Orkin Pest Control

I use Orkin for pest control. They are fine. I had termites in my home and my back fence. I'm still termite free. I'm considering them to do insulation in my attic. They show up and do what they got to do. I had them come out and do an inspection last month. They come by and do twice annual inspections.

The cost depends on what you are having done. If you are having a general bug service, then it costs $110. They are very good.

We are going to be selling our house, I wanted to make sure that we would not have a termite problem, when we are ready to sell. The company seems to be very professional.

I recently moved to Maryland from Texas. I had contracted Orkin for my Pest control in Texas and was very pleased with the great service they provided. When I moved I contacted Orkin about setting up service for my new home. They assured me that I just needed to provide them with my address and it was a seamless transfer process and that it should all be set up in no time. I moved into my home on the 7th of May and contacted Orkin that same day to setup the first treatment as it seemed that there were a lot of bugs that had taken over in the Short Sale we purchased. I asked if they had any time available the following day prior to us moving in all of our furniture. The representative on the phone said that she wasn't sure, but she would give the information to the local Maryland office and that they would give me a call later with their earliest time available. 2 days go by with no call from Orkin. I called back and was fortunate enough to get the same representative who I spoke with earlier. She remembered me and appolgized that no one had called me. She assured me that she forwarded my information again and that my local office will call me soon. 3 more days go by - still no call. I call again, and reach the same representative. I can tell that she is upset that no one has called me back. She transfers my call this time so I can speak with the office myself. In speaking with the local office. The lady apologized for not calling me and said that she had my paperwork, but just hadn't gotten around to calling me yet. She finally was able to set me an appointment slot from 8-12 on the 16th of May. I coordinated with my work to take the morning off in order to be home for the appointment. at 12pm on the 16th, after no one had come for my appointment, I called Orkin, and was transferred to the local office. The lady remembered me and said that she forgot to put my appointment on the schedule for the tech. We were able to set another appointment at 5pm, after I would be able to return from work. In the end the appointment went OK. I had pulled everything out of my kitchen cabinets so the tech could spray in them. I remembered from my first treatment in Texas, that this needed to be done, and I had double checked with the lady on the phone to see if this needed to be done. When the tech arrived he told me that he wasn't allowed to and quot;over spray.and quot; so he wasn't able to spray in my cabinets that I spent about an hour cleaning out and covering everything on the tables and counters. Payment was the same that I was accustomed to in Texas - fair. I believe there is something seriously wrong with Orkin's computer systems. They told me that the reason it was so difficult to make an appointment for me, is that my information was not showing up in their computer as a transfer yet. The office lady told me that it could take up to a month to transfer my information. After calling the office back to try to start up regularly scheduled services, the lady mentioned that I still wasn't in the system yet, and I should try back next month. She also mentioned that if I am still not in the system, I can just schedule another one time treatment. Well..... The month is up (45 days actually). Im still not in the system. I called Orkin to schedule a treatment and received the same message that the local office will contact me to set their first available appointment. That was last week, and I still haven't gotten a call back. I do believe that Orkin techs are very well trained and they use good products, but you have now lost a customer who once praised your name. I hope that this customer service (none at all, the customer does all the work) is remedied. There are many offices in the area, but the address of this office is stamped at the top of my receipt from the 1 service I received from them.

We have a new construction home and we noticed mice droppings in our kitchen. We tried to locate the point of entry. However the mice were still getting into the house. So we called a few local pest control services to see who would be able to find the entry point. Most said they would only catch the mice and not be able to find the entry point, which was not helpful since I could catch the mice but I wanted to stop them from getting in. So we called Orkin who said they would locate the point of entry. Orkin's call center was informative and explained the service options we could have. they also scheduled the appointment the very next day which is exactly what we wanted. They also were able to schedule a later afternoon appointment which was much more convinient for us because we both work. Rashad from Orkin was there the next day after we called. He was polite and answered all our questions. he search the outside and inside of the house including the garage and attic. He spent about 2 hours performing this service, checking behind cabinets and all the rooms. He was able to locate two potential entry points that we had not discovered. He filled these holes and laid out 4 more traps for us in the garage and explained what we should do over the next week to monitor the situation. We felt that Orkin was thorough and professional. Rashade was polite and answered all the questions we had. He did not rush his appointment with us. We felt that although the service was a little more expensive than 2 other local pest controls we called, the thoroughness of the service and Orkin's willingness to try and locate and actually locate two potential points of entry. Also the service comes with a 30 day warranty so if we see any more mice they will come out immediately to retreat for free.

Excellent! I booked with Orkin in the morning and recevied service the same day. The gentleman was professional and he showed us all the holes were mice were coming into the home. He also explained what we would have to do next. Orkin is the # 1 company for Mice control in my eyes.

I have an ongoing contract with Orkin, I have been using them for 17 years. I have not had any problems recently so they only do an annual inspection for me right now. Anytime during the year if I notice anything I can call them, if they find a need for retreatment they will do that. When I purchased the house the previous owner had a contract with Orkin and I inherited that and retained it. I have not had any problems with them.

The same service tech comes each time. I haven’t had any problems with him or with the office staff. I have been using them for over a year.

They were responsive, but not helpful. We did not like them. They were also more expensive than the other providers. The person who came out tried to employ scare tactics, and I didn’t appreciate that. I found him to be unprofessional. I would not recommend Orkin Exterminating Co.

We did not use them, but they came out and were great. They did not write us a quote because they could not help us with our problem.

I never followed through because it was too pricey. They arrived on time. The gentleman who came was very professional and courteous. He provided me with a lot of information about their product. They spent some time looking at my property to describe the services they could provide. I had a good experience with them, but I just didn't go with them because of the price.

I received an estimate from this company. The tech arrived a little late, did an inspection of the property and provided an estimate. I felt the reponses he provided to my questions were somewhat "canned". I felt that the estimate/price was extremely too high and I was paying for their name (Orkin) vice service. I did not choose this company for my termite prevention contract nor pest control. Instead, I chose another company

They are very good. They send out the same technician every time to my house and he is assigned to my house. That is very nice because he asks questions and also answers my questions. Though it is a standing appointment, he gives me a call before he comes so that I can be there if I want to talk to him.

I have never had any problems with them. They are great and I would recommend them to other people any time. They are thorough and correct all of the problems for us. I am pleased with the price as well. We pay for the service monthly.

We have been pleased with the service so far. They charge us per visit and they come out every other month. They always ask if we have seen any problems. They are also great because the chemicals are not hazardous to my animals, so I am happy with that as well.

The technician was knowledgeable but had a very thick accent, which made it a little difficult to understand at times. He was polite.

THIS IS A VERY PROFESSIONAL COMPANY. THEY FOLLOW THE NECESSARY STEPS TO ELIMINATE THE INSECT PROBLEMS. THE COMPANY SHOWS UP WHEN SUPPOSE TO BE PRESENT.

THIS COMPANY HAS GOTTEN RID OF MY ANT PROBLEM. THEY HAVE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, ARE VERY PROMPT, and ARE CAREFUL OF WHERE THEY SPRAY IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN, WHICH I THINK IS VERY THOUGHTFUL.

I THINK THAT THE COMPANY DOES A GREAT JOB, THEY COME OUT WHEN THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO AND ARE PROFESSIONAL. THEY HAVE KEPT BUGS OUT OF THE HOUSE AND I AM PLEASED WITH THEIR SERVICE.

I HAVE USE THIS COMPANY FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS. I THINK THAT THEY ARE A GREAT COMPANY. WHEN EVER WE CALL THEM THEY WILL COME RIGHT OUT. WE HAVE NOT HAD AS MUCH PROBLEMS WITH SPIDERS OR MICE.

THEY ARE A PRETTY GOOD COMPANY. THE REPRESENTATIVES ARE VERY NICE, THEY LET ME KNOW THAT THEY ARE HERE, AND WHAT THEY WILL BE DOING TO MAKE SURE IT IS OK WITH ME FIRST.
