's coming in. I ask how it was possible for them to keep assuring me of delivery dates if they never actually had one. The guy says that "whoever told you a date shouldn't have done that because we don't have one." The guy who said this to me is one of the people who previously gave me a date. I guess he didn't remember doing so. He reassures me that he will do everything he can. I tell him that I'm not happy but there's not much anyone can do about it at this point. Ultimately I had to go ahead with the job without the stair nosing (which as any experienced installer should tell you [though ours didn't] isn't a good idea). The stair nosing finally arrived about a week after the job was finished and was installed a few days later. Overall, I was pleased with the quality and price of the materials but sourly disappointed in the communications and logistics of the company. At least they let us return the surplus materials without any hassle. I won't go into detail about AMEC's installation job since they're a separate company. But since this particular LL storefront has partnered with them, I feel that it is fair for me at least to share that I would absolutely not recommend their services except in the most simple and routine cases (jobs consisting only of rectangular rooms and with materials that have a mono-colored finish).
Description of Work: Note: Price spent does not include installation cost. We recently installed hardwoods throughout much of our home with a total area of installation measuring around 1400 square feet (including two staircases). For this project, Lumber Liquidators served primarily as the supplier. Most of their stores are partnered with an independent contractor (AMEC Contracting in this case) who offers installation services, and after a consultation and measurement, we ended up using their contracting partner to perform the installation. After a brief in-store consultation, we ended up choosing Schön 5" engineered hardwood flooring with a Natural Hickory finish. The price per square foot was very reasonable. We purchases all of the other necessary items from Lumber Liquidators too: Underlayment, quarter-round (shoe) moulding, stair nosing, and vent grilles. Additionally, we wanted to have white risers installed on our staircases. We were able to order primed risers through Lumber Liquidators at a reasonable cost.
