Charlie did a remarkable job of restoring my antique china buffet. He came to my house, gave me a very fair quote for the amount of work that would need to be done (the piece is heavily carved in some places and has two carved griffins holding up the top), and made arrangements to pick up the piece. He just brought it back today and it is absolutely beautiful. Charlie did an exemplary job of refinishing a very difficult piece. I would recommend him to anyone.

I recently rec'd my parents' 1939 Art Deco bedroom suite (no bed - just dressers). I was saddened to see that it needed to be refinished. Thought about doing it myself, but the furniture was just too big and heavy for me to handle. I called American Wood Restoration for a quote. Mr. Frock came to my house 2 days later. He looked at the furniture and gave me a quote. We agreed on a price and he came back a few days later with help to remove the dresser, vanity table and bench and 2 large framed mirrors. After the furniture was stripped, I drove to Westminster to pick out a stain color. This week, Mr. Frock came back with the refinished pieces. The furniture looks wonderful--like they are brand new. He did lots of extra work that I had not thought of like providing extra support for the two large mirrors. He put new casters on the dressers so that they can be moved more easily. I was so happy with the work he did that I gave him an armoire to refinish. He was very prompt, very detailed and I am very happy with the results.
