Carlos's estimate was the most expensive of all of my estimates, however, I think he's (his crews) the most meticulous and thorough with the repair and carpentry work done on the house using PVC window trims and boards. It was a lots of carpentry work to repair/replace rotted window trims, sills, door jamb, fascia boards, corner boards (where the gutters are nailed to). It took Carlos's crew about one and half week to complete the job (2 bookend weekends and one and half full week days) - partly due weather and partly Carlos was splitting the carpenters' time on another job site.

Punctual and polite from initial call, through quote process, paint job and invoicing. Mr. M. Painted an area that was left natural wood when we said we wanted it painted before collecting the payment. Very nice.

I had comparable prices, but I chose Carlos because of my last experience with him, his references,knowledge and professionalism. It turned out to be worth every penny. The work started and ended on schedule. The Painters were polite, very professional. Since they were the same painters that worked at my house last year, I had no problem leaving them alone in the house. This time they worked in the master bedroom and seating area. They moved all the furniture, put up plastic sheets everywhere to contain the dust and paint , and cleaned up after themselves. They did a great job. I am very, very pleased with their work!

The work was terrific. They started when they promised, finished when they promised, and did quality work at a good price.

We decided to do this job very late in the year; time was of the essence. Five companies were invited to quote, but three of them backed away from the job--looked like too much work. Of the two which did bid, Mosquera was clearly the only one who could get the job done before the serious cold weather arrived. And his bid was lower than the other fellow's. Four guys spent a week and a half on scraping and sanding, just to get ready to paint. Including taking down wooden storm windows and preparing them. Some of these had been screwed into place for 40 years. When the paint and primer did go on, the results were beautiful. Mosquera Painting did work beyond what their contract required, and guaranteed it for five years. They got the job done before the season's worst weather arrived, and we're grateful!

Very well! Estimate was done quickly and was very competitive. They did everything we asked. There was an issue with overpaintng on radiators and they fixed problem expertly without delay or any extra cost. The work was done very well with high quality paint and workmanship.

They did an overall great job with much attention to detail. I would definitely use them again. Carlos Mosquera was very easy to work with and his timing was flexible to accommodate my schedule.

I used this company in the past having found them highly rated on Angie's List to paint my 2 story foyer including high ceilings and lots of crown and wains coat molding. They did such a great job that I didn't hesitate to use them again. I just replaced all the floors in my house with unfinished wood floors and replaced my kitchen cabinets and countertop with high quality material. I was freaking out because I didn't want any paint drops on those surfaces. They covered everything with thick paper and plastic and were very neat. Because we couldn't take any time off from work, they came on Sat and Sun. Four painters came on Sat and 8 painters came on Sun to finish the job. They painted the ceilings, walls, tons of windows, doors, and molding including thick ceiling and dining room chair rail molding. They had to take out many, many window grills and didn't break one. Each window cleaner company I used in the past has broken my grills so I was impressed. I recently had my gas fireplace serviced and the plumber expressed how impressed he was with the paint job and even asked who the painters were. Carlos and his crew had a huge job to do, they completed it in record time, and their work exceeded my expectations.

He did a very good job. I had one spot that needed some attention and he went above and beyond. I would recommend him to anybody; I already mentioned him to my neighbor. He also was able to give me some options on one particular troublesome spot.

From start to finish - everything went fantastic! I have used Carlos in the past and have always been impressed with his knowledge, ability and professionalism. We had to move the work date because of Sandy, but Carlos worked with me to select another date that would work for me - and it did. His crew arrived on the day/time and went right to work. They did a fantastic job. They even went over and above what was expected to make sure that the work was the best. Now my house looks the best on the block! I was really impressed with the job done in the amount of time guaranteed.

Mr. Mosquera's agent, Furmin, came to the home on time as scheduled and asked me a few appropriate questions about what I wanted done. He was polite, professional and appeared knowledgeable about the work. That same day, Mr. Mosquera emailed a copy of the work proposal. It was convenient to receive the information in email and it was clearly written; however, it was not as detailed as I would have preferred. For example, I replied requesting cost breakdowns for each line item as well as statements regarding the proposed amount of time expected to complete the entire job, level of care the crew would use to ensure my surrounding property would not damaged during the job, and assurance that the entire area would be free of debris after the job was done. Ultimately, I was very disappointed with the pricing. While I realize I may not always pay the lowest price for quality work, Mr. Mosquera's estimate seemed honestly outrageous considering what needed to be done and in comparison to proposals from other companies. In his reply, Mr. Mosquera advised me the materials would be $1,500.00, but the total price on the proposal was $10,000.00 which suggested he was charging $8,000.00 for labor alone. Also, I researched all of the reviews in Angie's List for the year 2012 for Mosquera Painting and noticed most of the pricing for exterior painting was in the $1,500.00 to $3,000.00 range - and many of those projects included additional work such as carpentry and windows. The only cost that was higher than my proposal was for a house more than twice as large as mine (4600 sf) and even that price was only $2,000.00 more ($12,500.00). Additionally, that job included painting of the entire interior (all walls, all ceilings, all woodwork, all windows), power washing, and plastering. I was actually looking forward to working with the company, but very disappointed to receive the pricing and couldn't help but wonder if there was a mistake in my estimate of $10,000.00 for a 2092 sf house. The response I received from Mr. Mosquera was "You have to do other estimates with two or three companies, so you have an idea, and you stay with best price."

Spoke to Carlos by telephone. He sent out someone right away to do an estimate. He even came back a second time to answer other questions I had. Weather permitting, the job was started right away. We were amazed how much better the deck looked after power washing. The first coat of stain turned out to give an uneven appearance. I called Carlos and he sent two men over the next dry day to apply a second coat. We are very pleased with how well the job turned out. Would definately hire Carlos and Team again.

He was excellent. They were efficient and moved the furniture without any damage. I would use him again.

This company presented as very professional, estimate was very detailed and professional. Staff was polite, on time and worked steadily, however, the quality of the work left much to be desired. It was not totally unacceptable, but was definitely a second-rate job. I would not recommend them and I would not have them work for me again.ed

They were outstanding. They were always on time and their pricing was very reasonable for the work they did.Also their estimate was very clearly written unlike alot of other contractors. They also completed the job on time and we loved the end result.

A+ for Carlos and his crew. This job turned out to be much more difficult than originally estimated due to the removal of two layers of old wallpaper. The old wallpaper removal required meticulous and patient hand work which the company performed amazingly well. Carlos added crew members to the job plus devoted an extra day to the effort. Nevertheless, he honored our original contract cost. The results were outstanding.

Excellent result. We had hired Carlos to do some exterior painting last February, and decided to hire him for this interior work because of the outstanding work done previously. Fermin, the estimator came right away and assessed the job, and Carlos e-mailed a quote the next day. I had obtained three quotes for the job, including Carlos', and Carlos was the clear winner, both in terms of price and understanding the job. The work was scheduled right away, and Carlos came with three workers. Because of the nature of the work, Carlos needed to create a match for the paint color, two different shades. The work was done very professionally in one day, with very little fuss. Protective coverings were placed over furniture, and the workers took great care in protecting the surroundings. The end result was simply outstanding. We will hire Carlos Mosquera for all our painting needs in the future.

I received a response to my email request for an estimate/scheduling option the same evening. The email asked me to provide a phone number and said that I'd receive a call ASAP. I never received a call or any additional communication.

Nice guys. worked quickly, and got the job done on time. A few spots were not sanded well and the paint was not always done well there were a couple spots where you could see the color under the light coat of paint. The dry wall was not always flush up against the wall in all places. I would use these guys if you are not picky. But it you are picky, you may want someone else. I thought the work was alright and the price was very good.

We have no complaints. Carlos has a very positive, can-do attitude and he made sure his workers did an excellent job.

Carlos and his team were great! Carlos showed up as promised to provide a quote, and promptly provided his quote via email. He also pro-actively included copies of his business license, workman's comp and liability insurance policies. His was one of 3 quotes we received. It was the most thorough and lowest priced (although our decision to hire him was not based solely on price). Work was scheduled to begin 3 weeks from our acceptance of the contract and expected to take a week to perform. Due to the amount of trim that needed replacement, and the extensive amount of sanding and prep work required, the job actually took 2 weeks. Carlos' crew showed up everyday and worked hard in the hot July sun. We appreciated that they didn't cut corners to get to the next job, and that they did high quality carpentry and prep work. When it was time to make the final payment, Carlos didn't want to increase his invoice to cover the additional time required by his crew or the materials (which was nearly double what they expected to replace!). We added $200 to his invoice (for materials) for which he was very thankful. Overall an excellent experience and high value for the price charged.

I was impressed with Carlos from the very start. He answered the phone right away, arranged for a staff member to come out for an estimate the next day, that person arrived on time and was very professional. The next day I got a very nice follow up email from Carlos containing a detailed estimate. We made arrangements for the start date of the job and Carlos and the crew arrived very promptly. The work took even less time then estimated and exceeded my expectations. The house looks amazing and I was so pleased with how personally involved Carlos was in the job from start to finish. He obviously takes great pride in his business and the customer service is top notch. I can't say enough about how great he was to work with and will definitely contact him again when we need other painting work done!

Carlos was great to work with. He was very responsive and willing to accommodate my schedule and wishes. He knows his profession. I had a great crew to work with. Same group of painters every day. They arrived when they told me they would. They went right to work. Each had a great work ethic! They moved any furniture that needed to be moved, put down drop cloths, prepared the walls and painted. They were clean and neat. They picked up after themselves. At the end of each day, they cleaned up, picked up all trash, put their tools in one place and departed. Each of the painters were very professional, nice, and hard workers. There was no sitting around, excess talking, etc. It was a big job, the painters knew it, and they got it done. I requested that all the rooms in the house be painted within a week and they hit their deadline. Fantastic Job well done.
