Tim Kyle Electric Heating & Cooling

Based on a previous positive experience with Tim Kyle Co Electrical, I decided to have them tackle a project I?d been putting off for some time ? an upgrade to the electrical service for the whole house. This required the removal of an old, overloaded electrical panel and installing two new panels to bring the system up to current code compliance and increased safety. The technician, Brian, explained all that would be needed, gave me an accurate quote, and on the day the project started, arrived on time and got right to work. He advised me that there would be no electrical service to the house for six hours but had service restored a half-hour early. The entire project took a day and a half but he addressed all my concerns and finished earlier than I expected ? even with my wife and I coming up to him with additional things to address. He is professional, engaging, and was very understanding and patient at addressing our concerns and answering our layman?s questions regarding the work. I feel like I must address the cost of the service as I have seen other reviewers mark Tim Kyle down for being more expensive. For me, the price I paid was a fair price for outstanding work. I have wasted money on other electricians and did not get nearly the type of service I have experienced with Tim Kyle?s company. Yes, I spent a little more than I would have if I had gone with a company that offered a cheaper price, but I firmly believe that you get what you pay for. The peace of mind I have now knowing that the job was done correctly, on-time, and within budget is worth it. Knowing that I won?t have to call Brian back out to fix something that he took care of (like I had to do with another electrician) is more valuable to me that the few dollars I would have saved with a cheaper alternative. Based on this experience, I have already scheduled additional work and look forward to having the same outstanding service.

I had in issue in my basement where the circuit breaker for the electrical outlets in my finished basement would trip whenever something was turned on. I had contacted another electrician, but after several visits and several hundred dollars in replacing assorted plugs and other electrical components throughout the house, they could not find the main cause of the issue. I contacted Tim Kyle Co for a second opinion, and the electrician (Brian) found the issue within the first hour of looking. Brian took one hour to find what the other electrician could not find in about eight hours of looking. Brian showed me the problem and explained what needed to be done and what my options where for repair. I decided to have him run a new line for the circuit and he completed the job in less time than the previous electrician took with his diagnostics and troubleshooting. I am very pleased with Tim Kyle Co electrical service and especially Brian?s knowledge, experience, and professionalism. I will definitely be calling them for all my future electrical needs.

Very professional and good work as best I can tell based on personal experience and AL reviews. But... I would hang onto my wallet and get a second opinion before signing a contract with this company. My recent experience: estimate from Tim Kyle, $470 just to show up with the right equipment to diagnosis the problem plus the actual cost of the repair. Fixed by another company for $100 with no drama or stories about needing two men for their "Flintstone" 200 lb/16 ft ladder (apparently made of granite). The contractor who made the repairs had an aluminum ladder, one competent electrician and was gone in 30 minutes.

Brain arrived and asked me what my immediate and long term goals were with the basement. He then helped make a plan to address both.

The electrician, Bruce, is a great guy and worked with a very difficult tenant of ours with professionalism and aplomb. He did all of the work efficiently and well. Tim Kyle gives a lifetime warranty on his work!

Electrician arrived on time and was professional. The job took approximately 7 hrs and another electrician arrived to assist. Very good experience.

Not so well.

There was no power to several light fixtures and basement outlets. The electrician (Leland Hughes) diagnosed the problem in the circuit and located the source of the faulty outlet causing the problem. Mr. Hughes was courteous and professional. He phoned ahead to let me know what time he would arrive. He explained the steps he needed to take to find the cause of the problem and what could be done to prevent this problem from reoccurring. Leland readily answered questions about the work being performed. He was very pleasant, quite an asset to his employer.

My property was inspected after we went under contract to sell it; the only item on the inspection list was a range hood fan that did not work. Tim came a day after I called for services, and very quickly determined that the fan motor had seized. He gave me the option of ordering a new motor for it - which would take quite some time to arrive - or to simply buy a whole new range hood and have it installed on the spot. I chose the latter, and in very short order Tim returned from Home Depot and installed the new range hood within 30 minutes or so.

He was very thorough and cleaned up any mess he made. Tim had a terrible cold a few days before he was originally scheduled to come out, so he called an we rescheduled for a time that was convenient for both of us. Tim was courteous and professional and also very knowledgeable, explaining things as he went along. I would definitely use his services again.

It went well. When it turned out that the fix to the old bathroom fan didn't work, the owner himself came out late at night to make the change to the outlet. Very professional, courteous, fair price

Work was done efficiently and effectively. Leland Hughes and Brian Greaber were very thorough, neat and clean in the service provided. A job well done>

The gentleman called ahead of time. He was prompt, and was here at the time he said he would be. He was very clean, and a very nice young man, he completed his job very quickly.

What they had to do was explained in human terms instead of big words that I didn't understand. If I had a question, it was explained so that I understood. Thank goodness! They told me other things that may need to be done in the future and why. To me safety comes first.I'll explain as best I can to my husband when he gets home from work. If he doesn't understand something I'm not sure of I was told that I can call 24 hours a day for help. I do feel a lot better then before. They were very friendly and helpful in the services that they provided.

Bruce was very nice and very professional. He sat down and listened to my issues. He did an inspection of the work that needed to be performed and then wrote an immediate estimate and began the work. The nice thing about Tim Kyle is that they work on a Firm Fixed Price scheme, which means they do not charge by the hour. I was very pleased with the work done. They also offer free safety inspections, lifetime labor guarantee and a three year guarantee on parts.

Went extremely well and maybe just a little pricy. Leland was very courteous, cleaned up after himself, place a drop cloth where ever he was working, placed his coat on a mat on the floor and wore booties on his feet when ever he entered the house.

Ryan was the rep sent to our home. 100% professional. 100% knowledgeable. Called back in a timely manner and was on time ! Wore protective shoe coverings and explained things clearly. Did exactly what he said he was going to and double checked some things on his own to make sure they were right. Because of his work we would call Tim Kyle Electric back to our home in the future hands down. It is always nice to feel like you have found a trustworthy vendor to work in your home. A+ Experience.

This was a big job. It took most of the day. He did a great job putting in new wiring for the washer and dryer. I would definitely use them again.

Abridged version since Im on my IPad. i was having significant electrical problems with potential serious consequences. I called for emergency service and was able to talk to someone late Friday night. We arranged for service early Saturday morning. Lee arrived. He was punctual, polite, knowledgable, and friendly. Lee set an Excellent first impression representing his Company well.

They were extremely prompt. They were just very concerned about our needs. We were laughing because they come in and wear the footies to protect the floor. We have dogs and so there was dog hair all over the place. We told them they did not have to wear them but they said it was their policy. They were absolutely excellent in everything that they did and they kind of helped us save money. They came up with some ideas, because one of the things that we had discussed easily could have exploded in price. It was bringing in heavy equipment to do something outside just for the lamp post. They came up with something else and it didn’t cost even a tenth of the price of bringing the heavy equipment. So we were very much appreciative of that. We will absolutely use them again in the future. They have one of those service agreements where if we pay them a certain amount, they will come right out any time when we need them. It’s like peace of mind for us.

they arrived on time gave me an estimate. I agreed to the estimate after which they started the job and completed the job the same day. I was very pleased with the job.

We moved to Texas before we were able to sell our home in Maryland. When we finally got a contract on our house, the buyer requested that we make some repairs to the electrical system before settlement. We contacted Tim Kyle Electric because we had used them previously while we still lived in Maryland. We spoke with Ryan Kyle and he agreed to go take a look at the problem and gave us an estimate within a few days. He agreed to do the work and send us a bill upon completion. The work was done a few days later, well before our settlement date. Dispite the fact that we lived 1500 miles away, we we able get the necessary repairs made in a limited amount of time. We thank Ryan Kyle for helping us accomplish this.

The only criticism that I had that $1100 was a lot of money to pay for the installation of two light fixtures in the basement, one of which I supplied & troubleshooting the exterior. Then he removed an electrical line that was outside the house and hooked to the house. I didn't get competitive bids on the work, so I might have had 5 people come in and all 5 would have charged me the same amount. The work was done well. It was done timely and courteously. It was very professionally done. I selected him because I was aware of the quality work he did. I will give him high ratings for what was done. He was there for 4 hours. He doesn't come and work by the hour. He would just come in, look over the work and give the estimate. If one accepts the estimate, then one sign and if doesn't then they will have to pay a house call charge, which $75 something like that and that will be my only complaint. If I had 3 or 4 other electrical contractors out there then I am sure they would do the same things. He was excellent. It was the son who did the work and he was very courteous. He made sure what the drill was. He was in the uniform. He looked neat and clean. He was very professional. The price was high. I will talk a little more succinctly about the price.

When I called the office I had a specific task in mind - to replace a 50Amp breaker. The young lady that answered the phone was very polite but it was obvious that she was working from a script and was asking very generic questions. When I provided details regarding the type of breaker that was needed she stated repeatedly that their trucks carry a large variety of parts. I requested that she take down the information anyway and she did. Ryan (service manager) called back later that day and requested more information regarding the breaker. He wanted to make sure that the electrician had the correct breaker when he arrived. Bruce (electrician) arrived right on time and discussed the problem. He said that the company offers a free (included with the service call) electrical inspection of the house. He inspected the electrical box and tightened all of the breaker connections. He also discovered that one of my GFI outlets was not working properly. He offered to replace but I declined and replaced it myself. Bruce replaced the 50 AMP GFI breaker as requested and stayed several minutes to make sure everything was working properly. I felt very comfortable with his abilities. He even put on shoe covers every time he entered the house. I would definitely use Tim Kyle again.
