Terrific work. The crew was on time, extremely polite and professional, and did amazing work. They painted the entire 640 condo, removed a mounted TV and repaired holes to the drywalls - flawless. They painted inside the closets - and even in there, they did a beautiful job. They even finished a day early. Also, the owner Carlos comes out to do a walk-through when the job is done, which I think is a very personal touch... and he guarantees to come back out and fix any of the paint work up to a year. He actually did come back for me when I noticed a little peeling above the shower that was missed the first time (from an old paint job). He personally came out with a member from his crew and took care of it in an hour. Carlos stands by his word. I'd recommend them to anyone.

My husband and I are delighted with Carlos' work!! Carlos and his team de-leaded, prepped, and painted our 4000 square foot home. We de-leaded for safety reasons, but all the additional prep work the team completed and the actual painting transformed our home. My husband was impressed with the quality of the workmanship and Carlos was exceptionally professional and courteous to work with. I HIGHLY recommend.

Day 1 - The worker did a extremely thorough job of prepping the area by patching dents and holes. Day 2 - Primer and 2 coats of paint Day 3 - Painted trim and doors Everything was high quality work, I would gladly recommend this company to my friends and family.

Carlos is very responsive and scheduled our renovation promptly. Fermin, Eduardo and their team are extremely professional and paid a lot of attention to details.

The one thing that wasn't clear about the estimate was that it had not included the chimney. My interactions with them were fine. The quote mentioned window trims, doorways, soffits and something else. But it didn't specify whether or not it included the fireplace. I need to follow up with them on that because it's a three story chimney with wood trim from the top to bottom. So, that could affect the estimate. Otherwise, they specified the type of paint that they would use, how many coats they would apply and what areas they would apply to. The estimate came in in a timely manner. The guy was fine.

Carlos Mosquera's company did some painting for me a number of years ago. He was great then. He was great now. It was clear from the start that the job would go well. The estimator, Juan, emphasized that his aim was to do a first-rate job and ensure a happy customer--top quality primer, then two coats of top quality finish coat, plus extensive and unpleasant preparatory work. At the inception and throughout the course of the job, when I had questions Carlos and Juan got back to me immediately. Both came to the job regularly to check on things, as did Enrique, the logistics manager. This was a big, messy job, probably bigger than they first anticipated. Regardless, they remained responsive and positive throughout. The job turned out very well. A bonus was seeing Carlos' crew at work and getting to know them personally. They were punctual, very responsive when I had questions, and cleaned up the considerable mess that had to be generated. More than that, I developed great respect for the attitude they brought to the job, how they worked together as a team, always in good spirits, singing, smiling, and all the time doing first-rate work.

, In 2008,we hired Carlos Mosquera's company to paint the exterior of our home, built in 2007 (we changed the color of the shingles from a stain to gray paint) and also to paint several rooms inside. We were incredibly impressed, and so we asked him to bid on the complete repainting of the exterior this fall. His bid was very competitive (he offered an Angie's List discount), so we were pleased to hire him again. Working with Carlos and all of his painters has been one of the more pleasant and satisfactory experiences we have ever had working with vendors of any kind. Carlos is a perfectionist, always on time, and directs his team with clarity and with confidence in their work. Although he always has other jobs operating at the same time, he comes by the job site at least once a day, usually once in the morning and once in the afternoon. He is thoughtful and pleasant, extremely professional, and explains everything thoroughly. They started on a Tuesday, asked our permission to work through the weekend, and finished the next Friday. Most days there were 6-7 painters, with 10 one day and toward the end a day or two with 3-4 workers. Everyone was courteous and good-natured (they seemed to really like each other -- even my neighbor commented that the workers got along remarkably), and they all seemed to be perfectionists like Carlos. We were particularly impressed with Manuel, the carpenter, who replaced window sills and frames, and with one of the painters, Eduardo, who went above and beyond to solve a problem with the fit of a double-hung window. They are fantastic. Everyone worked very hard, and the result is gorgeous. They made sure to paint the stucco in our large window wells and along the foundation, and the prep work everywhere was thorough and detailed. They completely cleaned up every day, and at the end were very careful to ensure that all of the screens were replaced properly. (While they were on the roof they even cleaned the gutters.) As far as we are concerned, this company is second to none, and we will call on them again for any painting needs. We can recommend them wholeheartedly!

I was very happy with the work done by Carlos Mosquera and his crew. Carlos was great with communication for coming to an agreement about the scope of work and price. Once we had an agreement, the crew came out the first day of the next week and quickly finished the work with a large team in 2 days. They prepped the house by removing the shutters, and then scraped out all the old caulk that was peeling and cracking. They then applied the new caulk on the same day. Much of the painting work was completed on the first day, some parts were primed and finished the next day. I asked them to do a few small touch up spots after I saw the work on the 2nd day, and Carlos sent a guy the very next day to finish up. They even cleaned off the shutters and applied a coat of Armorall (shutters are plastic), which was a small task, but not included in the original contract, and they did it at no extra charge. I would highly recommend Carlos Mosquera to other homeowners.

The team was extremely professional and the quality of both the carpentry and painting was excellent. Extensive and intricate prep work including repair of extensive wood rot was accomplished within budget. The team, led by Firmin, kept me informed as the work progressed. Carlos ( the owner) was personally involved, which we appreciated. The team was extremely good about cleaning up on a daily basis and putting things back in order. The house looks great! We recommend them very highly.

The estimator came very quickly and gave us a clear, detailed proposal, and work was scheduled to begin about two weeks later and took four days. Made helpful paint finish recommendations and purchased exact Benjamin Moore paint we specified. Staff was very polite and professional and the reconstructed walls and ceiling look great. They left the work area clean and the job was completed very professionally. Would definitely recommend Carlos's company.

CArlos' team was led by Mauricio who was extremely conscientious, responsible and wouldn't accept less than perfect. They did a professional job and used the utmost care. They covered every floor and every object and took great care and pride in their work. They arrived on time every day and were respectful, courteous and most importantly did a fantastic job. I would use them again for sure. You're in good hands.

Carlos and his team were excellent--hardworking, skilled and courteous. The painting was done to a very high quality--complete coverage and smooth finish all around. Very good value for money. We highly recommend using Carlos and his team for any painting job. They arrived early the first day and finished the job in 2 days over the weekend (to schedule). They used the colors we picked from Home Depot and left us the extra paint for future touchups, which is much appreciated.Carlos' assessment of the job was professional and accurate. I had some serious damage in my condo from settlement issues, leakage issues and old earthquake issues. I noted the excellent references for Carlos and called him in the morning. Within 48 hrs., the estimator had come and reviewed my issues and Carlos had sent me an estimate, detailing each section to be done and copies of his license, bond and 5 references. I was quite impressed! In 2 weeks he came to do my condo with an excellent team and completed the project in 4 days. Carlos came out each day to evaluate the job and progress. His assistant came for the first 2 mornings and outlined the plans for the day. Since he has several teams, he is flexible with the amount of people he can move to a job. I started with 2 team members for the patchwork and walls. I had 3 team members for the entire ceiling work. The team was punctual, cleaned up each day and always consulted with me regarding the day plans. I couldn't have asked for a better company and outcome in my condo. I am very grateful to have selected such a professional and pleasant company for my needs . I would highly recommend this company.

The Scope of the project: Paint the front exterior of my two story (small) row home in District of Columbia. I needed the house touched up because I had some mortar repointing done earlier in the year. The house was completely repainted 3 years ago so I didn't actually need to repaint the whole house but I wanted everything to look fresh. Areas included in the exterior, front door, iron porch rails and front porch (including the deck). Carlos Mosquera Painting Inc seemed like a good company with great ratings. Carlos was very responsive and professional. I reached out to four companies, all with more than 50 recent superior customer reviews. Carlos Mosquera Painting Inc was the first to respond but came in 40% higher than the other three reputable companies. In addition to coming in 40% higher, his service yielded only one coat of paint whereas the other companies yielded 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of paint. My advise is to beware of his pricing. I've been hiring contractors for years and this was definitely a serious case of price gauging. I didn't bother negotiating because of the huge gap between his prices and the others. Hope this help you get the best price for your service.

Carlos' crew showed up at the perfect time, not too early, not too late. He was willing to adjust an original quote to help me satisfy my homeowners association. Carlos Mosquera did excellent work that even exceeding my expectations. Every concern was handled like a pro and the finished product totally took my breath away. A phenomenal painter with artful execution. I highly recommend him. He made my house look new again!

It went very well. This is the second time we've had Carlos's team paint at our house. We've been very happy both times. The bid was very reasonable, and the job was well done. The team was professional and a polite and good-natured group of guys. Carlos came and checked the job over carefully himself. Oh, and they actually were able to start a day earlier than planned, so we were able to get other jobs done more quickly.

Carlos showed up along with Cesar at the beginning. Introduced himself and Cesar. Wanted to see the entire scope of work and then discussed all details with Cesar. Gave me a time estimate. I had forgotten to request they do an additional window in the bathroom connected to the bedroom windows and Carlos told me they'd take care of it within the original estimate cost. Cesar worked promptly and courteously. Great work finished on time. Cleaned up after himself. Courteous and respectful of our need to come and go out of the garage even during his work there, moving ladder intermittently. Carlos came by later to check and make sure everything was going okay. Overall fantastic work, professional, courteous. I will call Carlos for future painting needs. Thanks!

Carlos and his team were wonderful! The job took a bit longer then we both anticipated, but the work that was needed was extensive on the exterior of the house. We are very happy with the work completed and can really see why the reviews for Mr. Carlos were so good to begin with!

Very impressed with the responsiveness, professionalism and quality of the work. Workers were thorough, making sure the job was well done, working for two full days, cleaning the area before painting, covering up furniture, and applying several layers of paint to ensure the coverage was seamless. Clean-up was impressive too, leaving the area pretty spotless afterwards. Carlos came both days to check on the progress of the work, and to ensure that we were satisfied with the results. He was very accommodating with our requests, and got the paint color and brand we requested and also painted the closet door at the top of the stairs since he felt it would look better even though that was not included in the estimate price. The basement has been completely transformed, and we would hire them again in a heartbeat.
