Carlos Mosquera Painting Inc

Went great overall. The only "glitch" was that when we asked Carlos how long it would take, he said that -using 3 people, he could finish it in a day. Instead of 3 people working, there was only one, and consequently it took 3 days. I had to take off work an extra day, and then they were good enough to schedule Saturday work for the third day. Did a very good job, and Carlos came back to inspect and saw a few places that I hadn't noticed, that needed touch-up, which they fixed.

Carlos Mosquera was very quick to get back to us when we called for an estimate. It was not the lowest estimate, but it included the cost of paint and supplies. He uses Benjamin Moore paints exclusively, so that made the estimate competitive. The actual work started about a week later. It was a complicated job, using in some cases two colors per room (in addition to the ceiling and the trim). We had had a lot of electrical work done, so there were a bunch of holes in the walls and ceilings. And the initial paint job done by the developer was amazingly sloppy. So it is not surprising that a few things needed to be done twice to get them right. Carlos was very responsive and he and his crew did everything we asked them to do. The net result is a well-painted interior at a reasonable price.

Carlos was responsive, courteous, and wonderful to work with. He responded immediately, and did the work within days.

They performed the work as advertised, professionally, and punctually. They were alone in my house as I was at work and I trusted them explicitly.

Painters were here for 4-5 days. Initially a crew of 3, were introduced. By the 3rd day, the crew had diminished to only 1 person. The 4th day, the painter brought along some one else to help him finish the work. This person was unknown to me and did not seem to know what he was doing. The work was finished but there were multiple areas that had to be redone. I discovered many areas in where the work was sloppy or things that were promised were not done. When I pointed them out, they fixed many of them. But I discovered many more upon close observation.

The quality of the work was exemplary. They did exactly was we agreed upon and did not stop until I was satisfied. The company leadership is very evident, the workers are supervised and punctual, clean, and skilled in their jobs. No short cuts were taken or steps overlooked in the process. I would recommend the co. enthusiastically. It's rare to find a contract where the client rules!

Carlos returned calls promptly to schedule an estimate. Showed up on time. Was able to send estimate by e-mail which was very convenient. I selected another company because I decided to expand the scope of work to include landscaping and gutter cleaning.

I contacted several painters listed on Angie's List. All respond promptly, and provided estimates. I chose to work with CARLOS MOSQUERA PAINTING INC because he was prompt (he showed up that evening to provide a quote), his address is very close to where I live, and his price was the lowest (about $50) lower than the next lowest bid. When I contacted Carlos to arrange the work, he indicated the date he would start. I called him back a couple of nights before the date, and he confirmed both time and date. On the day of the work, he and his crew arrived around as planned and begin the work on time. Carlos and I went over the details of what was to be done, how his workers would access the roof, etc. Carlos related that information to his workers who began working. I stayed around for about 30 min to make sure everything was going okay and then went to work. I came home around 1pm to check on my dogs and to see how the job was going. The painters were finished painting, and were pickup up trash resulting from their work (paint scrapings, etc) and cleaning up the area. The work looks fine, the paint appears to match the rest of the house, etc. That evening, Carlos came back to check on the work himself, asked if I was happy, and we settled up.

They came in a moved all of the furniture out of the way, and covered everything. The owner of the company was there everyday to check on things. They were here every day, all day until the job was finished. The men who did the work were very professional and efficient. They worked very hard and did a beautiful job! I am thrilled with the finished product and the entire process went very well. There were a couple of minor things that I questioned and they immediately corrected or otherwise took care of my concern. I feel like I have finally found a contractor who I know I can depend on to give me excellent service and great results. I will definitely use this company whenever I need any of their services. I think Angie's List is the best thing I've found since I've been a homeowner, and that's been 50 years!!!! Thank you.

I am in the apt business, and am used to dealing with vendors all the time - I can honestly say that Carlos is the BEST I have seen. His company's work is excellent, and just as important - Carlos himself communicates very clearly as the job is in process so that we are kept in the loop. On top of this - he came out to my house himself to do some touch up work almost 1 year later - as he showed me the best way to do it - we will continue to use his company - these folks are excellent at what they do.

We originally contacted Mr. Mosquera to power wash brick patios and a large retaining wall. He appeared, no exaggeration, within 10 minutes of my call and gave me an estimate on the spot. It was reasonable and he and two crew members came two days later to perform the work. Upon their arrival, I asked him if he could also power wash a fence and seal it, as well as paint some railings and outside doors. Again, an estimate on the spot, which was also reasonable. And he rolled all work into the first job for which we already had contracted. Within two very full days, the job was done and it is terrific. They were neat, punctual, thorough. We will take a breath and then ask him to paint the exterior of our home. He was terrific; personable and professional.

I cannot find the words to recommend this company more than they do excellent work! I trust the owner with any job. He has done interior work for us too, and did an excellent job there too. The total job took 5 days because it took 3 days to paint the white trim with primer then white. There were always at least 3 men, and some days up to 9 men working on the house. They even replaced partial window sill and frame that had rotted. Installed new front door lights, and numbers (I supplied), and were extremely clean and efficient. Rain slowed the job, but only temporarily, and not a minute was wasted in getting it done. As mentioned above, they even painted my blue mailbox at the street, because it matched the house. During this period of stale housing sales, most painters are not busy, but Carlos is booked. He will always add more workers to complete jobs on time. Carlos visited the site everyday, inspected the work, made corrections, and required re-doing some minor things, and explained to the workers what he wanted done. They all did their work with high skill. Highly recommended.

For me, there's always a little guilt when hiring a painter because there's a niggling sense that I could save the money if I just did it myself. I will never feel that way again! The job that Carlos and his team did painting the interior of my condo illustrates fully the huge difference between painting an interior and having an interior professionally painted. Carlos was prompt to arrive, gave me an estimate immediately. I felt it was somewhat high, and he encouraged me to get other estimates. Because he had described in detail what he was going to do, and because I had a good feeling about what the final product would be , I just committed to the job on the spot. His crew arrived and had the interior fully prepped in what seemed like no time. Paper was carefully laid across my newly refinished hardwood floors and great care was taken to protect all of the newly renovated features of the condo. The team was pleasant, polite, efficient, and did superior work. They were also considerate of the fact that I was going to have another contractor working in the unit simultaneously and, despite the fairly tight quarters, made every effort to accommodate his needs. Two minor areas of complaint were brought to Carlos attention: they had overlooked painting the interior of the linen closet, and I requested a change to the kitchen color before work had started and they inadvertently painted the original color. Carlos immediately rectified both issues and was diligent in checking in with me to see that everything was exactly as I'd want it to be. The paint job looks phenomenal; I will never even consider painting an interior myself again. I'll call Carlos. The experience was pleasant from beginning to end and the results are even more spectacular than I could have hoped.

Mr. Mosquera answered my initial inquiry immediately and gave me an estimate within 1 business day. The price was $550 lower than the other bid response I received. Mr. Mosquera scheduled the work to begin within 3 business days of my acceptance of the proposal. His workers arrived on time each day, were polite, clean and very talented painters. Mr. Mosquera visited the site several times each day to ensure I was satisfied. The work was done in 2 business days. The finished product looks superb and the price was very good. I am extremely pleased.

Excellent! Carlos showed up on time with two of his painters. They were all incredibly professional and very clean. They made sure to tell me what they were going to do at regular intervals, and were very respectful as they moved furniture and items in the rooms to be painted. The work done was EXCEPTIONAL! They were very clean, and Carlos came by at the end to review the work and to make sure that I was happy with the quality.

Carlos and his crew did a superb job. Enrique the foreman (who managed the day-to-day tasks) was an extremely professional and respectful individual and took all our feedback to heart. The team was on time everyday and were very careful of our belongings. We lived in the home while they were painting, they were respectful of this and took direction from us to enable us to live there while they were working. Overall, they are very hardworking, diligent, respectful bunch who did a superb job for us.

Carlos is very polite and nice. He gave us a very detailed list of what he is going to do with our house, estimate price and 6 references before we decide to go with his company. He also encourage us to compare his price to other company's. His is the cheapest, actually. He told me he only needs 2 days to finish all the work around my house. Therefore I set up the date with him on 9/20-21 (thur. and fri.), so I can have quieter time with my family and kids during weekend in that way. However, they didn't really finish the job until sat. One of the worker even left without telling us and we discovered they didn't really finish the job so they have to come back on Sunday to do it again. The whole thing didn't take much time but you just feel like you have to stay home and wait for them to come. That is the only thing I am not happy about. Otherwise, they've done the good job with the good price.

Carlos was prompt to provide us with a proposal. He stated it would take at least 7 days due to the amount of prep work that needed to be done on the interior. We were leaving town on Thursday and agreed to have the work started while we were gone over the weekend. When we returned on Monday, the majority of the interior painting was completed but the prep work hadn't been done properly. Obvious nail pops, nail holes, seams, etc. had not been repaired. Pointed out several areas to Carlos, which his painter promptly repaired and repainted. Over the next few days noticed more areas that were not properly repaired and had Carlos come back out to meet with my husband and I to go over the areas of concern. They came back again but the interior painting still does not meet our expectations of a professional paint job. It got to the point where I paid them because it wasn't worth the nuisance to keep having them come back. Clean up has been a nightmare, paint splatters are everywhere.

It did not go well considering he never got back to us with an estimate.

Such an overall pleasant experience from start to finish. So accommodating, polite, easy to work with. Stayed till job was done and strong attention to detail-finished product. Able to pick up additional work. Use him! Keep up the great work and attitude!

The estimating visit was right on time. The work started and finished on time. We are very pleased and will use this company again.

We had someone come in and do this job about a year ago and it didn't take. Carlos came in and stripped everything away and redid the entire fence for about the same price. He did a superior job and I would highly recommend him.
