After several floods in my finish basement over the years, mildew and mold became unmanageable. Shopping for affordable contractors is always a big decision. By chance and the grace of God, I came across Sam’s Remodeling LLC of Waldorf MD. This company came in and assessed what was needed and found issues I did not notice until they were pointed out. Given my additional requirements, I was provided a reasonable and affordable estimate that fit my budget. The men that perform the work was always on time and did not disrupt me as I work from home. I allowed the contractor to decide the basement color and flooring scheme. I could not have made a better choice. The workmanship was fantastic. From my experience, I highly recommend Sam’s Remodeling LLC of Waldorf MD.

Working with Sam's Remodeling was a wonderful experience. I choose his company for my whole house remodeling. I was pretty nervous at the beginning to start such a huge project but Sam really helped me get through the whole process with ease. From budgeting, design, construction hiccups to last minute touchups he was there for me and made sure that my needs and expectations were taken care. I had purchased a older house and gutted it out and he basically remade everything in the house....when I say everything, I mean everything. I even replaced my front door. I would totally recommend Sam's Remodeling to friends, family, neighbors or strangers. He is the best person to be by your side during this stressful process. I highly recommend Sam’s remodeling for your home projects. Sam took my ideas, added new ones and together we designed my dream kitchen. I appreciated Sam’s quick response to my questions and willingness to create solutions. At the end of the day, I felt he really wanted me to be happy with the service they provided and the finished project! I had Sam to remodel my master bathroom. He came and gave the initial estimate. The staff was always on time and worked diligently to finish the project. They were courteous and answered all of my questions. I selected glass tile for one of the accent walls, and Faustino did an EXCEPTIONAL job on the tile work in the shower. I definitely would solicit their services for future projects!

I contracted Sam's Remodeling to makeover a bathroom. Sam's cost estimate was reasonable for the scope of work that included demo exiting bathroom shower enclosure, tile and floor tile; reworking plumbing; tiling an accent wall, shower walls and flooring; painting; and installing lighting and accessories. Sam's crew did an excellent job on this project. The crew was respectful of my home and cleaned up each day after completing work. They also worked diligently towards completion by working on Saturdays and a Sunday. Sam and his foreman maintained communications with me throughout the project. Overall, the work was excellent and I would use them again.

I think that Sam and his team do great work. He is easy to deal with and his prices are very fair. I will definitely be using Sam again.

We had a significant kitchen remodel done by Sam and his crew. They raised part of the ceiling, replaced cabinets, counters, floors, lighting, etc. They also knocked down the wall to the laundry room and combined the rooms. They promised the job done in 4 weeks and mostly (with the exception of some Covid-19 complications with supplies) delivered. He gave us a very good price, and unlike others, he didn't try to "up-sell" us on bells and whistles that we couldn't afford. Sam came up with some really neat ideas I would have never thought of: for example, he created an 8 foot window seat out of cabinetry, giving us a lovely space to lounge while providing a lot of extra storage. He was open to using different materials that weren't in his wheel house - I wanted to use green-friendly Marmoleum and he wasn't familiar with it. However, I was able to order exactly what I wanted and his crew installed it perfectly. The crew was also very polite and overall friendly and helpful. Really went the extra mile for us. They tried hard to minimize dust and mess. They were patient with me when I agonized over pain colors and painted different walls with samples to help me decide. The only negatives I would mention is that the design we agreed to had to change a little bit because the narrow cabinets they selected wouldn't fit. They could have done a better job of communicating this to us - they came up with an alternative solution and implemented it without asking us. If we had hired an architect - which would have cost at LEAST twice as much -- maybe that wouldn't have happened. On the other hand, when I changed my mind about a couple of things mid-stream Sam was fine with it and managed to accommodate everything I wanted without jacking up the price. So all in all, even though there were some places were he didn't follow the design exactly, we ended up benefiting from that. He wasn't perfect (no one is) but he was incredibly responsive - even after he got paid and had no incentive follow up. His main goal seemed to be able to make us happy - and he did! I would highly recommend him and am planning to hire him again when we do our bathrooms.

Sam was great to work with. He had lots of ideas for how I could improve my master bath. His initial estimate came within 3 days of his on site survey. Although, I was not finished getting estimates, Sam frequently contacted me to see where I was with making a decision. His workmen were dedicated to my project and showed up every day on time. They were flexible with some of my scheduling conflicts (appointments, etc.). The work area was always neat and tidy at the end of each day. I am pleased with the workmanship and happy with my new bathroom. The reason for the 4.5 in the customer service is only because a few times it was not easy to communicate with the workers. They were always courteous. If I could enter the rating in this category I would give it a 4.8.

I had two bathrooms remodeled and a small one built in the basement. I interviewed 4 prospects; Sam came, understood my vision, and was able to provide a great price. We discussed my vision thoroughly and Sam sent me to a couple of places that he worked with to find items I was interested in. I was able to find the materials I wanted to complete my project and then some. The workers were awesome. My lead installer was Daniel, he was more of a perfectionist than I was. He understood what I wanted and asked questions each step of the way. I loved working with Daniel and his partner 'little man'. My advice to home owners: First, know what you want. Take the time to have a vision, do not leave it all up to the contractor, especially if you are of different ethnicity, your vision will never be the same as the contractor. Second, if you can afford it, do some pre-shopping if you want specific items. One of the reasons Sam and I worked so well was because I purchased specific items I had envisioned in my bathroom. I did not leave everything up to the contractor/designer. Third, talk to the installers (workers) and Sam as the remodeling is going on. Each night take a moment to walk through the area and annotate what you do and don't like, no one is a mind reader nor can they catch everything. Forth and most important, if you receive a price, budget 10% - 15% more. Even on the HGTV shows the homeowner more often than not has to pay additional costs because you never know what will be uncovered during demo or what you will want as the renovation gets on the way. Build that buffer in, if you don't, then don't blame the contractor when the costs increases. Finally, if you have a specific taste and don't pre-shop then be prepared to see the cost rise. Take ownership of your project. In the end you will be more happy with the final outcome. I plan to use Sam again when I am ready to do the Kitchen. Wandra Arnold

Sam just completed his third project for me and I have found his work to be excellent! He did a complete bathroom remodel in April and I was so pleased with the caliber of his work I asked him to upgrade our second bathroom and I also hired him for a project to convert a screened-in patio to an all-season room and it is absolutely beautiful! He and his team pay very close attention to detail and I have been extremely pleased with the quality of his work. All of his crew members have been meticulous and very pleasant. I would highly recommend Sam's Remodeling as I found him to be very honest and their prices are fair and competitive for the marketplace. I had quotes from 6 different companies for our bathroom project and although Sam's quote was not the lowest, I felt most comfortable with his professionalism, honesty and in his level of expertise. Communication was an issue for us, the counter top I selected was not what I received. Had to select between 2 options at the last minute. Project was not completed on time due to miscommunications.

We worked directly with Sam, and he provided such a positive experience, we will use him for any and all future projects at our home in Maryland. Professional, Prompt, Courteous. His attention to detail allowed us to inform our insurance of the problems. He researched and documented the problems, provided photos, and explanations that we used as a rebuttal to get our entire estimate fully funded by our insurance. Thanks, Sam! I had Sam and his crew remodel my whole house. Sam was a true professional. He talked me through the process and what to expect. Throughout the remodel process he provided outstanding communication and answered my questions at all times of the day. I loved working with him and would recommend him to anyone seeking to do a remodel in their home.

Pretty good job on everything from the design to completion. They are on time, very honest and pricing is great along with quality.
