Excellent job doing exactly what was needed (remove 5 dead trees and elevate two large maples), with minimal impact to the yard, even though large equipment was used. They covered ground-up stumps with dirt, reseeded the areas, and covered with straw. All debris was cleaned up following the job. Very professional. Their price was more than 20% less than a competitor's estimate.

My split rail fence on the corner needed to be removed to provide access. The fence was put back and no indication it was removed. Great. The stumps were grinded, trees removed. Area was pristine. Great work. Communication with Chris, the owner, was very good. We had weather issues and Chris kept in touch on when he could get equipment back there to do the work. Would recommend. They arrived promptly on the morning scheduled and got right to work. They brought a bucket truck, a chipper with covered truck, a stump grinder, and a skid steer (bobcat). Some trees were able to be simply dropped while others required topping. They used the skid steer to load and push the brush and smaller limbs through the chipper quickly. They cut the trunks into 18" chunks for me to split into firewood. They ground all 9 stumps and removed several more with the skid steer at no additional charge. They graded the areas around each stump and sowed grass seed over those areas and any areas that were impacted. Ichabod Tree is now my "go to" tree company. I expect to need more work in the next 2-3 years and will definitely use them again!

The tree had been damaged by the weather that were overgrown over the roof.

We were building and extending our house and so we needed a tree down. It was in the way; they couldn't do construction unless the tree was gone.

With the wet May Chris was concerned about lawn damage during work activity and didn't just rush to the job without regard for adverse effects. He provided great communication though the entire job. When we finally got a day where my lawn could take the activity Chris and his crew worked many hours with very professional results. The morning of the work the entire crew reviewed the work and we discussed exactly how and where I wanted work activity to occur in lawn to result in best completion. They spread seed and straw on the ground stumps and all work areas. Clean up was immaculate, all the tree mess, branches and leaves totally clean end results are better than we could have expected. Very pleased with the entire experience.

Chris arrived promptly at 8 AM with his two workers. He remained at the site some of the time but went to another site at one point and returned later in the afternoon. His two employees were very pleasant and worked all day taking only a brief break for lunch. They cleaned the area of all debris shredding brush as needed. They left the yard clean. Chris returned early afternoon to guide them through the finally issues when they needed the aerial cutting on the tallest parts of the trees. They relocated a fallen tree trunk to an area in the very back of the yard so it was out of sight. They finished around 5 PM. Before they left Chris remounted the rope swings that had to be removed due to the lower branches being removed. This was truly appreciated as I had no idea how I would have replaced it and my grandkids just love them. All in all I was very satisfied and have recommended him to others. .

Ichabod's Tree Service came out, gave me a very reasonable estimate, performed the work exactly as agreed, and the final price was exactly as estimated. The crew was friendly and professional and completed all the work quickly.

This is the second time we have used Ichabod's Tree Service. They responded promptly to give us an estimate and we scheduled the date for the work to be done. The workers were prompt, extremely courteous and even removed some unruly branches from another tree at no extra cost. Chris the owner came by as they were finishing and spoke to my husband concerning the job and to determine if we were satisfied. This speaks volumes regarding customer service. This is why we contacted them for a second time and will use then again when needed. We highly recommend them to anyone who needs their service.

We had a very good experience with Ichabod. We had a huge job to tackle in our back yard. We had nearly 30 cedars that were severely overgrown and neglected by previous homeowners that were causing damage to our home and yard and our neighbors home. We were hesitant to even receive an estimate on the job, as we figured there was no way we could afford to have them all completely removed and ground. We were very pleasantly surprised to receive Ichabod's quote that was very reasonable. We proceeded with the work. It took them less than 2 days to remove and grind 28 cedars, grade and reseed the yard. They even put our fence back up which was not part of the original estimate. They were very professional and friendly. We highly recommend!

It went fine. They were able to get it down without any complications. It was one small tree so getting the actual work scheduled was tricky as the owner was working on getting it scheduled around a larger job in our area. However they didn't balk at the smallness of the job and got it done efficiently. I would absolutely recommend them to someone else and would absolutely use them again.

Chris was on time, informed, pleasant, & professional. I explained the color code marking system in the yard (yellow for arborist attention). He had some good ideas for dealing with the damaged branch on the large poplar, & didn't try to up-sell me "treatments" or poisons of any sort. He promptly provided estimate, which we accepted. I will update this review once the work has been completed (about 3 weeks from now, according to current schedule). UPDATE (this is written late, work was actually done within estimated time frame) Chris & his workers did a great job, spent most of a full day, cleaned up their trimmings plus many additional trimmings & downed honeysuckle already in the yard. Very pleased with his service & professionalism. I don't remember exact cost, but it seemed reasonable for the work estimated. .

Went very well! Chose them because of previous reviews on Angie's list. Did exactly what i expected them to do! Cleaned up afterwards which was great! Removed a pile of brush that I had gathered. Very pleased!

Chris and his crew did an excellent job and I highly recommend them:). I had 9 pine trees removed including the roots, the area was then leveled and he even seeded the ground. Chris was great work with, was knowledgable about his craft and gave me a great price for the work he did.

It truly was a free inspection of our property and sound advice. We don't have to do anything for a year. Chris was very professional.

The Ichabod's crew showed up on time and got right to work. They removed a 40 foot white pine tree and ground out the stump, even spreading the chips along the back of our lot. After the pine was down they trimmed several pines and maples that were also damaged and picked up a large number of branches that had fallen during the storm. They filled their chipper truck twice we had so much debris. They cleaned up when they were done and left barely a mark in the yard. We've used them twice before for tree removal and we are always very satisfied with their services.

This company is fantastic to work with! We had used them twice before to have large trees removed and others heavily pruned. EVERY TIME they have provided the same top notch service! The work crew has ALWAYS gone the extra mile and exceeded our expectations. This most recent experience was during a terrible ice storm that caused a tree to fall on our house. I placed a call to Ichabod's immediately after the tree fell just hoping to "get in line" as I knew they would be getting many calls that day. My call was returned within 15 minutes and Chris came out within a couple of hours to assess the situation. The crew came back later the same day and not only got the tree off our house (preventing further potential damage) but also removed ALL of the other large limbs and debris that fell during the storm. We felt appreciated as return customers when our job was taken care of so quickly! Thank you!

I was at work when they came to provide a quote. They called me at work and told me that they could take care of the trees that afternoon. I explained that I wouldn't be home to pay them and they said that it was not a problem, they could collect later. They called again when the job was finished to explain what they did, how the site looked and why it would look that way until the ground settled where the stumps were removed. I would definitely use this company again.

This company is fantastic! Very accommodating in regard to scheduling. Extremely courteous, timely, knowledgeable, reliable good and thorough workers. They had a lot to do but were in and out quickly and good cleanup. Will call them again for any tree work. A very good experience overall!

A crew chief came out and gave an estimate on the same day as our initial call. Included in the estimate was mention that due to the size of the tree trunk, equipment would be used that would slightly damage our lawn and that filling in and reseeding the damaged area would be included. Obtained 3 estimates for this work and all 3 were within $30 dollars of each other; picked Ichabod's since they gave the best description of what would be done. Scheduled a date in early August but they called in late July and said they had an opening that Saturday if we wanted. They arrived promptly Saturday morning, Chris, the owner spoke to us several times during the job, and the work was professionally done. Cleanup was very good. Although damage to the lawn was minimal, they took care to level out and reseed the dented areas.

Great , we got the estimate the day we called. The tree that fell on our barn roof was removed without any damage to our barn. All debris was removed. We are very pleased with the whole experience.

The owner Chris Partenza and his crew were absolutely amazing and very personal. We had six 50' - 80' + trees taken down. Three were cut up chipped and all debri taken away. They even took down a tree that was a danger to our neighbors fence and one of the red oak trees they cut up and stacked for us at no additional charge. There was minimal disturbance to our lawn which they filled and seeded. Our lawn looks as if there was no activity on it at all. We had three estimates before we decided on Ichabod's and found that they had all of the equipment needed to do the job quickly, thoroughly and cost efficient. In fact we were so impressed with their work that we had them return in May to remove fallen trees and debri in another area of our property. We will most definitely refer this company to anyone and do plan to use their services again in the future.

Responded immediately to the initial call but was slow in providing the actual estimate. Price was higher than the company we eventually used. We were very pleased with the company used.
