Description of Work: They cleaned the gutters (removing the gutter covers) and skylight and cleaned the leaves from the roof. Appeared to have done a good job.

Description of Work: Two men came and cleaned the gutter and left debris in the valleys. I tried to ask them why they did not clean them also and they did not speak enough English to communicate with. So when I called the company to question this they said this was an extra charge and that I had not asked for this and therefore it was not on the order to be done. Why when I phoned was this not offered, I just assumed it was included, why would I get gutters cleaned and leave debris in the valleys to then wash down into the newly cleaned gutters???? I then noticed that my aluminum gutter guards were all flipped up around the edges where they lifted them up to clean the debris all the way around!!! A supervisor came out and to observe and ask me which one of the guys was on the roof and I told him and he then chuckled. He said he didn't know what to do and had to speak to the owner. The owner came out and said the problem was that my gutter guards were old and that they were unable to remove them because of their age so the guy chose to lift them up which bent them. Ok,so they are old and I can understand this then they should have been Instructed to alert the owner of the house when they may think that cleaning the gutters may cause damage due to their age or condition. This was not done! The owner said "we came out and did the job you asked us to do and I dont see that any of the damage will cause them to be any worse than they already are, you need new gutters"! Unbelievable lack of professionalism. Because of the age of my gutters I was not expecting them to replace them but I did expect out of principal that they not charge me or have at least reduced the price! What customer service! They have no idea what customer satisfaction is all about! Warning, if they cause any damage whilst on your roof, good luck! Do not use this company!

+ -1 moreI thought they had a great sales person. They stuck to their initial contract. They did piece work. They had a triple masking guy come out and do it. Originally they did not install it correctly, they did not install what we had contracted for. However, when I called the sales guy that I dealt with, he took care of it. It was taken care of in the next two days. I don’t know much about their quality of services but what they did for me I would give them an ‘A’. I would use their services again in the future.
Description of Work: I used the services of Uncle Skeeters. They came out and replaced my roof.

+ -1 moreI think that they did a good job. Noone else did covers and they stated they could so I went with them. I'm really not sure if they put the gutters back?on properly and they were really hard to understand because of the language barrier. I didn't have a chance to look at it to tell them what I thought about the job because they left so fast.

+ 0 moreI called to schedule their advertised free estimate and was told that someone would come to our home within the next week. Much to my surprise, I came home to find an invoice stuck in my front door for gutter cleaning services rendered. I called the company to reiterate that what I ordered was a free estimate. No one called to say they were coming; I'd been away from home all day and had no way of knowing whether the gutters were cleaned or not. The secretary apologized for the error and would see what she could do. What followed was a barrage of harrassing letters demanding payment; the last letter threatening my credit rating. As a last resort I contacted the MD Attorney General's office for help in resolving the issue, which they did in short order on the basis that a company cannot charge a consumer for services not ordered or wanted. Uncle Skeeter responded that though they still believed they were right, they would cease the harrassment for payment.

+ -1 moreThey did what they said they would do, they came when they said they would come, and they didn?t leave a mess. I think they did as good as they could do. The workmen don't speak English, only the people in the office do. The office is a little weird sometimes.

+ -1 moreI called for an estimate; they asked a few questions and gave me a final price; they came out within 3 days; 2 guys worked on cleaning the gutters and were in and out within 15 minutes. I had a $5 off coupon and mailed them a check with the bill they left in the front door.
Description of Work: Clean backed-up sediment from downspout in front of house; hose down front & rear gutters to make sure they were clear.

+ -1 moreI had used this company before back when it was called Ned Stevens, and even though that was some time ago, my name/address was still in the database. I was given a price right over the phone and was told the job would be done in about 7-10 business days. Well last Saturday morning, a 2-3 man crew showed up at my house and went right to work. Cleaned/flushed out the gutters and did indeed collect the gunk and hauled it off. It certainly wasn't thrown on the ground!. The invoice included a 'next cleaning' due date which I could've scheduled on the spot, but I decided against that.
Description of Work: Our house just needed the gutters cleaned--we have screens over them but they still get gunk in them.

+ -1 moreI have dealt with Ned Stevens for 10 or 15 years without any trouble, so I decided to have the work done. They knew all of my information and had my past service dates, so I believed that they were in fact taking the place of Ned Stevens. When I had the work done they sent two guys who did not speak English so we were unable to communicate. They did clean the gutters but they did not nail them as they were supposed to. When I called they said I would have to pay again to have the work done. It was a bait and switch as far as I am concerned, and I certainly will not plan to use them again.
Description of Work: They called and said that they had bought out Ned Stevens, and offered to do the work that Ned Stevens would have done.
