The entire process went smoothly. Carlos was prompt and professional on the estimate. His estimate was the best of 5 I got from other Angie's List companies. His crew started the next week, showed up every day on time, and even worked the weekend to get the job done. They were polite and professional, and always cleaned up everything before they left. The painting looks great.

Carlos personally came over and gave me an estimate, with a nice discount for bieng a member of Angie's List. At first, I just wanted him to do exterior painting and wood repair. But he also gave me an estimate for power-washing the house and stripping and resealing the deck. I compared his estimates for the latter two with other estimates, and decided to go with Carlos. He sent his crew to my house on the agreed upon date, and did an excellent, professional and very careful job. I was most impressed with his crew's attention to detail. I recommended him to a neighbor, and will use him again myself soon. (The interior needs painting now!!)

On initial contact, Carlos scheduled a same-day free estimate. He arrived promptly for the estimate, assessed the workload, offered helpful information but did not use high pressure tactics. He gave me a verbal estimate on the spot and followed up with a detailed written estimate specifically outlining the work we had discussed. There was a little confusion about the day we picked to do the work but when we rescheduled he and his team arrived promptly. All members of the team were friendly, professional, and completed the work in the estimated time. The quality of the work was excellent and they cleaned up the workspace prior to leaving. Carlos supervised the work and came back to check the work prior to his team leaving. I would definitely hire him again in the future.

After closing on our new house, we were on a short deadline to move in. Carlos was able to surge his people (sometimes with ten individuals at one time working in the house) to get the job done one time and to standard. We were very happy with the quality of their work.

Carlos Mosquera and his crew did an excellent job on my house. The job included: removing paste and bits of grasscloth from two long walls (I had removed the grasscloth), washing the walls, repairing dings and a two-foot-square hole in the plasterboard, sanding, priming, and painting two coats of Benjamin Moore paint. In all, they painted 6 rooms, two stairwells, and two halls. Mr. Mosquera came promptly to give an estimate. He looked around thoroughly to see what had to be done and sent me an estimate soon after (I knew exactly which paint I wanted). We agreed on a date four weeks away. On the Monday specified, three or four trucks pulled up at my house at exactly 8:30. A crew of five worked all day; the next day, four; days three-five, three men were here. They were the same men each day. They worked neatly and thoroughly, and every day at 4:00 they folded up their equipment, cleaned the floors, and departed. I came and went throughout the week, talking to Carlos occasionally, but he came and inspected the work daily, and had (at least) one wall re-done because it didn't meet his standards. By Friday afternoon, the house was newly painted and the men were gone. This was by far the best painting experience I've ever had. The one issue that I raised (my fault that I hadn't specified which Benjamin Moore finish I wanted used) was quickly resolved at a fair price. The "upstairs painters" even re-painted a bookcase to match the bedroom color. For professionalism, neatness, responsiveness, and completion of the work on schedule, it was well worth the money.

Overall the project went very well. Carlos came by each day to check on crew and progress. He explained procedures and answered any questions we had. The crew was polite and unobtrusive (as much as 5-7 guys arriving at 7:45a.m. can be). They worked steadily throughout the day and cleaned up the site carefully each day.

There was a fair amount of wood rot that had to be prepped for painting including window sills and rust on my railing. Carlos sent a three man crew which worked for two days and one worker to wrap up on the third and last day. In general they were professional and punctual. Overall I was pleased with the work and would use Carlos' company again for other painting needs in the future.

I solicited 3 bids for this fairly extensive painting job (interior and exterior). Carlos and one other came in at about the same price. I chose Carlos because of his professionalism and responsiveness (he came out to do the bid the same day I called). The job lasted about 2 weeks, and his crew was polite and respectful. They also cleaned up each day, and did a final clean up at the end of the job. The quality of the painting is outstanding, and I couldn't be more pleased. Of note, I changed my mind about the color of the exterior after they had painted half of the house with a paint/prime mixture. At my request, Carlos and one of his men came out to my house at 7:00 the following morning to apply a coat of just the paint to a large area on the exterior so I could decide if I wanted to change colors or not. I did change the color, and even though it meant wasting about 5 gallons of paint and buying new paint, Carlos was extremely accommodating and never once complained (obviously it cost me more money and time, but it was definitely worth it). I have only one extremely minor complaint. Carlos does try to push Benjamin Moore paints, which he gets at a "discount" of $35/gallon (retail is $45/gallon). I insisted on buying Behr from Home Depot (which Consumer Reports rates the highest - much higher than Benjamin Moore) which was $21/gallon, which Carlos was fine with. However he did buy the exterior paint, which I obviously paid more for. However, I probably could have gotten those at Home Depot as well if I had gone earlier in the process to get the paint. However, this did not at all detract from my overall very high satisfaction with the entire experience. I would definitely hire Carlos again if/when we decide to paint our basement.

I was completely satisfied. Carlos meet me at the property one hour after I called to schedule an appointment. He had a full crew of painters there within 48 hours who did a remarkable job on an exterior that needed lots of attention including scraping, filling and sanding prior to painting. The job was complete in a day as he had four men on the job for the entire day.

Carlos was polite and professional but his prices were way to high. Ended up getting both rooms painted for $350 and this included paint and all supplies.

Great. Carlos, the owner, was always extremely responsive and punctual. He came by everyday, more than once on most days, to inspect the work and to see if I was happy with all the work.

I called Carlos for an estimate. After we scheduled an early AM meeting that Carlos unfortunately missed, we re-scheduled. He gave me an estimate that was within range of others I had asked, and we scheduled a time for his crew to come out and paint. In the meantime, I had a baby - he came 3 weeks early. Carlos and his team came out as scheduled and finished the job a day early. They did a great job and the bookcase unit and wall looks very nice.

I was referred to Carlos after he agreed to honor Angie's list Interior Painting Deal of the Day. The original company was cancelled due to lack of license. The Deal of the Day prompted me to stop procrastinating about the painting I needed done. Carlos is very personnable. Carlos gave me an appointment and estimate for the additional work I wanted beyond the Deal. He came promptly and answered all email messages regarding contract, color selections and scheduling. He appeared with his crew the first day and made certain they knew what was to be done. They properly prepared/repaired walls & ceiling for painting. They were detail oriented, courteous, and very neat My rooms are gorgeous. Visiting friends have commented on the quality of the paint job.

Fantastic! Mr. Mosquera and his team combined craftsmanship with artistry. They went out of their way to make sure the ceiling lost as little height as possible. They did such a great job that I defy anyone to tell that these ceilings weren't "factory installed." In addition, they patched neglected walls, added dramatic trim, and did a super job painting. Those things alone would have been enough to make us recommend this company highly, but two additional factors make them stand out from the rest. First, Mr. Mosquera managed this complicated project while we were having new hardwood floors installed, electrical work done, and carpets added. He was very accommodating of our overall construction schedule. A real professional, he stopped by regularly to make sure the work was done to his high standards. Second, at the end of each day, his crew -- as hard-working a group as we've seen in quite some time -- left the place spotless. Simply put, this company deserves the very highest marks. Their excellent Angie's List reputation is well-deserved.

Carlos did an outstanding job painting the exterior of our house. He provided a competitive bid and completed the work in a timely manner. Carlos (and his crew) is very professional, staying closely involved with the project and ensuring a high quality finished product. In fact, the project turned out to be much bigger than original estimated because of additional wood repair that needed to be completed (our house is over 100 years old). Instead of just doing a quick fix, Carlos explained the issue to us and recommended a good solution (and always delivered on what he said he would do at a fair price.) In painting our house, his team was excellent, taking the time to caulk all exposed areas and reglaze the windows while paying attention to the details. The carpentry work was also very good. His team had to replace almost all the wood frames for our windows and rebuilt much of our front porch. Carlos also went out of his way to replace two panes of glass that were previously broken. We were very happy with the end result and would definitely use Carlos again in the future.

Carlos was very professional from the start. He came promptly, gave me a bid quickly, and started the job on the day he estimated. His crew was very professional and did very nice work. We were really pleased with the finished product. He even power washed my teak chairs which saved me hours of work!

Carlos Mosquera provided a very competitive bid and professional advice on best materials to use for our project. He was careful to ask age of the house and whether any lead paint had been previously applied. Carlos and his entire crew were prompt and courteous and started & finished the job when promised. Carlos visited the job site daily to check on progress and quality of work. The crew kept a very clean and organized work site and put all materials away each day. Carlos and his crew were easy to work with and were willing to accommodate any request we had as the job progressed. The finished quality of the work was excellent and we would hire Carlos Mosquera again for any future painting needs.

This was an "Angie's Deal" so I don't know if the price is otherwise competitive. The deal was also poorly developed by Angies List because it said interior painting with a SF limitation. It did not say there would be no trim or ceilings painted. I paid extra to have the ceilings painted, but this was fine as I had expected I would have to pay an adjustment because these ceilings required repairs. The repairs were very well done. The crew was timely, clean, and pleasant.

This is the third time we have hired Carlos for exterior and interior paint jobs. He's very professional, prompt, accommodating, and offers competitive rates. Work was performed to our specifications and within the time frame we had stipulated. At the end of each work day, the crew did a nice job cleaning up and was careful not to disturb the plants and flowers around the house. Carlos is a very easy to work with, and gives great advice. I highly recommend him - we'll be sure to get him back for some interior painting next!

We chose Carlos Mosquera on the basis of the Angie's List recommendation. We received four written estimates -- all Angie's List recommended companies. While all four estimates came within several hundred dollars of each other, Carlos was the only one to offer a 10% Angie's List discount. While we did choose the low bid, price was not really the determining factor. Carlos' bid was more detailed than the others and he seemed more eager for our business. He proudly showed us examples of other homes he had painted and was reassuring about the work he would do for us. Carlos and his team greatly exceeded our expectations. He and his crew were meticulous and courteous. And as he promised, the quality of the work performed was superior. Carlos cheerfully responded to my small add-on requests and to questions about tasks performed. The extra work, not included in the contract, was performed quickly, skillfully, and without complaint. The extra work was most reasonably priced. Will I use Carlos again? Yes, without question! As a matter of fact, I have already hired him to paint a few interior rooms.

Carlos was quite professional and gave some good advice about painting choices. The crew did an outstanding job. They were quick and thorough and professional. Carlos was a little miffed when I pointed out a couple minor glitches at the end (like missing a bit inside a closet) but owned up to them and got them fixed right away. He has a strong accent so I was worried sometimes about whether he understood me but no problems there. His company seems quite busy, presumably because it does such a great job, but it did lead a couple times to his getting my instructions mixed up with that of his other concurrent jobs. It's important to make sure you're on the same page as he is and to check up. Bottom line, though, is that this company gave the best price and did an excellent job. I would definitely go back to this company for any further painting projects.

We had used Carlos Mosquera's company to paint the exterior of our home in the fall and were extremely satisfied with his work. So, when we were ready to paint the interior, we called him without hesitation. Carlos came to our home and provided us with a written estimate detailing all the work he would complete. We needed some flexibility in scheduling the job, and Carlos was very accommodating. Despite the fact that some of the wallpaper was extremely difficult to remove, the job was finished on time and to our complete satisfaction. All of Carlos's workers are extremely professional and courteous. We highly recommend Carlos Mosquera Painting; we are extremely pleased with his work.
