This is a work in progress, so far, so good. Everyone we've worked with has been professional, prompt and courteous. They've offered insights and suggestions into what we want to do and have brought potential problems to our attention. We'll post again as the project reaches completion. 6/15: The job is now completed. The kitchen looks fantastic! We are very pleased with the job Precision Remodeling has done. We have actually contracted Dave to replace the sliding door that leads from the kitchen to the patio.

David did a fantastic job. He was timely, very professional, he came in and got the job accomplished quickly. He laid out everything for us ahead of time, He was very courteous and just overall good and did an outstanding job in the work around the house. The price was reasonable. We will use him again.

The estimate was quick and reasonable. Wrote up the contract and within 2 weeks work was completed. Workers showed up in uniform. They protected the floors and were very friendly, efficient and qualified. Painter came 5 days later

Precision Remodeling responded immediately to our Angie's List request. We set up an appointment and Dave and Jeremy were punctual, friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and generous with their time as we walked through the house - inside and out - stating our 'wish list'. They helped us prioritize projects with respect for immediate needs and long term problem solving. A detailed bid came from Dave promptly with in few days and they both followed up with respectful e-mails and phone calls to answer questions we might have. We liked that we knew they were interested and engaged without being high pressure. The next few weeks for us were a swirl of getting more information from other contractors as we were told to take the time for multiple bids. In the end we used another company, not because of any fault or shortcoming with Precision Remoldeling - they were always at the top of our list of people we'd like to work with - but rather because our thinking evolved as we learned more about what we needed to do and what products we wanted to use. We have only the utmost praise for Dave and Jeremy's interaction with us and we would certainly call them in the future when our home needs more improvement.

TThis is the second project we have completed with David Rutch?s Precision Remodeling. The first project was smaller in scope and consisted of replacing our front door, rear patio slider, repairing some interior drywall work, and adding crown molding. This more recent project was much larger in terms of work and cost. For this project, we built an addition over our garage consisting of a master bedroom, master bath with custom shower and clawfoot tub, and custom walk-in closet. Precision Remodeling also replaced all of our home?s windows (15), siding, and the posts and rails for our front porch. While we were familiar and quite happy with Precision?s work, we did the due diligence of getting two other bids. Precision?s bid was the most accurate and fair (one was under bidding to get the job and the other required significant money for the design alone). We went with Precision and were exceptionally pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the crew and subcontractors. We have listed some of the Benefits and some of the Opportunity areas of working with Precision Remodeling below: BENEFITS: 1. We are delighted with the end result?including the sturdy structure, incredible vaulted ceiling, the gorgeous tile and granite in the bath, the plumbing fixtures (clawfoot tub), plush carpet, and the custom shelves built for the walk-in closet. 2. Precision Remodeling has very high standards with regard to its employees in terms of knowledge and professionalism. For instance, the entire crew wears uniforms, removes their shoes (when possible) or covers them with booties upon entering the home, and cleans up their workspace at the end of each day. They take great pride in their professionalism and it shows. 3.David and his crew excel at communicating and responding to customers in a prompt manner. I know this may sound minor, but when you are spending a lot of money on a home remodel it makes a huge difference whether or not you can reach your contractor when you need him. 4. Precision has very close ties with its subcontractors and they provide amazing service and are incredibly responsive. 5.The exterior crews (led by Jeremy) are consummate professionals when it comes to meeting and exceeding building codes while making the outside of your home beautiful. They have many, many years of building experience and you can see it in their work. For example, they were not satisfied with the framing of our addition until everything was perfectly level and braced to meet standards that exceed those required by the state of Maryland. I have hurricane clips, which are not required in Maryland, on my addition because that is their standard. 6. The interior crews (led by Pat) truly excel at the fine touches that make any job (regardless of size or money spent on materials) look custom. For example, my wife loved the tiling work that was done in the bathroom but the color of just one particular tile bothered her. Without a moment?s hesitation, and despite the fact that it created re-work for them (especially so due to the installation of a heating mat), Pat and his crew removed the offending tile and replaced it with another. OPPORTUNITY AREAS: 1.The start date and completion date for the project got pushed several weeks due to the sheer volume of business Precision is experiencing right now. They are a high-quality contractor and much in demand. This delay caused some changes to the schedule and a good amount of juggling for the family. 2.There were some design elements that probably should have been discussed before work began that required some fairly intensive on-the-spot trouble-shooting and redesign (bathroom layout, required egress, and the centering of the vaulted ceiling). 3. Some of the cost overruns could have been forecast into the original quote (e.g., additional carpeting for a closet that was moved, fire-rated drywall, etc.) or an alternate material chosen if the cost differential was caught in time (e.g., the tile chosen for the bathroom was not in budget but ordered). Having said that, decisions made by the homeowners (e.g., keeping the more expensive tile, vaulting the bedroom ceiling) affected the cost. Overall, the project went 12% over budget. Of that, 9% was homeowner-driven. Overall, I highly recommend David Rutch?s Precision Remodeling and will definitely use their services in the future. The challenges and opportunity areas we encountered during this major remodel WOULD be found with any general contractor. The strengths that set Precision Remodeling apart, though, are the quality, customer service, and professionalism they bring to your project. These are qualities you find with Precision Remodeling that you WOULD NOT find with just any contractor.

They came and took measurements. Took about a week to get the estimate. It was more than we wanted to pay so we never used them.

My wife and I could not be more pleased with the total experience as well as the satisfied outcome. David and his staff are professional, knowledgeable, and conscientious. I actually just emailed him and he had a message that he was away for vacation but we did hear back from him. He has been really good with communication. We had 4 contractors in the house and out of all them he was the only one I would consider because the other ones sometimes never responded and the other ones had prices that were strange. As far as communication and doing the estimate, I feel like he did a very fair estimate and he was very good at communicating. It was a very fair price and he seemed to understand what needed to be done because it was a little complicated how the stairs are and every time I asked a question, he gets back to me right away.

David was thorough and professional. Due to computer issues with both of our systems, as well as holiday committments, we have been delayed in getting a final estimate together. David has offered to speak to my insurance company regarding a repair that was undervalued by the adjuster. I appreciated his responsiveness to my questions and issues and look forward to receiving his estimates on the various projects. January 28, 2014 We are still waiting to hear from my insurance company and from the painter to finalize the estimate for work. David has kept in touch regularly which is appreciated. Of all the contractors I have spoken with, he is the most responsive and professional.

We couldn't be happier about our decision to go with Precision Remodeling. Dave was very responsive to my original call. Not only was his price reasonable, but he offered suggestions to improve the look we wanted without necessarily spending more. Each day he and his team arrived on time, were extremely professional and left the work area spotless! Once the trim work was completed the painters came in and finished the project. Again, the team was great! They took such pride in their work, you would have thought it was their own home. Going forward, there is no doubt in our minds that we'll use Dave Rutch's Precision Remodeling for our projects!

Overall the job looks great. Was a tad bit overpriced for the work that was done. Crew was professional and punctual. I would recommend.

He's just reliable, honest and on time. Overall, he's a good person. He'll never cheat anyone. He'll tell you everything. He doesn't hide anything for you and doesn't try to overcharge. He just does an amazing job. I'm gonna use him forever.

The project started on time and ended on time and on budget. When there was an item that ended up costing less, the credit was passed onto us the homeowner. The owner of the company is very customer focused and determined to do what it takes to make the customer both satisfied and happy. I was very appreciative that the owner of the company not only pitched in and did needed work but also came on site to ensure that the sub contractors were doing their job.

From start to finish, my experience was a positive one. I contacted Precision through their website to request an estimate for the work I needed done. Within half an hour, David Rutch called to confirm that he'd received the inquiry and to let me know that the person who specializing in exterior projects would be contacting me to set up a time to come out for an estimate. That same evening I received an email from Jeremy to set-up a time for him to come out. He came out the same week and was on-time and professional. Within 2 days (it may have been one day, I can't remember but I know it was very timely), I had an estimate emailed to me. All of this contact happened during the week of 4th of July and still Precision was prompt and made me feel like my business was important despite the fact that 1) it was a holiday time and 2) I'm sure this was a smaller scale project compared to most of the work they do. Shortly thereafter, Dave Rutch was able to accommodate my schedule in signing a contract and within just over a week, the job was done. The guys who came out to do the actual work were incredibly prompt (despite bad weather), did excellent work and were very polite. My replacement posts look great and are far more secure than the old ones. The soffit installation looks great and was completed thoroughly. They also did a fantastic job cleaning up! I would definitely hire them again!

I was impressed by his professionalism and knowledge of the work that would be needed to finish this approximately 900 square foot space. He was also very honest about the challanges we would likely face. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, the project was delayed so we were unable to use Dave for this job. However, based on our initial contacts with him, we would highly recommend him to others!

I used their services a year and a half ago. He did remodelling inside my house. He put in crown moulding, fireplace work, he installed some doors and general carpentry work. He has great attention to detail. He did a fabulous job and I would use him again in a minute. He was very prompt and responsible. I think he is a great find!

David first provided us with an estimate in October 2010 and demolition began on our kitchen in February 2011. Once our kitchen was gutted then work began on the flooring. Once the flooring was in place then the cabinets were installed. Then came the installation of the granite countertops.All the new appliances were installed. And then the recess lighting was put in throughout the kichen and dining room. And last but not least the backsplash was installed. I have to say that David and his crew were very easy to work with. David told us that our kitchen renovation would take approximately 4 weeks and he was spot on. We were enjoying our new kichen 4 weeks after work had begun. David was in daily contact with us and always made sure to let us know about any scheduling changes. We will definitely call David when we need any work done on our house.

What a pleasant surprise ... to work with a contractor that "does what he says". I've worked with many contractors as the person running our small rental house business over the years. Contractors are famous for not showing up or being late....leaving a mess.... not quite finishing everything....forgetting little things... or even disappearing altogether. ..sometimes the price mysteriously changes.... Well they were rentals and never perfect anyway. I met Dave while his crew was working at a neighbors. I wanted the rest of my house sided with vinyl to match what was done previously. This was the house we lived in. I wanted it done really professionally. Well, my house never looked this great! Dave is a gem....so I quickly got his ideas for a pergola and had that done at well...next he'll be doing my kitchen! He really knows what he's doing. His suggestions have probably saved me a lot of money. I can't wait. Someday we'll have a garage too. I will keep him coming back to my house... my house will look great.... You will like him. He's really good and might be really busy. :)

I can’t say enough good things about Dave, Jeremy, Bill and the Precision Remodeling crew. From start to finish they did a great job in designing our screened porch and fixing a number of issues on our preexisting deck. After working with a number of contractors in the past, Precision Remodeling was the best of the bunch. It wasn't just the quality of the final product but the attention to detail. They did little things to enhance our porch that other contractors would have never thought to do. Examples included detailed trim around our ceiling fan and areas around the porch. They maintained a clean work environment and kept my wife and I involved throughout the build process. Jeremy and the team were there every day working on the project till it was complete (3 weeks). If you are looking for a trustworthy contractor that provides high quality products I wouldn’t hesitate to call Dave and his team at Precision Remodeling. I know that my wife and I will continue to use them in the future.

David arrived the first day and 3 weeks later he was finished. He asks for your ideas. If you ask him to offer ideas he will and is very creative. Everything he suggested and everythinng he did was just as I dreamed

We couldn't be more pleased with the whole process from start to finish. Dave worked with us every step of the way, making suggestions that really improved on our own ideas of what we wanted. His crew was always on time and cleaned up at the end of everyday. The construction moved along smoothly from framing to electrical and plumbing to drywall, painting and flooring without any real delays. We are very happy with the end result and would highly recommend Dave and his crew to anyone.

Dave and his crew maintained a punctual work schedule, arrived on time daily and put in a full day of work. They took a great deal of pride in their workmanship, with special attention to detail. Dave and his crew were easy to work with and provided us with a beautiful, well- constructed basement. We were so pleased with the entire project that we recommended Precision Remodeling to our daughter who then contracted with them to have her basement finished.

All went well save for glitch in job scheduling for vinyly siding R&R.Crew left storm-damaged section of house until the last. By this time weather was significantly colder and we had subesquent rain storms and snow squalls. Also, work dragged on over Thanksgiving/Xmas holiday period which further impeded completion as crew manager left on vacation. Work unltimately completed per contracxt and no additional damge was incurred from delay. Better communication regarding issues surrounding delays, along with a job plan that closed up damaged end of house first would have been a good improvement.
