Carlos Mosquera Painting Inc

I selected Mr. Mosquera's company from Angie's List because of the high ratings previous clients had given. I didn't see the need to get estimates. I wanted a professional, highly recommended company; Mosquera Painting fit the bill exactly. Mr. Mosquera responded to my first phone call immediately. He was at the house to give an estimate exactly at the time I requested. He was very knowledgable and very polite. He sent the proposal via email quickly with the two possibilities we discussed. Included with the proposal were documents showing the company's workers' compensation insurance, dishonesty insurance, liability and home improvement insurance and the Maryland construction firm license. It was a complete professional package. I called all four references Mr. Mosquera included in the proposal. Each person responded to my call with praise and confident recommendations. We returned the contract quickly and set a date to start the job. Though our timing was initially very tight, Mr. Mosquera wisely advised us to wait for the weather to warm up to at least 50. Our erratic March weather supplied three, non-consecutive days with nearly 60 degree temperatures enabling Mr. Mosquera's very hard-working painters to get the job done over two weeks. Mr. Mosquera sent email messages and updated me about painting days frequently. As the March weather changed, plans changed but always with timely communication from him. Mr. Mosquera arrived at the start of each painting day to be sure the project was moving ahead smoothly. On day one, two painters came inside to move furniture very carefully away from the windows (I had moved small items from tables, windows and counters). The painters then removed all the storm windows and screens very carefully, arranging them under the windows in each room to make re-installing them easy. When that job was done, they began the exterior work. All work was done very neatly and with great care. Supplies were cleaned up completely. The painters asked permission to store the ladder in our backyard out of the way overnight. It was fine with us. The painters worked outside except when painting the front and back doors and reinstalling the storm windows. When the work was done, the painters made sure all the windows worked. We are very happy with the work done by Mosquera Painting. We would definitely call on Mr. Mosquera for other painting jobs. Based on the work he did here, we highly recommend Mosquera Painting Inc. Carlos was very responsive. His quote was substantially lower than the other two services we checked. He workers took great care in the job. In the course of the job, they realize that the wood frame to one of our windows had rotted out. They replaced without increasing the price. They did a fabulous, despite the long hours, of scrapping, priming, and painting the roof. We can't recommend them more highly.

The company was very responsive. The estimator came on a Saturday, and the crew finished painting my family room and kitchen six days later. With a 10% discount for Angie's List customers applied to my contract, I considered the price of work done to be a good value. The job required priming and painting over paneled walls and brown wood trim. New paint on the ceiling and the walls has brightened the outdated look of my family room. I was very pleased with results of the crew's workmanship, and I plan to use Carlos Mosquera Painting Inc. again for future jobs in my home.

I used Carlos and team on my personal unit and they did an amazing job prepping and painting. We went out for 3 bids and while the prices were similiar, Carlos really detailed the work to be preformed, explained the process and provided the most confidence. The building was in need of TLC and thats what Carlos delivered. They did an incredible job prepping, filling, sanding, etc then primed/painted well. Always cleaned up and all the team were personable/profesional. We made a few scope adjustments and Carlos was very fair with the price. We have decided to paint our exterior wrought irong and exterior. We have decided to use Carlos Mosquera again. Highly recommend them.

Carlos came to my home on Thursday 3/7 to estimate the work needing to be done. I needed my home painted within a very short time period. Carlos provided me with a detailed contract and all of the necessary insurance information and references within the hour. I made a few modifications to the contract. The work started Monday 3/11 and was completed on schedule Wednesday 3/13. The painting crew of 4 arrived every day on time.. Every morning, the owner Carlos would arrive to review and discuss the work to be done by the crew. A lead was assigned (Maricio), who himself was a very skilled painter and also performed quality control throughout the day. Each member of the team (Juan, Darwin, Jose) was very skilled - these guys have been painting for a long time and know what they're doing. They were meticulous and took care and pride in what they did. If there was any question as to how the final product would look, they put in the extra effort to do the job right. For instance, when the 1st coat of pain was applied over where the thick stencilling was removed, the outline of the original stencil came through - even though the wall was smooth. Rather than continuing to paint a 2nd coat over it, the wall was re-sanded again, re-primed and then re-painted. Final result - outstanding! Same for coverage of a stenciled 12 ft tree in my living room - would never know it was there. Although the contract specified 2 coats of paint, many of the rooms required 3-4 coats to cover the bold colors that existed; this extra work was done for the contracted price. I did not get nickel-and-dimed; the additional work was done at no extra cost. The crew performed the necessary work to make my home look great. At the end of each day Carlos returned to review the work and made sure everything was done to his satisfaction (which to my pleasant surprise, was a much higher standard than my own). In addition to the painting, at the start of the job the crew moved furniture and very carefully moved a very heavy but delicate sculpture. All of my belongings, floors, open shelving were covered. Upon completion of the work, they offered to move the furniture back - which I did not take advantage of given we are moving furniture throughout my home to stage it. They did move my heavy piano across my living room, which was much appreciated. When on the final day, they left my home you would never have known that they'd been there - the house was left neat, all trash was removed. Again I can not rave enough about the work done on my house. I should have done this years ago. They did such a great job, that I called them back to do more work on rooms that I didn't originally plan on painting. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PAINTING COMPANY - professional, prompt, work done at a very fair price, work done on schedule. Couldn't ask for more. Results OUTSTANDING!

My experience with Carlos and his crew was first rate from the initial contact. My call for an estimate was returned the same day and the estimator came out the next day. The estimator was very professional, listened well and offered good suggestions. He explained the company procedure, gave me an estimate for the numbers of days to complete the job and said I would have a bid the next day. I received the bid that same evening. A day or two later after having received bids from other painters I chose to accept the bid from Carlos. I called and left a message and my call was again returned promptly. I accepted the bid and the job was scheduled for two days later. The morning the job started the crew was on time! Carlos himself came as did the gentleman who did the estimate. They walked the crew, who would be doing the actual painting through the job with me so that we were all in agreement with what I wanted done. The crew who painted my home were also very professional as well as friendly. They did a very good job, moving, covering and protecting my furnishings and floors. They kept the residual mess to a minimum, which was impressive with all of the sanding that was done. I am very happy with my newly painted walls and trim! Aside from the great paint job I received, I am also impressed with the owner Carlos Mosquera. When Carlos sent my initial estimate he also included copies of his licenses and insurances. He was also present at my home multiple times, first thing in the morning when the crew arrived, mid day to check progress and the end of day to make sure all was well. I will definitely be using Carlos Mosquera painting in the future.

They were very flexible and able to come out with a couple guys to do the job immediately (as requested). They gave me a great price and were very neat. They called me before they came out and when almost done.

Carlos came with his worker. They were extremely neat and cleaned up afterwards; I never had to do a thing. They were extremely kind and polite. Their work was perfect and their cost was very reasonable. Great people and great job. I would have them any time and would highly recommend them without reservation.

Called Carlos about 1 week before I was closing on a home to schedule an appointment for an estimate. Fermin showed up on the evening of 2/26 at 6:30 pm and I showed him about 5 areas of the house that I wanted to get painted. I received an estimate back by 10 pm that evening. They broke out cost by area, so I could choose which areas of the house I wanted painted and if I wanted to paint the other areas later, I already had a quote in hand and it would be easy to bring them back in. I chose to complete 3 areas of the house and will bring them back for others. I accepted the contract early afternoon on 2/27 and emailed my paint color choices to him (they provide all material and use Benjamin Moore paints). They showed up the morning of 2/28 at 9 am and promptly began working. Carlos came in with his crew of 4 men. Carlos asked more detailed questions to help direct his crew, he dispersed them throughout the home and left them to work. Two were up in the bedroom, one in the family room and one in the kitchen. The one in the kitchen was very helpful and pointed out some additional areas he recommended to paint in order to properly match the other windows (which they completed without additional charge). As they found areas that weren't well done by previous painters, they showed them to me to make sure I was aware that they did not leave a mess or made mistakes. They were friendly and polite. Carlos returned close to 6 pm to check through the work. I was so happy with the work, I requested additional estimates on the outside of the house. His pricing was competitive and the Angie's list 10% discount was an added bonus. Overall, a great experience and will definitely use them again.

The price was good. They were efficient and the quality of the work was good. They protected my floors while they were working and sealed off the areas.

I found Mosquera Painting on Angies List. After reading the reviews, I visited their website and saw that they were running a special. After speaking to them and comparing the cost with a few competitors, I decided to hire Mosquera Painting. We had an initial consultation on the phone so they could understand my needs and then an in-person visit so we could finalize the details. I picked out the paint from Sherwin Williams previously and Mosquera offered to pick it up for me, which was a huge convenience. They showed up at the time they said they would and finished the job in one day. I would definitely hire them again!

They responded quickly to my request for a bid and were able to start the work the next week. They arrived promptly, carefully listened to my requests and asked follow up clarifying questions. They moved all of my furniture, covered it and painted in the two day time period as they stated. I returned at the end of the second day to a beautifully painted home with all the furniture and artwork back exactly where it was originally. The painting was done cleanly and professionally and they were a pleasure to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

The estimator came exactly on time. He was very pleasant and professional. I got the proposal that evening via email and it was very specific. When I accepted it [as it was MUCH cheaper than several other bids I got], they said they could start in a few days. A crew of 7 painters arrived at the appointed time, and the estimator was there as well to supervise the job. All the painters had been with the company for years and seemed like reliable men. I felt comfortable leaving them in my home while I ran errands. The project was finished in two days, as promised, and the painters did a beautiful job. Carlos came to inspect the job at the end. There had been a misunderstanding about one area that was to be painted, and even though the men thought they were finished, Carlos told them to break out the brushes and paint that area. When the crew left, the house did not show any signs that work had been done other than beautifully painted rooms: no trash, no damage, no mess.

From the initial estimate, which wasn't the hightest or lowest, to the final walk through with Carlos, the experience was professional and first class. The written estimate also included, State of Maryland Business license, State of Maryland Home improvement License, Home improvement and workers compensation insurance policy, Liability Insurance Policy, and a Employee Dishonesty Policy. They were prompt and came ready to work...a totally experienced crew..4 painters and a foreman. The foreman showed them what we wanted and left. The crew took over and didn't miss a beat. Later in the day Carlos, the owner, came to double check. It was a three day job and we couldn't be any more pleased.

Very prompt response to our request for an estimate. The person who did the estimate was patient and informative. Estimate included several options (replace entire ceiling or part of the ceiling, prime and paint or prime only). We received a detailed estimate within 24 hours, and after a few back-and-forth emails about final decisions, we set a date. The workmen appeared on time and completed the job in the predicted two days. They moved the heavy furniture, protected the rest of the house with plastic and cleaned up thoroughly after the job was finished. They did a beautiful job and I intend to contact them again in the future.

The completed job was fantastic. I work during the week and only have the weekends free. Carlos sent two teams of men in on a Saturday and completed painting both rooms in one day. They sanded the walls.Patched holes and cracks. Applied two coats of paint to walls and ceiling. Painted all the trim. Have used them before and will continue to do so in the future.

At the start, Carlos was promt with his estimate and also submitted all licensing documents and referrals. I got several other estimates but they were much higher and didn't provide any documents. Some contractors weren't interested in a small job, so gave extremely unreasonable estimates. He was very flexible when I made a few things, i.e., deciding to have the doors painted the same color as the walls vs the white trim. Carlos and his staff were wonderful. I will hire him again in the future and have recommended him to friends.

It went very well - workers were present every day until the work was finished and the quality and cooperativeness were excellent. Mr. Mosquera worked hard to complete the work before cold weather set in. Clean-up was excellent - there was no "aftermath" of their work except very nice-looking paint and wood replacement.

I called on Monday to schedule an estimate, and they sent out Fermin to do the estimate on Tuesday. I received the estimate on Wednesday and since I was in a hurry to get the job done and they had a crew available on Friday of the same week, I went with them (also they have an Angie's list discount). The work was completed on that Friday. The work was very good quality, and I only noticed a couple imperfections in edges to speak of. I would recommend this company if you need quality work done quickly and aren't searching for the minimum price.

In short, the job went very well and we are very pleased with the end result. Carlos Mosquera (owner) answer the phone personally and was at all times professional, friendly and helpful. He was always punctual and delivered as promised. The original estimate was for $1500 and did not include the replacement of the side trim. However, during the estimate, he did point out areas that looked to be potentially rotten and candidate for replacement. We agreed that the original estimate would assume no trim replacement would be needed - wishful thinking on my part. We discussed the number of coats; I originally wanted 2 but, Carlos explained that with quality paint one would be sufficient (and cheaper). I agreed; my window for repainting is about 5 years. Only time will tell. He arrived with his crew on the agreed upon date (moved once due to weather) for what was to be a one day job. As they prepared the wood they discovered significant rotten wood. They exposed it all and provided an estimate to replace it with PVC material of $600. I agreed and they returned the next day with the materials to complete the job. The crew was professional and courteous at all times. Carlos checked in frequently during the job. The work areas were cleaned up very well. There was a small out of the way piece of rotted trim that the crew had missed. I notified Carlos and the piece was replaced and painted . . . on a Sunday. I was very happy with their work and would recommend them and use them again.

Carlos painted our chimney cap. he was pleasant and prompt. he did good quality work, we are very happy with the results. we will definitely call him when we need additional painting.

Carlos painted my kitchen cabinets and did a wonderful job. I had solicited quotes from two other companies on Angies -- one was more than twice Carlos' price, and the other said he didn't do cabinets. Carlos gave me a very good price, included an Angies' discount, and scheduled the work promptly. Carlos and the painters showed up on time as promised, and completed the work in two days, again as promised. I highly recommend Carlos Mosquera.

After tearing down fake wood paneling in our dining room, we found partially removed wallpaper, crumbling plaster and exposed lath. All four walls were in terrible condition. Carlos Mosquera and team gave us a prompt estimate and could start work the next day. "They did an amazing job" is an extreme understatement if you could see the condition of our walls before they came in. They removed plaster in some areas (that were beyond repair) and replaced with drywall. In other areas they patched the plaster. They removed the old wallpaper, and made all walls perfectly clean and smooth. Last they primed and painted in the color of my choice (paint and painting service included in the price. as well as ceiling). The room looks beautiful and I couldnt be more happy with the work that they did. We will certainly be contacting them again to work on our kitchen, living room and upstairs.
