They said that the unpainted area was a caulking area. I asked if the caulking shoud be used only as a sealant near to the edge. They said to wait 24 hrs and evaluate the job and call them back if unsatisfied. The following day while wiping the tub, part of the caulking covering the unpainted area came off. I called and got the owner Mr Edward Stroman. As I explained to him, he started to raise his voice and obviously upset told me that, if it were my fault, I would have to pay him for the repair. I couldn't believe it. I demanded him to come and see and confirm himself the poor work done. In a very bad attitude he finally agree to send somebody out. The guys came and repaired the unpainted surface. The work wasn't good. But, I decided to accept it as it is and didn't complain. As the guys were packing, they said their boss wants to talk to me. I got on the phone and Mr. Stroman in a very rude and loud voice said that the chek I gave him the first visit was not good and that I had to pay in cash the $350. I said that I would have to call my bank because I never had a returned check from my account before.. I called the bank and they said no check had been returned. He called back and said that if I didn’t pay them $350 to the guys right away that he would come out and tear up all the paint. I told him I would pay him once I make sure the check was deemed bad. Meanwhile, I continued to check with the bank to see if it had been cashed or refused, but it hadn’t been. The check was OK. As I tried to explain to him about the check, he went crazy...he started to scream on me and threatened me with having the tub scraped. I then told him to give me my check back and I would give him the cash. The guys got in the phone and few minutes later they were hitting my doors with containers of paint remover. They threatened me. I thought about calling the police. I was alone at home and felt intimidated. I handled the cash and asked him to leave. They walked away with my money and still I don't have the check. I am in schock. They were not only rude, but agressive. I fell humilliated.
Description of Work: I called PROGLAZE RESURFACING after getting their number from the yellow page book. They do reglazing of bath tubes. I called them to repaint/ re-glaze in white, my bathtub which was originally yellow. They came and did the job but when they were about to finish I noticed that they were covering with white caulking a large area that was left unpainted. I asked them if it shouldn’t have been painted.
