We contacted Carlos after reading the many great reviews of his company on Angie's List. We were looking for a reliable, but also affordable, painting company to come out and complete a project that was too big for us to handle ourselves. We had hoped to schedule painting within a month or two, but we were very pleasantly surprised when Carlos told us he could schedule in a few days. Carlos also came in considerably under the estimates of his next two closest competitors. Carlos arrived in person on the first day to introduce himself and his crew of 5, instruct the crew on what we wanted painted, and to make sure that everything was ready to go. The crew did an amazing job, and went above and beyond by not only patching picture holes, but also sanding spots on the wall that I wouldn't have noticed had they passed up. It really made all the difference. The paint job was professionally done, the lines were crisp, the coverage was great, and the house looks stellar. Carlos was very accommodating with our requests. We were very specific about the brand and type of paint we wanted to use. Even though this was different than what they normally use, Carlos was happy to oblige, and did so at no extra charge. The crew completed the project on-time and on-budget, and they were friendly and personable. They made sure to cover all of our furniture and floors before work began, and they helped set everything back up after the painting was complete. We are very happy that we chose Carlos Mosquera Painting Inc, and we would recommend them without reservation to anyone that is looking for a reliable, professional painting contractor!

It went great--Carlos came, gave us a professional estimate very quickly. Then we scheduled the painting for a week later and they came and finished almost all of it in one day. They had to send someone back to remove, patch and paint two drywall anchors that they had thought I wanted left alone, but that only took an hour first thing one morning. Great service and really nice work! He buys the paint and I insisted on zero VOC paint--at first he brought the wrong paint but went back to the store and got the right paint while the guys were still patching and sanding so it all worked out.

They were pretty good. They were on time and they have plenty of questions in regard to what we specifically wanted. They have very good customer service.

I originally contacted Carlos Mosquera back in August for a quote to pained my home. Of the multiple painters I brought out, Carlos Mosquera was the most professional, punctual, and on point with the delivery of the quotation. I received multiple quotes for the work to be done. While certainly not the least expensive, I was so impressed with the level of customer service and support I received through the estimate process, I hired the firm to do the work. The team showed up on time and began the work immediately. I had opted to purchase all of the paint myself, but the estimate had included all the labor and materials. Carlos Mosquera fairly removed the cost of the paint from the estimate balance. The work they completed was absolutely gorgeous. I am so pleased with the work they performed; I will most definitely use them again when we move forward with painting the other rooms in the house. i would highly recommend this firm to anyone.

Everyone was very professional and extremely flexible with scheduling. The work turned out to be much bigger than previously expected but I was only charged for the additional material. Beside having to re-do the drywall after the HVAC company installed the ceiling A/C unit, they also carefully repainted all the walls and even matched the texture of the popcorn ceiling (I was not expecting that). I will certainly recommend this company.

Carlos and his team did nice and neat work on painting our rooms. They cleaned the rooms before leaving every day. Most importantly, they protected and took care of our new floors. We found the best way to communicate with Carlos is using Angie's message. Great job. Highly recommended.

The work went very well. The crew showed up on the scheduled date early in the morning to get started. Due to some unfavorable weather, the crew was not able to complete the prep and painting for a few days. Once the work resumed the crew was on task and completed everything promptly. The crew was courteous and professional. They kept the work areas clean and neat. There were only a few areas where paint was dripped on the deck or was found on the back of a patio chair. The price was fair and was highly competitive with the other bids we received. We would highly recommend them to others.

Carlos Mosquera Painting representative Fermin came personally to get a first-hand look at our cabinets and talk about our painting needs. (Some other companies relied on photos they asked us to provide via email.) The company quickly provided a quote that struck us as extremely fair. A crew of three to four people came each day over about a three-day period--the first day with Carlos himself to help guide the work--to paint the cabinets in our kitchen and bathrooms. To a person, the painters were prompt, professional, skilled, and responsive to any questions and requests. They went above and beyond in completing the job carefully and thoroughly, and our kitchen--and bathrooms, too--looks fantastic. We weren't sure whether painting the cabinets would refresh the kitchen like new cabinets could, but the painters' work achieved a beautiful look at a fraction of the price of new. We would recommend Carlos Mosquera Painting without hesitation, and are hoping to hire them again soon to complete a small home construction job.

This is the third time we have used Carlos Mosquera Painting. We have used them for interior and exterior painting, as well as power washing and sealing our deck and gazebo. Each time the work has been outstanding. This time they did a thorough job on our deck and gazebo. They made minor repairs to the deck and gazebo without additional charge. The service was prompt and done with care.

It went great. Carlos offered an attractive price and his workers were punctual, efficient, and a pleasure to work with. I'd heartily endorse Carlos and his team. We hope to use them again in the near future.

On the first day, Carlos came to our house and reviewed the work to be done with his crew. Because it was raining, there were about 8 men prepping our rooms. After that day, a crew of 3 worked daily in our home until the job was completed. They arrived punctually every morning. They covered all the furniture, moved anything breakable, and cleaned up every evening. They moved furniture and removed pictures and, if we said that we wanted pictures to go back in the same place, replaced them back in their original spot. It we wanted to change them, they left the walls clear. They did a great job! They caulked wherever needed, fixed nail pops, checked each room after the paint dried and fixed any imperfections. The crew itself was wonderful - very easy to have in your house. They ALWAYS asked what we wanted done in each room and then did it. They were very careful with our furniture and our possessions. We had to leave town before the job was completed and felt comfortable leaving them with a key. We returned to a sparkling clean house and a bright kitchen with cabinets transformed from dark brown wood to a modern cream color. We cannot say enough good things about Carlos Mosquera Painting. I also must add that Carlos' price was extremely fair. I had other estimates and Carlos beat them all. This is the second time we've used Carlos (the first was for exterior window painting) and we would definitely use Carlos Mosquera Painting again.

Carlos' crew was very professional, punctual and hard working. Overall they did a great job, and responded through the supervisor or Carlos to questions, concerns, or changes. The interior work was a particular challenge since we continued to live in a house full of furniture, but they accommodated our timing requests and generally did everything we asked for. While this is not the contractor I would go to for an "artistic" or unusual job, for good basic painting they couldn't be beat, both on price and quality.

The original estimate was done promptly and the work was scheduled within a week. However, the 1-2 day painting work turned into a 4 day carpentry work that includes rebuilding of exterior stair and balcony rails. Due to the unanticipated amount of carpentry work involved, the original estimate had to be revised and increased (never a pleasant thing). It could have been a very tricky situation but Carlos was reasonable with the final price with the added work. At the least, he was honest with the work that needed to be performed (instead of just painting over) and cared about the quality of his work. His crew were all professional and courteous. They cleaned up each day. I hired him after getting about half dozen estimates over several months. His estimate was little higher than the average (all within $600 range) but the quality is there. Time will tell how this holds up but the initial impression is very good.

They were punctual. They worked in a clean environment. They finished the work on time when they needed to be. They're fair-priced.

It went extremely well from start to finish. From the start of the process, the estimator arrived on schedule and was knowledgeable of what needed to be done and explained what they could do. He took measurements and photos. The estimate arrived via email within two days as promised. The price was good and we accepted and a start date scheduled. The workers arrived on time and went to work. They put down protective plastic and stated scraping and sanding the old popcorn off. They had the tools they needed. It was tough work (we tried doing it ourselves and quickly gave up and called in the professionals). We were amazed at how smooth the finished walls and ceiling were, like new drywall. The paint job was excellent. No blobs, or thin spots. It looks beautiful. The workers were polite and professional. Good communication, no problems. At the end of each day, they told us when they would arrive the next morning and they did. They cleaned up after the job and left a great looking finished basement.

Carlos Mosquera and his team were excellent in their customer service interactions and provider services. The job took one day and I am extremely pleased with the outstanding work performed. I had a previous experience with a non-Angie's List provider and I was not happy with the outcome. I chose to join and use Angie's List as a service provider locator because you actually see the rating other customer's have given for work performed. This information assisted me in selecting Mr. Mosquera and his team. I will definitely contact Carlos for my next painting job.

The Carlos Mosquera Painting team exceeded my expectations in every aspect of the job ? preparation, painting, cleanup -- to paint the exterior of my home. Every member of the crew had one goal: Do a high-quality job. The house was built 50 years ago. It is a contemporary style house with lots of exposed posts and beams. With the flaking paint on the trims, eaves and southern exposure walls, it was the worst looking house on the street. The contracted job was to paint the entire exterior of the house to a much lighter color than the ?barn red?. The project (Fermin) and crew leads came by several weeks before the job was to start to review the contracted work and the expected schedule. The crew took no short cuts in preparing the wood siding ? hand-scraped and sanded (not power wash!), filled surface defects, caulked window & door frames, repaired minor wood trim ? and in applying the primer and final coats. At the end of each day, the tools and supplies were neatly stacked and the area was cleaned. They were obviously very skillful in their trade, but I was especially impressed with how well they worked together as a team ? courteous, friendly, hardworking and meticulous. Carlos Mosquera came by several times to discuss the overall work with the crew, even pointing out details that they needed to pay special attention. Maybe it was such a relief not to have an ?eye-sore? on the street anymore, but many friends and neighbors stopped by to compliment the paint job and the work crew. Carlos Mosquera Painting is an impressive paint company that I would not hesitate to recommend to my friends. Lessons Learned: It is amazing to see how much perceived shades of color on large areas can change at different times of the day. Relying on the small paint swatches from paint stores could lead to a costly mistake. After the first coat was applied to a section of my home, I was shocked to see how much lighter the initial color that I had chosen appeared in the bright noonday sunlight. Carlos was generous in adding just a minimal labor cost to repaint that section, but the cost for the replacement paint was expensive. The ?lesson-learned? is that when a major color change is to be made on a large section of the house, it may be prudent to purchase and apply a small quantity of primer and paint to a small section of the sunnier and shadier sides of the house before committing to the final color. Alternatively, you could just put on sunglasses until you get used to whatever colors you initially chose.

Not much else to say but this is the 4th time I've used Carlos for painting work. He has done both interior and exterior work on my house and I've been thoroughly pleased with him and his crew each and every time. The quality, attention to detail, communication and responsiveness were all top notch.

Decided to get an estimate from this company because a friend had done so in the past and the estimate provided was very detailed and reasonably priced. In addition, it was remarked how well Carlos seemed to know the business. Our initial experience was slightly different. Instead of the owner, Carlos, coming out and putting together the estimate/proposal another representative did so. While this individual was prompt and had a good understanding of what needed to be done, the proposal we received was not very detailed or professional. Regardless, the price was reasonable and all responses were prompt, so we selected them (HOA ultimately revised the proposal to make it more detailed and it was accepted). While the company provided licenses and an insurance statement, the HOA required additional items (W-9 and Certificate of Liability Insurance) the company appeared not to have experience with; however, did ultimately provide. The biggest issue seemed to be communicating via email; English appears to be their second language and while spoken relatively well there was some difficulty interpreting written communication. As far as the actual work, it went well. Some areas on top of one of the fences, which were hard to reach and see, were accidentally missed but the company promptly returned and fixed. Surrounding areas were left clean.

The crew was excellent. The project was very well done and I am very happy with the end result. I would certainly use this company again in the future.

Though they called me as soon as I issued an inquiry, the provider never showed for a scheduled appointment at 9 am on Saturday, August 16th to perform an estimate. I never heard from them at all, which was disappointing from a professionalism standpoint. I had cancelled another appointment in order to accommodate their request to meet at 9 am on Saturday.

They were professional, thorough, no mess and good job.

I called and left a phone message which I assume was his cell phone voice mail but it was not returned. I did not attempt to use email or contact him though Angies list or his website, only the one phone message. I think it's reasonable to expect a call back. I know my job wasn't small. I would love to give this guy a shot at the painting job I need especially after reading positive reviews. But if he doesn't call me back, I just can't do that, can I? Maybe he was on vacation?? If so, I'll give him a try and delete my grade of C for him.
