I did my homework and got estimates—Carlos' price was spot on! They agreed on my start date and they arrived on time, were courteous, professional and neat! The rooms look lovely! I'm very pleased!

Sadly, the story never unfolded because of a lack of response.

They were always punctual and very neat during the entire project (2 days). I was impressed with how careful they were to ensure all furniture and my floors were covered. I would not hesitate to use them again. As a matter of fact, when I finish some other home improvement projects, I will have them paint my kitchen, stairwell to the family room in addition to the family room. Highly recommend their services. Job Well Done!!!

Phenomenal. These guys came on time, did great prep, finished on time, cleaned up after themselves, used top grade paints, and did an exceptional job for a reasonable price. What more do you want? Highly recommended.

We first called Carlos when my husband tried his hand at painting a built in bookshelf and realized halfway through that he had taken on more than he could handle. Carlos came the next day to look at it, explained (kindly) what had gone wrong, and promised that he would be back the next day with one of his painters to make things right. Our doorbell rang the next morning a few minutes before 9 a.m. and from then on we just cleared out and let them do their thing. They sanded the whole case, primed areas that needed it, and repainted the entire thing - even fixing marks on the wall and ceiling that my husband had left and retouching a spot across the room that another painter had missed weeks ago. At around 5 p.m. they had cleaned up and were headed out - having saved the day and given us the bookshelf we'd always wanted. We've already got Carlos lined up for another job this weekend. He is definitely our go to painter from now on. Finds like him are what makes Angie's List truly great.

I called the company on June 14 to get an estimate and was pleasantly surprised that a rep said he could come out the next morning between 8:30 and 9 a.m. to give me one. He called the next morning at 8:05 and said his car broke down and he couldn't make it. I understood and didn't fault him for it. He came the next morning on time, took some basic info in his notebook and said Carlos would email me a proposal himself. I waited a week, expecting to hear something (anything!), before calling back (on June 23). I reached Carlos and he apologized. He said his computer was broken and in the shop. I offered to take a verbal estimate. He said he'd have his computer back soon and would send something "today or tomorrow." I said that if he couldn't send the estimate, just call and let me know there would be a further delay. (I would've been fine with a verbal estimate.) A week later, I still haven't heard back. A company doesn't seem to have its operations set up to track basic tasks like an estimate doesn't inspire much confidence.

Carlos responded with a bid promptly. He was not the lowest bid, but he included two coats of paint which others did not. When I told him that he had the job on a Thursday, he sent his crew to start the work the following Monday. They spent days on prep work, power washing, scraping, caulking and sanding. They identified rotted wood and replaced it, then primed the new wood and applied two coats of high quality paint to all surfaces. The crew (4-5 painters and carpenter) were professional, courteous and punctual. Carlos paid attention to the work being done and pointed out other items that he could do to improve our home, at no additional charge. We will always use Carlos and his crew in the future for any paint job, exterior of interior.

Started out great finished in the same manner terrific

Carlos came out for an estimate the day after I first called, allowed me to name the date I wanted his crew to start, and they showed up 100% on time both days they painted. The quality of the work was excellent. I also got a significant discount on the paint (Benjamin Moore) at the local paint store by mentioning Carlos' name. I would recommend Carlos' crew for any interior painting job.

The overall experience was a very positive one. Carlos is responsive to your needs and concerns. His men are very professional and courteous. I met Carlos about two years ago when I received three quotes to do the house back then. His was the lowest. I knew that I would call him now that I was ready. His ratings on Angie's list were still high two years later. I thought how could I go wrong by choosing him? I couldn't go wrong and I didn't go wrong by choosing him.. I would highly recommend CARLOS MOSQUERA PAINTING INC. He did a great job at a good price. In addition, personally interacting with Carlos is always a pleasure.

The whole experience couldn't have been easier. I called Carlos one afternoon, and he and his son happened to be nearby giving someone else an estimate. They came within a half hour and looked at the house. The next day Carlos emailed me the estimate, and we scheduled the job for the following week. I had to be out of town the day of the job, but they didn't mind at all. According to my neighbor, they came and put tarps over the cars parked in front of the house (the front of which sits right off the sidewalk). Carlos came toward the end of the day to check on the job. It turned out great. They did a very meticulous, professional job. The cost of the paint was included in the estimate. All I had to do was email Carlos the colors. He prefers to use Duration paint from Sherwin-Williams. S-W has a very useful website that allows you to upload a picture of your house and see how it looks with any of their colors. I just picked the colors and sent Carlos the numbers.

All 4 - 5 members of the crew were skilled, courteous, and work-oriented. They were meticulous about preparation--scraping, priming, caulking, etc. They also repaired or replaced several shingles of wood siding that were broken. Two coats of high-quality paint were applied. The work was completed promptly, and the crew was neat--leaving no mess. The price wasn't "low bid," but we selected the firm because of comments by other reviewers and other reference checks including BBB. The company is highly reliable. Bottom line: we got our money's worth.

Carlos came by to look at the work the same day I phoned. I had the estimate by the next day. His estimate was a little higher than one other I had gotten, but with his 10% Angie's List discount, the final figure came in lower than the other. Work was started within a few weeks. They did a wonderful job. We had recently purchased this 60 year old wood frame house that probably hadn't been painted in 15-20 years so there was a lot of peeling paint and rotten facia - a big job. The crew powerwashed first and then scraped and scraped and scraped and sanded for days. They did an excellent repair of damaged areas. They primed and painted-I think they ended up doing 3 coats of finish, put up the shutters, and the house looks great. They had to wait a few weeks for the shutters I ordered to arrive, but Carlos was very patient and did not want me to pay the final installment until they were put up. A very pleasant experience.

I highly recommend Carlos an his crew(s) if you are looking for professional, punctual and very talented painters! I called Carlos for an estimate and he was able to meet with me within a day or two. When I received his quote I had a couple of questions so I e-mailed him and he was very prompt in responding, Then another evening I was emailing him some more questions and he was on his way home so he stopped by to answer them in person. I was very impressed!! Then after I picked out all my colors he met with me for a third time to finalize the quote. Carlos and his crew then started two weeks later on the date I requested and arrived on time with a crew of 4. The first day went very well and before they left they were careful to cleaned up and stored all their tools, equipment etc. nice and neat before leaving which was a blessing for us because we have two young children. The second day went much like the first and I could tell that I was going to be very happy but I was concerned because the third day was going to be a Saturday and the whole family would be home but I needed Carlos to continue because I didn't want to take too much time off of work. So when Carlos arrived Saturday morning he arrived with 9 painters including a carpentry person who created our shadow boxes and said the job would be done by the end of the day. Well I was ecstatic because I didn't have to take another day off of work. So they worked all day and finished the job and I could not have been happier. This was a very big job and they finished it in three days. I was also very nervous about the shadow boxes because I left it up to them to design the boxes and I was so pleased when I saw them I could not believe it (I am not easy to please). We will be hiring Carlos later this year for some exterior painting and if funds allow to finish a section of our basement for a playroom. He and his crews were AWESOME and I can't wait to work with them again.

Couldn’t be happier! First off, I am a difficult consumer. I like to change my mind, can’t tolerate incompetence and, most importantly, need to feel like I got my money’s worth. My primary reason for selecting Carlos Mosquera Painting was because of the many favorable reviews found here and, needless to say, they are all true. As mentioned, the job was to paint my recently purchased 2 bedroom condominium. I had chosen 15 different colors, lots of accent walls, this was not a simple job. Also, the unit is 25 years old and had at one time been a rental apartment, so the drywall is was in rough shape already with numerous coats of paint. After contacting Carlos, he scheduled an appointment on short notice and showed up on time. We talked for about 30 minutes on the details, we agreed because of the many colors I would purchase the paint – but I could use his discount at the Benjamin Moore store. He e-mailed an estimate that evening. I e-mailed back a couple questions and he responded back quickly. His estimate was slightly higher than someone who was personally recommended to me, but, as mentioned, I chose Carlos because of the numerous favorable reviews. After contacting the Benjamin Moore store, there was some confusion about getting the paint at a discounted price. But after e-mailing Carlos, a sales representative from the main office called me within minutes, apologized and diffused all concerns. The staff at the store was very helpful and patient. Carlos also offered to pick-up and deliver the paint. Carlos and three painters arrived exactly as scheduled, very professional appearance and demeanor. We went through all the details again and they went to work immediately. I’d changed some of the details and asked for a couple extra items to be painted. It was very clear from the beginning that Carlos was going to do whatever it took to make me a happy customer. Every time I asked for something extra, it was “yes, no problem”. My first impression of the crew was so positive; I had no problem leaving them a key so they could come-and-go at will. I hadn’t moved in yet, and I needed to be elsewhere, so it was very convenient that I didn’t need to be there to let them in-or-out. After the first day, many of the difficult areas had at least a first coat, but there were a couple spots they had missed patching which I’d planned on mentioning the next day. However when I arrived, they were already there – working on those same areas and applying a second coat. Needless to say, my input wasn’t needed. And again, I made a few changes for which they had no complaint. The crew had also grown to 4 people. It’s also worth noting everyone on the crew appeared to be a very experience painter. They seemed to get right to work, knew exactly what to do, and wasted very little time. They also helped carry-in an extremely large delivery I’d been expecting. By that evening, most all the work was completed. They had removed and reinstalled without incident everything near the work areas (curtains, mirrors, blinds, outlet covers). There wasn’t a drop of paint out of place anywhere. Corners with two colors coming together had perfect seams. The last day they finished applying a second coat where needed, fixed a few areas which were still a little rough, and completed the remaining trim work on the baseboards. The job was completed several hours ahead of time. Carlos showed up on time for us to settle up. I was perfectly happy, though I mentioned some concern over one of my color choices on a small wall. He offered to have it painted another color, but I thought it best to give it a try. In summary, I highly recommend Carlos. His crew is very professional, punctual and finished on time. Most notably, they were very flexible in dealing with the several changes I added and the price was reasonable.

It was one of the Angie's List deals. He did an excellent job. He comes in the morning and focuses on making sure his client feels comfortable with the work that is going to be done and how it's going to be done. He comes back and checks up on his painters. His painters are very respectful and quiet. They did a really good job. They really took care in doing the prep work. I felt very comfortable having them in my house. He also painted the doors and he did a really good job. The doors were ugly, stained hollow core doors from the 70s. His team sanded and painted them and made them look like plain, unremarkable, white doors. They really did a very nice job on that.

Carlos's bid was several hundred dollars below others we received. Carlos was very accommodating and responsive and easily reached by cell phone. I'd suggest a bit more attention to detail. After the original estimate, Carlos and I agreed on a price for some minor additions, but I did not receive an amended estimate or final bill reflected the changes, which would have been helpful. His workers usually arrived within an hour of scheduled time, which could be an issue for those on a tight schedule, and their limited English (and my much worse Spanish) sometimes made communication a challenge. But all in all, this was a very positive experience and I'd certainly recommend Carlos and his staff. The crew were careful, efficient, friendly and did high quality work.

Carlos' crew of 3 men came promptly at the time he stated . They covered anything that needed protection with tarps and proceeded to sand , fill in holes and even replaced a small section of molding that was chewed up by my dog for no extra charge. Their work was impeccable and everyone including Carlos was extremely professional and courteous. We will be hiring Carlos and his team again to do more interior painting.

Carlos Mosquera arrived on time for the initial estimate. I found him to be very sincere and forth right. Carlos gave a clear estimate and the start date when he can start the work. On the scheduled day Carlos and his workers arrived exactly at the time when they said they will come. In three days they finished work with excellent results. Carlos also installed a new storm door for me (I bought the door) without charging anything extra. Hiring Carlos for the painting job was a very pleasant experience. I will definitely recommend him for my friends. I am also planning to hire Carlos for interior painting, probably next year.

Other contractors took several days to email the proposal and estimate. I called him and he was able to provide an immediate start day. The project took only a few hours. There is no sign of the previous hole in the ceiling. The drywall and painting look perfect.
