I’m very pleased with the work performed.
Description of Work: Fireplace would not ignite. Technician cleaned the gas pilot and other gas items and reignited the unit.

Steve arrived on time. He cleaned and serviced the fireplace (gas insert). Prior to the cleaning, we had some problem with back-draft bringing in smell of soot (?), but the smell is now mostly gone. He even promised to come back for more thorough cleaning in the winter if the smell persists.
Description of Work: Annual fireplace cleaning and servicing.

Description of Work: came to assess the issue with my gas fireplace, couldn't fix it, ordered parts and new remote. From there communication broke down, couldn't get the main office to agree to have the tech call me for clarification. I told them I would not pay for the call and did not want nor would pay for the ordered parts, which I came to understand were never ordered anyway.

The technician spent 5-10 minutes looking at the fireplace and the thermostat and said that there was nothing wrong with it. He said that the only option was to install a ($195) remote control digital unit (like they replaced 2 years ago!). I asked whether it was possible to get a more accurate hard-wired thermostat, but he said they can't do that since the manufacturer only authorizes their thermostats. He then charged me $90 for the service call.
Description of Work: The gas fireplace thermostat that Hearth Product Services installed 2 years ago does not keep the room temperature where it is set. Once it comes on it stays on even when the room temperature is an uncomfortable 80 degrees. The hard-wired thermostat they installed 2 years ago replaced a digital remote that came with the fireplace.

He fixed my problem with pilot light going out, adjusted the logs (they were installed improperly), tested the gas pressure, installed doors that I ordered for the fireplace and also installed a remote. I was very pleased with this company all the way around.
Description of Work: I recently had a new gas log fireplace installed and my contractor walked out on me before the job was finished. Hearth Products Services sent it's man out and he was very professional and extremely knowledgeable.

Excellent - One minor problem: While the technician was there he told us that they don't take credit cards - checks only. We had not been informed of that when we made the appt. I called the office, and they said they would send us a bill - so it turned out not to be a problem.

Gave appt. time of 1-3 pm. called at 230 and said had one more job then us. Arrived 3:15 and finished service in about 30 minutes.

Fantastic... When I first called, I was afraid that no one would call me back because I got an answering machine... Surprise, the very nice lady on the phone called me back within 3 hours and scheduled an appt for the next day since they would be in our area (a Saturday.... which works much better). Casey arrived on time, was very polite and knowledgeable. After briefly looking at the unit and the manual (a manufacturer he was not familiar with) he completed the work quickly. He went on to help us by explaining maintenance and tips on how the unit works. Talked about their yearly maintenance services available. Completed the work quicker than anticipated... This fireplace is in our bedroom and he made sure that he kept the area clean by putting down a drop cloth for him to sit on... very professional. Casey didn't mind looking at the second fireplace system even though it was not discussed when I made the service call. Definitely would use again.
Description of Work: Installed remote and Fan on new Kingsman fireplace. Check this and 2nd fireplace for leaks.

Wonderful experience. I had called 6 different companies that never called me back for this repair. When I called Hearth they answered the phone and scheduled me for work within a couple of days. Casey came out and was very thorough making sure the unit was operating correctly, he fixed the problem and was very clean and pleasant. He spent plenty of time showing me how to operate the unit correctly and only charged me for 1/2 hour of time. I will use them for all my gas fireplace repair needs.
Description of Work: We just bought our house and we had a gas fireplace in our sunroom that wasn't working. Hearth cleaned the Pilot & ODS. Checked for leaks and made sure the fireplace was operating properly.

The representative was very professional. He gave me an overview of the work required but he did not emphasize the obvious errors made by the installer. I will use this company for annual maintenance.
Description of Work: I have a new home with two propane fireplaces. Based on performance, I was concerned about the installation. Hearth Product Services inspected both fireplaces and determined that they had not been installed properly. The service man corrected the problems which included incomplete conversion from natural gas to propane, incorrectly positioned logs in both fireplaces (in one, the logs had been installed backwards which meant the glass screen was covered in soot) and fan placement.

WE CALLED A LOCAL COMPANY HEARTH PRODUCT SERVICES WHO FOUND A LOOSE TERMINAL, CORRECTED THIS AND ADJUSTED THE PILOT UP, AFTER THIS REPAIR FIREPLACE WORKED PERFECT
