Carlos was courteous and accountable from the start. He returned my calls promptly and got the work done when he said he would do it. I was very satisfied with the quality of the work.

The project was a tough one due to having to place the drywall 20 feet vertically and across the ceiling. But Carlos and his team were able to determine the best way to accomplish the job. They have a large team and were able to commit up to 5 workers during the critical stages of the project. They disconnected the lighting and smoke detectors to perform the work thoroughly and replaced everything perfectly when they left. When it came time to paint, Carlos provided us with a number of Benjamin Moore paint options. The paint job was excellent! From start to finish, the job took 5 days (including a Saturday that was not billed at any overtime rates) Carlos and his team were very professional and courteous. Most importantly, they did great work and it looks like we have a completely new house, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

The results were excellent....no other way to describe it. Fermin did most of the estimating and oversaw the day to day work. The entire crew.....we had as many as 7 workers here at one time....was absolutely professional, patient, and absolute gentlemen. We had to have some major dry wall repair which was also done expertly. About 4 to 6 weeks after the work was completed....a couple of hairline cracks reappeared. We called Fermin and he had 2 workers back here within 2 days to do repairs.....no hassle whatsoever. I highly recommend without any reservation that Carlos Mosquero Painting be used. I could not imagine hiring anyone else.

Excellent service! Everyone was on time and the painters did a great job. The results far exceeded my expectations. I met them at 8:30AM, showed and explained the job, departed for work, and then returned to review the work when they called me saying the job was complete. Great job, I highly recommend.

Working around several cancellations due to rain; Carlos's team were punctual and professional. When I was dissatsified with the appearance of satin poly on the doors, they redid with a glossy finish. During the same visit, my front portico which had been painted earlier, got a second coat when Carlos cast a critical eye on previous work. They were agreeable about painting additional details (relatively minor) which had not been specified in the contract. Carlos even came back to caulk, himself, a small area on my deck door trim which had been missed.A very agreeable experience. I would definitely recommend. Note that some of the workers need more specific instructions due to speaking Spanish primarily.

They were very professional and did a good job. It took longer than expected, but in the end we were very satisfied. My wife is kind of picky and was pleased. So when she's pleased then that's the stamp of approval.

They came promptly to give the estimate. After I paid the 33% deposit, they scheduled the work quickly, came punctually and did an excellent job! I am completely pleased. Fast, friendly, professional service.

It was the Friday before the Memorial Day weekend. I needed some painting done quickly in preparation for an appraisal the following week. I tried contacting 2 other contractors but got voicemail and no call back. I joined Angie's List and found this contractor in my area. He answered the phone (no voicemail!) and set up an appointment for the next morning (Saturday) to give an estimate. He scheduled the work for Monday (the holiday observation day). This allowed me to keep my appraisal appointment. The 2 workers arrived promptly on Monday morning and were very courteous and professional. When the work was completed they cleaned up and put everything back in order.

They were the first to respond and provide an estimate. They came in the lowest of three estimates by far. There was some confusion over the wording of the estimate and subsequent e-mails seeking clarification. The estimator (Fermin) was clear but the actual estimate and follow up e-mails, not so much. The three painters were diligent and did excellent, neat work. The cleaned up very well at the end of each day. The owner (Carlos) was pleasant enough but we saw him only when collecting the checks.

Wonderful experience. Carlos provided a very reasonable estimate quickly and was able to start work within days. Very professional crew, paid attention to details, neat and cleaned up when complete with no damage to flower beds. Would definitely use them again.

Carlos and his crew were amazing. Not only were they responsible and professional but they did a fantastic job on our ipe deck. They power-washed the entire deck on one day and then came back 2 days later when it had dried fully to clean and stain. We also called a few days later to ask for an additional coat on the outside portion of the deck and they arrived on Saturday (the next day). Carlos was always on the job making sure the work was done to our satisfaction. Thank you.

Contacted Carlos Mosquera Painting while visiting my mother in Washington DC. I live in California so it is very difficult to get quotes and complete a painting project in a one or 2 week visit. Used Angie’s list and contacted Mosquera Painting via email. He sent and estimator and sent me a quote by email in a less than 2 days. Carlos Mosquera Painting has been a wonderful company to work with; the reasons are 1) Quote came attached with bonding, workers comp and liability insurance information along with 3 references. References when contacted were very positive. It was wonderful to have all of that information provided with the quote. 2) Estimator called when delayed by about 15 minutes on very a rainy day 3) Very accommodating to working with me (who lives in California) for work on the Washington DC house my elderly, widowed mother (89) resides in. 4) Responded promptly to all my email requests in clarifying the scope of work 5) Was agreeable to having a male neighbor inspect work for me since my mother is elderly and not experienced with monitoring contractors. (My father used to do that) In the past many contractors have taken advantage of her by doing incomplete work. 6) In spite of frequent rains during the scheduled week they proceeded to fit in the work around the scant clear periods 7) I sent photos of the paint colors and work was completed in the estimated time 8) Mosquera assigned 4 men to the job which was rather small (about $2000). This helped in getting the job completed quickly and minimized the time the porch could not have foot traffic... 9) Mr. Mosquera himself came by to do the final inspection with my mother and my neighbor. 10) He was very respectful of my mother. 11) My mother also appreciated that his men were dressed professionally in white coveralls. 12) His pricing was extremely competitive based on 3 other quotes I received. He applied the Angie’s list discount to my quote 13) I would definitely use him again and recommend him to others.

Of the 4 quotes I received, Carlos? quote was not only the lowest, it was easily the most comprehensive and professional, including not only a very specific listing of the work to be done (scraping, caulking, and painting), the colors to be used, and even the brand of paint they would use (!), but also copies of his insurance, business license and workman's compensation documents. The workmen were prompt, pleasant, and professional, and went above and beyond, and without being asked, they fixed a gutter problem that I had been unable to fix myself. Carlos even gave me some good advice on an interior painting project that I was working on myself. The work site was cleaned up at the end of every day, and everything was cleaned up and put back in place at the end of the job. They even came to work on a holiday to finish the job, since the painting had been delayed a couple of days due to rain. I was very satisfied with the work from start to finish, and I would highly recommend Carlos Mosquera Painting, and use them again without hesitation. CONs: Carlos is not a native English speaker, but we were able to communicate effectively both in person and over email. His crew, however, spoke very little English. Be sure to tell Carlos about any special needs before the work begins, so he can communicate it clearly to his crew. Once they know what you want, they are very happy to comply.

These guys are great! They did a professional job, finished all work in one day and even worked on memorial day! Carlos was very receptive to working us in to his very busy schedule since we have a baby on the way and wanted the work done before the new arrival. The top angies list ranking is well deserved.

The quality of the work was excellent and our family room has never looked better (or as good). The fact that Carlos and his team are all likable individuals and nice to work with added to the pleasure of the experience.Thank you Carlos for a fully professional, first-rate job at a very competitive price. They were great in responding quickly to my request for an estimate. Fermin was on time and he quickly assessed the area and told me they did not deal with elecrtical work and we need to call an electrician to deal with the plugs that was on their way of opening the wall. He said he will send me an estimate which I received in a day or so after our initial meeting. Their price was good and I decided to go with them. They gave me a start date approx. 2-3 weeks later and I was OK with that. The day they had told me they'll start work they showed up early in the morning and were ready to start. As we were talking about the opening of the wall I noticed couple of air ducts on the wall which Fermin had not noticed on the day he came to give an estimate. At that point Fermin told me that they will not deal with re routing the ducts because that's not part of what hey do and I have to call an air/heat company to deal with them I was a little disappointed . Trutfully at that point I was apprehensive about letting them open up a bearing wall. In my mind, I was questioing their skill set and whether they will be able to handle the job. How could someone whose job is this kind of work not mention or address air ducts when you are giving an estimate to open up a wall in a nolder home? Well, with the help of my husband and the guy who works for Fermin and Carlos we figured out a solution. The guy (I am sorry I can't remember his name) was extremely helpful unfortunately he hardly spoke english but he did a great job in helping my husband figure things out, he did the opening, framing and installing the window. We have plaster walls and because they had to break the walls dust ended up everywhere.. I just wished they had been a little more careful about closing their work area so dust would not spread. He also did a fantastic job with painting the cabinets. All together I am extremely satisfied with their final work and highly recommend them.

The workmanship was good However - his crew was very accommodating and friendly - I even bought them lunch The owner - Carlos - had a big attitude from start to finish - in the end although his crew did a very good job - he lost my points and possible future business. 1.Our contract explicitly stated that the rooms could be different colors but while I was not there he complained to my wife that he typically paints only one color. 2.I asked him to paint the trim on the recessed lights - two cans of spray paint (~$15) would have done the job - he refused. 3.Did not paint completely behind the toilet commode - when I asked him - he told me that he has left the paint and I could do it 4.I told Carlos *VERY CLEARLY* that I will pay him AFTER I personally inspect his work when I got home from work - he happily agreed over the phone. But in the end he seemed very p***** that he had to wait for me to get home to inspect the work so that I could pay him. Made a few comments as to why I did not "trust" him and that he was a very busy man 5.In the end although the work was good - his un professional behavior left a bad taste.

I called and left a message on a Saturday and received a call back on the following Monday. A representative came out on a date we agreed on for an estimate. He showed up as we agreed, and he took down the information. That evening, Carlos emailed me a full estimate with all his company's information (references, licenses) and a proposal for the work with a deposit for a third of the full amount. We agreed on a time to do the work, and I signed and mailed the proposal back with the paint and stain colors I wanted him to use for both jobs. Both the pressure washing, the deck staining, and the paint removal/painting of the front steps took only two days. All areas were cleaned and free of debris. Although the guys didn't pressure wash the patio as we had agreed, all I had to do was email Carlos and he sent his men out on the first rain-free day and they pressure washed the patio, but also washed a walkway and the steps leading down to the basement for free. Once we were satisfied with the work, I mailed him a check for the balance. I was very satisfied with the work from start to finish, and I would recommend Carlos Mosquera Painting and use him again without hesitation.

Called Carlos for an estimate and he came by that afternoon. We described the scope of the job. He kept asking questions until he was absolutely sure he knew what we wanted. The Saturday of the job his crew showed up at 8:30 am. We were supplying the paint for the project because I was very particular about the colors. Within 4 1/2 hours they had prepped the walls and ceiling (which is textured and a pain to paint) and completed painting. They applied two coats of a dark color on a high ceiling wall. They applied two coats of paint to the ceiling and painting an overhang wall. The work was done very nicely, the crew was professional and hard working. I would definitely use they again.

Contractor didn't turn up at to provide the estimate, and didn't even call to cancel, provide explanation, etc. If you can't turn up for an appointment to give a quote, what chance is there the work could be conducted in a timely fashion?

Carlos arrived within minutes of my initially calling him to give me an estimate. He was wonderful to work with and sent me the written estimate by email shortly thereafter. His crew arrived promptly, worked cleanly and quickly, and were polite and respectful of our home and privacy. Because I had worked with a color consultant to pick my paint colors, I had left detailed instructions for painting. Carlos ordered and picked up all the paints and his crew followed my instructions exactly regarding which paint went where. The lines were nearly perfect and they left no messes or drops. I'd recommend them to anyone.

The two painters areived on Tuesday morning, as promised, and had the job completed the next afternoon. We gave the paint colors to Carlos the week before the work was done. I had to guess on the color for the ceiling and got it wrong; when they painted over the repair area it was darker than the existing color. The painter told me that he thought it was "clamshell white" and would have Carlos bring some when he stopped by at the end of the job. I told him that if it didn't match I would have them paint the whole ceiling in the dining room/living room/entrance. When Carlos came by at the finish of the job he had the paint and it was a match, so we didn't have to have the whole ceiling painted. We didn't get charged for the extra gallon of paint and they left all of the paint with us so we can do additional touch-ups as needed. I could not have hung the quilt, rug, and print - they were on a stairwell and the quilt and rug had to each be secured by two screws placed 4 feet apart over 12 feet above the steps. We are very pleased with the job and how it was accomplished.

I needed this paint job done rather quickly. Carlos's people came out right away to give me an estimate. After I accepted the offer, they came out 3 days later to start the job. They sent a large grew, who were very friendly and they finished the job in 3 days. In the middle of painting, I requested a color change and they obliged with no problem. I was totally satisfied with their work. This is a very customer service oriented company.

Carlos and crew did an excellent job and Carlos pointed out that certain work I thought needed to be done can wait even though it meant less work for this particular project. From our initial meeting I knew that Carlos took pride in the quality of the work that would be performed and his quoted price was very reasonable. It was one of the more pleasant home projects we have experienced and recommend them without reservation.

I solicited 3 quotes for this painting job, and selected Carlos because of the professionalism of his estimator, and the obvious attention to detail and responsiveness, as well as the fact that his price was very competitive. The painting was completed in a very professional manner, with no issues. We are very happy with this contractor, and plan to use him for future interior and exterior jobs.
