The owner, Dave Flinkman, was recommended to me by my excellent plumber (Robert Boccia of Glenoak Plumbing, who I found on Angie's list). I had a time-critical project in which I needed a large amount of drywall installed and painting done before I could move into my newly purchased home before my rental lease expired. Despite the fact that Dave was fully booked with other jobs, he took my job at a very reasonable price, and went above and beyond to get the work done on time. He would work all day on his other jobs and then come work on my house every weekend and evening. I cannot thank him enough for that sacrifice. The quality of Dave's work was outstanding. I have now lived in the finished house for over 6 months and all of the drywall he installed and painting he did has really held up. He sanded and primed all the new drywall, making it easy for me to paint. He did a lot of small things that added value for me, such as installing access panels so I could access water line shutoff valves (which are behind the drywall) easily and replacing small areas of crown molding that had been removed by previous contractors so they could access the ductwork and plumbing. Drywall work is a dirty business but Dave did a great job of keeping the place (including my new hardwood floors) clean as he went, and he recommended a number of cleaning products and techniques that helped me clean a few residual areas and reduce the remaining circulating dust. I am especially happy about the quality of the painting Dave did for me. I was able to select the paint colors and his expertise in this area really showed. My kitchen was painted a bright shade of red, which is a tricky color to get right, and Dave did it so well that I am continually being complimented on it. Most importantly to me, Dave was incredibly easy to work with. He is a cheerful, amiable, and professional person and all of my interactions with him were a real pleasure. Despite the fact that he must have been exhausted working into the evenings and on the weekends for 3 straight weeks, he was always in an upbeat mood when I would stop by at 10 pm and find him toiling away. He was able to get my house finished ahead of schedule so I could move in as planned. I really appreciate Dave's professionalism and feel fortunate to have had him work on my house. I also want to mention that I had some questions about the house in the weeks following completion of the work and Dave was great about responding to those questions in a timely manner by phone and text. I really appreciated that he was willing to go beyond the scope of the actual job to help me out. I highly recommend Dave and River Stone Remodeling, and will be sure to use him again in future projects (such as renovating my bathroom, which is next on my list!). HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
