masonry, replacement windows
+ 0 moreAndy returned our call quickly and also did a quick evaluation and estimate. He worked with us as we adjusted measurements so the brick details would fit around the window. The window and surrounding brick look like the house was built with a triple window! This was especially important because the window being replaced faces the street. Lastly, we were a little wary about finding a mason because a couple of years ago we used a (non-Angie's List!) mason for a replacement kitchen window and he did an awful job! At our request, Andy came back on two separate occasions to measure the space needed for the brick to fit perfectly. Andy redeemed our faith and we now plan to use this company in creating a new basement level door. Thanks to Fawn Grove Masonry and Andy and Angie's List!
Description of Work: It was our first time installing a triple window to replace a single one in our 70's brick colonial. Andy worked with our salvaged brick ends to match the surrounding bricks and mortar.

+ 0 moreVery well. The work was started on time, the crew did an excellent job of minimizing damage to surrounding lawn and landscaping. They even managed to preserve a beautiful green split-leaf Japanese maple that is draped over the end of the retaining wall. Andy Welch is a pleasure to do business with. His handshake is worth more than a 10-page typed contract.
Description of Work: Remove cracked brick retaining wall, brick steps and concrete walkway. Build new brick retaining walls and steps and install new concrete walkway.

+ -1 moreThey were great. Started as soon as they got here. Very helpful with ideas of what we could do to the area to make it look better. They cleaned up very nicely.
Description of Work: They fixed a front porch of ours. They fixed the concrete and laid stone on top.
