Called and made appointment. Steve and Dave arrived within the 2 hour window. I was not sure if the fans needed replacing or just the thermostat. They went right to work, diagnosed the problem, explained what was needed and replaced the thermostat. When asked if anything else was needed, I asked them to wire the smoke detector and check the GFI which also needed replacing. Both Steve and Dave were very pleasant, honest and efficient. The cost was reasonable and I will use their service again.

Dave and Steve arrived early and performed an excellent job replacing my outdoor outlet. They sealed it and put a cover on top (which the previous outlet did not have). They did an excellent job and I was happy with their service. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Everyone told me that they would have to go behind the wall to get to the wire. S&S knew by the end of a phone conversation, that they switch just needed to be fixed. Their competence saved me hundreds of dollars and countless hours. They showed up on time. They were in and out in 10 minutes. They price they quoted me was about what I paid. I will DEFINITELY use them in the future.

Dave and Steve of S&S Electric made an appointment to arrive between 0900-1100 on 6 May to do an estimate. They arrived at 0930. I took them through the house and showed them the panels to replace in the cellar and under the stove in the kitchen. Asked for GCFI circuits in the kitchen, a light in the oil tank alcove in the cellar, put a plug in the upstairs bathroom and replace 31 two prong plugs with three prong plugs.

Good work. Quick turn-around in terms of getting work done. I also used them for a previous larger job.

I was able to schedule an inspection and confirm an appointment within 24 hours which was a lifesaver. I was going to purchase this home but the last thing I wanted to verify was the electrical. I was not able to attend in-person so they walked me through the inspection on the phone after. They found the external wire was not grounded and there were a lot of flags found inside the breaker. Saved me from making a major mistake and I am grateful . The property later received a stop work notice from the county.

.They did some work for me in 2014, and I gave them an excellent rating ,the Tech was very good,all A's. So my thinking was that they would be glad to install a surge protector, boy was I wrong, my problem this go around was with dispatch, some rude older guy who was totally unprofessional, and said basically that he would not honor the price for the special deal I wanted. Suffice to say I will never use this contractor again ever. I know they have a records of previous customers and to get treated like that really made me angry. My intentions were to give them all my work and throw some more work their way from my extended family, but not these jerks. Again I want to say my issue is with that old jerk in dispatch not the techs that do the work.

Very professional and always on time. They worked well with the builders that worked for me. The did the wiring for a screened in porch for multiple outlets in the porch and below the deck. The price was very competitive. Installed a ceiling fan and recessed lights with a dedicated line.

This was an emergency service as I could not take the chirping any longer. It is funny when you find a company that says emergency service but when you say you need them you get the run around. I called Michael and Son - could not get service (emergency service) for Saturday or Sunday - need to schedule. Called Kolb Electric their technician was in West Virginia and just for the service/travel fee it was $300 that did not include the cost for the work. I called Mister Sparky - no emergency appointment. Then I lucked up and tried S & S. The technician was understanding and willing to come out right away. Finally a real 24/7 establishment. He came and fixed our smoke detector quick, fast, and even waited to make sure no issues. He even said if we had any problems to call him back. We are so pleased we plan to call them for all our future electrical needs. I will remember that everything individual's put on their website is not true, that these places that say they will get you someone is not true, and you really have to support those that stand behind their words. The entire household is very pleased to finally get a good night of rest.

After contacting S & S Electric via email and requesting price quote for labor only on installing a transfer switch for a portable generator, Steven responded quickly with a price quote and some simple questions about the job. I made an appointment for the installation and Steve and his colleague, Dave, arrived on the appointed day and time on schedule. They assessed the work and came up with a plan of attack and got straight to work. It took them a total of 2 hours to install, wire and test the power going from my generator to the new switch and all the items I wanted to hook up for power. They even took a look and fixed a loose wire in a bathroom fixture for free. Steven was very good about explaining what I needed to do to use the switch, what issues to watch out for and maintenance tips for my generator. Overall the whole job was very professional, priced fairly and went extremely well. I would highly recommend their services.

Right from the start, they were immediately responsive to emails and calls and just really pleasant to speak with. When it came time for the work they knocked it out just like they said they would and did an outstanding job! No subs are used, the owner is on site, and I would reference them to anyone. I love Steve and Dave, I have had them to do several jobs since I bought the house in 2011. I always feel comfortable with them and they always give me good advice. My microwave kept knocking the power out on one side of the house so they suggested that it be on its on line. They came on time did the job as well as two lights in my house were not coming on even with new light bulbs. They took a look at that as well and explain to me what the problem was and fixed that as well with no extra charge. I always know the job will get done and done correctly. When a 20+ year old wall oven failed, I ordered a replacement from a local provider and had it installed. Unfortunately, the modern wall oven was two inches deeper than the old wall oven. The installer who was employed made it clear that his role was to only install and he could not modify anything. I was left bereft of any immediate resolution. I called over 18 different electricians and explained the situation that I needed. All of them either failed to call me back or when they did they begged off of the job. I was upset and desperate. At 5:10 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2015, I called S & S Electric, LLC and spoke with Steve. He explained that the job could cost anywhere from $280 to $400 depending upon what he would find and that the earliest he could be available was between 9-11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2015. I hired him and anxiously looked forward to his arrival. On Tuesday, August 11, 2015, he and another worker (Dave) arrived. They were courteous and extremely businesslike. They listened to me and immediately proceeded to evaluate the situation. They assessed the situation, determined what they needed, went multiple times to the truck, and returned. They took care of the problem, pointed out that it was a good thing that I had not been using the oven and cook top because there was a non-code plastic box behind the units, corrected the situation, and charged me fairly. I would certainly hire them again with the understanding that they are a small organization that needs lead time for appointments. I was truly happy with the work that S & S Electric, LLC did and the end result.

On Friday, July 31st, I called S and S and made an appointment to have someone come and install a ceiling fan on my porch. I was offered an appointment Tuesday afternoon, but opted to make an appointment for Wednesday instead. The gentleman I spoke to at 888-922-9473 asked various technical questions about the installation (box, etc), quoted me price information, took down my info, and said that I would get a courtesy call Wednesday afternoon when they were on their way. Wed at 545 pm, having had no call and no service visit , I phone S & S at the same number I called Friday (which I accessed from my phone log, so there is no risk I misdialed) to inquire about their whereabouts. Gentleman who answers phone says I must have them mixed up with another S & S. I politely say, no, I'm calling the same number I called Friday, it's in my call log. He continues to condescendingly inform me that I must be confused, says that there are only two people there including him and neither of them "has ever heard of me." When I ask if I may speak to the other gentleman I'm told that he's "too busy." No apology, no nothing. Terrible experience! I needed this installation completed before a party on Saturday and I'm nowscrambling to come up with a backup plan. And, I've wasted the afternoon waiting around. Not sure what's up with these guys--maybe they had a computer glitch--but the way I was treated is beyond rude, and beyond bizarre. Stay away!

Steve and Dave and gave us a fixed price quote while they were there and scheduled us for three days later. They were awesome and finished the job in less time than we expected! They were prompt, courteous snd respectful of us and our home. They cleaned up before they left and were extremely prifessional.

While opening the swimming pool for the season, the pool people found that the :GFCI breaker would not reset. They told me that they would have an electrician come out to fix the problem. Several days later the pool company called to tell me that I would have to arrange for my own electrician. I called S & S Electric and Steve came out to look at the problem. He found that the bad part was no longer manufactured and the company did not have a replacement part. After some research and discussions with other professionals he found a way to resolve my problem for the least cost to me. He disabled the existing GFCI and installed a new GFCI breaker in the pool panel. I'm so happy! Steve went the extra mile. His research helped save me money and it also gave me back many happy hours at the pool during the hot summer months. I imagine that other electricians would have sent me back to the pool people when they found that the parts were obsolete. (My god, the pool is not yet 5 years old.) I speculate that the pool people would have told me that I needed some renovations and charged me big money. Anyway, I love dealing with Steve and Dave. They pay attention to the details and aim to please the customer. Before leaving, they also got the Badu Jet pump working for me by priming it. Again, I'm so happy with the results.

I was impressed with S&S Electric, LLC. I called them and gave a description of my problem and they were able to give me the probable cause of the problem and quote a price to fix it. They came out within 2 hours of my contacting them. The electricians were pleasant and professional. They explained what caused the problem in terms that I could readily understand. They charged me the price previously quoted and honored the 10% discount that being a member of Angie's List qualified me for. I also asked them questions about upgrading my generator and they explained options I could consider. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone with electrical service needs.

They arrived early to start work on digging the trench from the pool pump to the gazebo. I worried that the trench would tear up the yard, but the trench is relatively neat. I don't think it will be long before it will blend in with the rest of the yard. The outdoor ceiling fan looks great and works beautifully. We are anxious to use it on hot summer days. Once the work on the gazebo was complete they started working on installing the outdoor light and the outlets in the kitchen. The whole process took less than a full day and everything was cleaned up before they left. I'm very pleased with their work. Steve, Dave and Lance are great guys and a pleasure to deal with. I will call them again for future projects.

S & S Electric are wonderful to work with. They seemed to love the challenge of old houses (two companies wouldn't even give me a bid!) and worked quickly and efficiently. They showed up when they said they would, the job was finished on time and on budget. It couldn't have gone better.
